@klimacs Ear protection is for people that don't want their hearing damaged, eh? You obviously haven't fired a .44 before. You can feel the percussion of it from 30 feet away.
@igrungeisded For general police use, home/urban defense, a gun with a good stopping power is the best. Revolvers are great, if you can use them. I myself carry a Taurus .38 SPL. The kick is not so strong I believe, but it's perfect since it will drop any target in one shot and there is no risk of hitting anyone behind that target.
That's amazing revolver. It shame over in newzealand, it's really hard to own a gun that big. Also you need to have a license and a thing called endorsement to have certain gun. It's truly an awesome gun to watch
sweet gun and video. im sure in the 4 years since you posted this you have learned to drop one of your feet back a bit and lean a little forward so your not blown back that little bit for follow up shots.
that is also a stance tip for new shooters watching this. dont lean back to see the sights
Now why don't you go and take a nap little boy, I know airsoft probably has a big recoil for someone like you, you're like what 12? Grow up a little before you go throwing around terms like "argumentative dickhole" and maybe your mommy will buy you a ballon.
The highest caliber gun ive fired is a .45. I cant tell the difference in the kick of a .45 and smaller calibers but im a big guy. Is there a big difference between a .45 and .44.
Ye chrz its such a nice gun although over exaggerated by harry because it wasnt the most powerful when the film was released its still a beutiful peice of metal lol
Not anymore S&W new prices are out the roof and i wouldn't buy a used one. Don't get me wrong im a big smith and wesson fan it's all i've owned in a revolver but my brother got a 7 shot tracker and i like that revolver better than the 686"s i've owned
that looks like a taurus 44 6.5 inch barrel 44mag and it's not a raging bull nor ultralite. the ultralite has a shorter barrel that's either 2.5-4 inches.
The .38 is considered to have insufficient stopping power for police to use, which is why they upgraded to 9mm. .44 Magnum is suitable for anything up to and including Black Bear.
i plan on getting a raging bull in .44 mag for hunting sometime in the future. S&Ws from what i heard are better quailty but i want a raging bull before i get a S&W .500
I love how everyone always says "err try a 50 cal" like they have any idea of what they are talking about. The 50 caliver handguns are powerful, but that doesn't mean the good old 44 isn't, the .44 mag is still a devastating round.

It's amazing the freedom that you americans have. i'm from brazil. Here, although all the violence, is very difficult to get a gun. For civilians, we cannot have guns over .380 acp.
I had a ruger redhawk chambered in 44 magnum once.I got to take it to the range about a month after I purchased it.The piece of crap was shooting 7 inch groups.Called Ruger and they said "send it to us".Got it back about 2 weeks later with a little note explaining that they replaced a defective barrel. The only firearm Ive ever had to send back for repair was a ruger.
Taurus makes one hell of a gun for the money. They need a bit of fine tuning, but most all of the wheel guns nowadays do too. We have come a long way from the 50s and 60s when Colt and Smith put hours in to tuning their guns before they were shipped to the consumer. I have a Python from 1968 that is as close to perfect as a gun could be, that came from the factory. The other near perfect gun is my Walther P-38. Both are perfectly blued and polished and their action is so smooth it's like butter.
You know the Python I got was used so much the bluing was wore off of the barrel from being holstered so often4, however it has the best action I have ever felt. The movement is so smooth and the clicks are so precise I use to cock it and slowly let the hammer down so I could fell the actions smoothness and the precise click when it fell into the slots. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.:-)Now I am not picking on any other gun manufacture but this one is truly a jewel. SMOOTH MAN SMOOTH
I've owned 4 and all but one had problems. The barrel shot loose in the frame on a 454. One 44 spl wouldn't fire in DA a third of the time and hit way off point of aim when it did. One brand new 44 magnum tracker had timing problems right out of the box. My Taurus M85 has worked fine.
It's funny you mention the S&Ws. The reputation of their guns had been atrocious. However, as of the last number of years, S&W gun quality has been returning to its glory days.
i agree sela, but i have heard alot of good things about them. i just purchased a taurus model 627 .357 tracker it has been a pretty nice pistol smooth and comfortable
yeah i agree i own a taurus myself, real smooth shot, heavy trigger pull,i was just refering to the similarities to most of the popular fireamrs out there..... correct me if i'm wrong but that looks like the raging bull?? i've fired that myself at a range
I owned a 454 Casull Raging Bull. Very nice and not awful as far as recoil. The only gripe I had were the narrow grips. The felt like they were cutting into my palm. Overall an awsome revolver and worth the money spent.
