Personal thoughts: I haven't watched Y&R in ages (not since the mid-90s) and the casting of Michael Muhney as Adam, which I only recently learned about, has me watching the show again for the first time in ages.

As for Adam being gay/bisexual and evil, it's an interesting twist that makes the character kind of unique. Plus, more interesting than Noah/Luke, which is watered down and played for maximum denial as far as writers coming up with new ways to keep them seperate, every week.

at the end of the scene the men buttoned up their shirts which implies they did it, luckily ashley stopped victor from opening the door.

adam tries too many stuff not to get busted already. it feels like victor is being gaslighted. i prefer adam is off the show instead of these crazy plotting.

Wow, I think Y&R has really done it this time. Making Adam have an "affair" with this Rafe guy is just too much! Now I know why the original actor that played Adam left, and this guy replaced him, because the original Adam didn't want to play a gay guy! Oh well...this is just too much...and I think a wrong turn to make in the show. I'm certainly not interested in Y&R anymore!

For me this SL went beyond the line when Adam caused Ashely to actually have a miscarriage, and she couldn't tell the next day? Y&R is coming very close to insulting our intelligence on many levels with this and other plots. Hogan Sheffer spun some pure gold on ATWT, i'm still waiting to see the shine in Genoa City.

Folks need to stop seeing every gay character on television as a symbol to represent all gay people. Rafe is one guy who has his own individual personality and beliefs, etc. His being gay is just part of him like having brown hair, it doesn't dictate what kind of person he will be or what he will do or how he thinks.

As for Adam, he's a manipulative calculating guy so the idea that he would try to manipulate Rafe with sex makes perfect sense (just like with Heather). Rafe ain't stupid though.

The very last place i'd look for symbols of gay culture is the tube, especially soaps; not because it isn't a useful tool in portraying all walks of life, but in my case that isn't necessary. I have enough to draw from with friends and immediate family.

BTW, i never said i hated this SL because of the gay aspect, but of course you would assume that, frankly the only gay aspect is Rafe, and he's yet to make an impression on me. As for Adam, this boxed in SL as only one way out which is a waste.

No offense, but i can't see how anyone could find this SL sexy or hot; it's twisted and quite frankly pretty offensive especially since Y&R can't even follow through with the scenes....if you're going to write this crap then you can't wimp out of showing the actually sexual scenes... good luck with writing these people out of these current messes.

I'm actually quite aware of what soaps are and i don't watch them for realism, just entertainment, however fiction is used to pander to actual human emotion so that the audience reacts to it: good, bad or indifferent. Mine is bad, but i''m entitled to it, because that is what fiction prompts, differing fews.

This storyline is not about being "gay" or what "gay men" are like. It's a story about two people playing cat and mouse with each other. It has nothing to do with being "gay". Just because a scene or a storyline has a gay person in it, doesn't mean some statement about what "gays" are like is being made.

This storyline is about what Adam and Rafe are like as people. So good.

That would mean you're posting a spoiler and responding to a scene that most of us haven't even seen (and yes, Previews are spoilers too and some of us choose not to watch them) so how could we have an opinion on this scene?

Of course everyone is free to voice their opinion and with that freedom comes the reality that people will disagree and challenge you.

I have been watching Y&R for years which entitles me to comment on a SL if i don't like the turn it's taking...i assume that every comment you make on here is favourable.

I am not a toddler in a preschool sandbox so I have no need to start fights with strangers. My original comment was in response to SL being deemed HOT, the SL is dark and disturbing and is further boxing the character of Adam into an unredeemable corner, but it's far from hot. That is, once again, my opinion. So Good.
