Although I agree with Mark Thomas, there still remains a tension between what the community wants and what is morally and practically good for them. These are not qualitatively comparable. Local residents need to want to shop at local shops, not have their potential options narrowed by force. Tesco are only big because people wanted to shop there in the first place. So far all seems well though in the area.
