@ImKingLouie Once you've got a cygwin shell working (X installation is optional), it works pretty much the same way as in Linux for most GNU style tools: Run "./configure", then run "make". In the case of these tools of mine, only cromfs has a configure script, the others have just a Makefile.
And of course, gcc can be invoked manually exactly the same way in both Cygwin and Linux. You need to have gcc (and other tools where required) installed though; use Cygwin's setup.exe for that.
@landshark666 No. But it does change to bold font in addition to selecting high-intensity when high-intensity colors are met. Additional unavoidable blurriness is provided by YV12 chroma supersampling built into video codecs.
This is the list of commandline options I gave to xterm. -fb black -fg gray -fn -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--10-100-75-75-c-60-iso8859-15 -fb -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--10-100-75-75-c-60-iso8859-15 +rv +bdc -wc -bw 0 -cr somecolor -8 -sl 5000 -geometry 80x28
The ADLMIDI software performs horribly on my Windows 7 (64-bit)

I've compiled a few things in Linux before. But I can't figure out how to use Cygwin.

I can't help but notice you have a buttload of ProTracker MOD files.
I approve.

Are you using a tweaked xterm resources file to change the font of certain ls-colors in your xterm?
