We already predicted this long time ago that inflation will force CBK to raise interest rates and burst this construction boom. Not worth it getting a house at 20% interest. Buy in the US at 4%.
@siasabora do we still a once reknown economist as a president? With the shilling falling further n further down, inflation raising and now interest rate going up, I am lost for words as to what is going on in Kenya. Only the pirates, politicians and drug baron are not feeling the pinch.
@karuitha When we destroyed the backbone of our economy, agriculture and became more of importers than exporters, this is the result, and we are yet to see the worst until those in charge of making policies revert back to what is important to the country as a whole rather than making individuals rich through importation of cheap wheat,sugar,maize etc.
@merkeju I always wonder why we have to import maize from Malawi yet in farms across kenya farmers are having to watch their produce rot in the granaries for lack of market, we import sugar yet we have produce enough in Western Kenya, we import rice yet in Mwea farmers are giving up cos of lack of market, we import wheat despite us producing plenty of it in the RV. what the hell is going on?
@karuitha the last time kibz alishika an economics book was 30years ago.he was a graduate of LSE, one of the worst uniz in britain and we dont know of any research that he did as a student there.do you know how many economic theories have come through since he left university?his economics prowess is severely overrated
