Is the Singapore of today due to the brains and efforts of the PAP govt alone as is commonly assumed by many?

I think it is the result of everyone's contribution - from the roadsweeper upwards.

The Chinese have a flair for doing business and where there's a sizable Chinese community anywhere in the world, the country concerned usually prospers. So it is with Singapore.

Everyone is greedy. If you're not greedy, then you wouldn't care if their pay is more than yours or not; you would just be content with what you have, regardless of what others have.

And PAP ministers' salary is by no means unjustifiable. If they're doing a good job, they deserve good pay. PAP is doing well. Low rate of homelessness, no starvation. As for rising prices, everyone has to deal with them in this economy. Even ministers. Suck it up. It's not like we can't afford necessities anymore.
