@bliss6120 Buddha's main teaching topic is about balance in everything. Yes, it is bad that we humans contributes in the eating of animals, but must not forget about the balance in it. Without them getting eaten, then there will be too much of them, destroy too much, then there will be no more. You see we human destroy the innocents animals, but we also make sure that we do not destroy too much. Keeping the sacred balance of life.
The Buddha was 'very clear' in the Mahayana Buddhist Scriptures that 500 years after He entered Nirvana, his followers should NOT be eating any more meat. Eating meat will diminish your' bodhicitta' and ' ahimsa (non-violence) was the basic teaching of Buddhism. Buddha saids animals (humans also) are one of the 6 realms of existence and they have a 'soul' and suffer just like human beings, they are here on earth to evolve 'naturally' and not to give up their lives to feed us.

I am too far away from home now separated by oceans and continent, listening this song made me remember 5 years ago in the place where I was from, the place where I had ever home. Beside my mother's bed, I accompanied her till the end of her life to chant Amitabha Buddha and Avalokitesvara mantra. This song made me feel I still have home

@baitogogo Home is where we are.. :) I understand that each one of us stayed or grown up in a place more than another or had wonderful memories there but that is the beauty of life. It changes continuously.
