  • Why does Trevor go to a pub or firebox? Surely he'd have a phone in the guard house

  • I love how there's a riot and Ann and the other officers don't leave. They go BACK IN??? Why not just give the rioters hostages.

  • Marie kill Myra? Myra could easily take on Marie and Reb without any help

  • I hate Judy in this riot. Remember the tough Judy when she first started. Remember when she had her own riot. Now she's a raving, whining peacenik

  • The writing was inconsistent because new writers, storyliners and producers did not research the way the long term characters were as they had been originally portrayed. And why has the riot alarm siren lights changed from blue to red?

  • 7:09 Look At THe Mirror When It Smashes =]

  • The previous fire/riot. Jim had to haul her frozen-with-fear bum out of there to safety and then she objected to using firearms to take back control. They eventually sent her home to get her out of the way. She was supposedly upset over the riot that had killer her hubby.

  • I Will say in defense of the writers that with this riot they spent a fair bit of time setting Megs mood up...She foresaw the riot happening and she kinda prepares herself for what is to come. There is of course just over a 200 episode gap between the 2 riots, enough time for a charecter to change,

  • Yes. And thank god she did change. I always liked her character, but she is much more realistic as a prison employee after Joan arrives and she toughens up a bit and handles herself professionally and personally as a woman befitting her age, experience and personal background would. She's not perfect, but her shortcomings are at least in character. Freezing during that earlier riot would have gotten someone fired or at least placed on leave pending an eval. Officers get sacked if they lose keys!

  • There are a number of occasions when the prison staff should have been sacked,. LOL! Like when they went to the singing contest and all escaped! I mean, come on!

I think Meg freezing in the previous riot was unrealistic. She had the shock of her husband's death but it's her career. She had been doing it for years and years.

  • How was she during the great fire of wentworth that happened in between? I can't quite remember.

  • Speaking of that early riot: it's always bugged me that when Meg was talking to Bill on the ride to hospital she said none of them were trained to react to a riot, that there should be an 'emergency procedure.' You mean that a prison had no plan in place for a riot or hostage situation?? Really??? Ridiculous.

  • Funny how sometimes, earlier on, Meg was useless in an emergency, yet other times like this one, she's fine and in control. Very inconsistent writing.

  • When was she useless in an emergency?

  • no, freak, its called character development, she was usless in earlier riots, but she got used to it and was able to handle the later riots better.... so it's very good writing
