This was awesome! Just a whiteboy showin some love.I see 1 dislike up in here. All i thought was, obviously somebody cant handle the truth.Glendon..your a real dude. Ive seen multiple videos and there has not been a day that i heard some bs. Thank you !
You are right, The American dream is alive. The problem is lazy people who think they are owed something. I talk to alot of young people 16-30 who have been taught that rich people are evil and bad. They honestly think those who have had success should be punished for it. One kid thinks there should be a limit on how much a person should be allowed to make. It's crazy, these kids are being brainwashed into socialist thinking. They look to government to take care of them.
@joeysixtysix - I have seen that mindset in auction and it is scary! Making money is not bad, there are some bad ways to make money ( Madoff) but most folks with a fortune busted their asses to get it. We are all in charge of out destiny and many of us simply do not get it!
@ConsumerOfNothing - here in Atlanta there is a whole floor of immigrants at the Apparel Mart they sell diamonds, gold and silver and high end jewelry I noticed this my first time there in 2000 one of my good friends there is Armenian they have a network like you would not believe!
I AGREE 100% GLENDON. Opportunity is EVERYWHERE!!!
You dont hear any rich people complaining over the "recession"! Why? Because prices are low and they are buying everything up quietly. There is deals to be made and money to make now but you got to be patient for the payoff, which the wealthy know and are loving right now
@MakingMovesMajor = there is even more opportunity coming! It funny way back in the day ( 400 years ago) everyone was damn near self employed and it was a different kinda of country
thats true brotha i volunteered at an elementary school for 5 years and the foreign kids made straight A compared to the american kids. they learned from their parents work ethic and most of the foreign parents were gardeners. Also thats why most foreigners have their own business like dry cleaning or look at gas stations they are all owned or run by foreingers. no one wants to sit all day in a store and not get paid enought to get a bentley
@brollicon -they are expected to do well and are given all the tools they need to succeed. It makes a difference and like you said many of their parents are not millionaires so it is not even about the money. It is sad we use to be like that...
Dude I spent this evening setting up a network for a friends store. Got home and took pictures for ebay while watching tv with my girl. It's 1 am and I just finished listing about 15 items tonight. Yeah the economy sucks right now but I got my ass in gear and work harder and harder. If you cannot hustle right now you are gonna fail.
If you look to the videos available on the right side of the page, you will see a video of George Carlin explaining the American Dream. Watch that video and you will understand the reality of the world we live in. LOL
the problem with people, is making money is changing. I'm in college and I can't just go to work and find a job. I'm trying to go abroad to get some international experience.
@blueiguy1 -it is a a ugly catch 22 you need experience to get a job, but you need a job to get experience ( maybe build you own business in the field you want a job in, people will try to hire you all of the time!)
Professor Glendon: The american dream never died!! In the great depression more millionaires were created than ever before and the entrepreneurs of that time didn't have the tools that most americans have at their disposal today(computer technology ,highly educated workforce, internet access, global economy, large consumer market ).There are too many tools available compared to the 1930's!!!!
@DIGITAL3ERO - I was using the report figures, but we both agree is it substantially higher than folks want to admit. Even more of a reason to take control of your destiny!
