4 words...survival of the fittest. The reason humans are able to destroy this much land and kill off so many animals is because we are on top of the food chain. Houses ain't gonna build themselves! And just where are we supposed to get wood for houses? The rainforest has plenty of trees to go around, it's just that you green crybabies make a big deal over what is only a small fraction of the trees cut down.
