  • @sony5242 Hi you need to send me an alternative email address for the tab because your you-tube email doesn't support attatchments.

    Regards

    Ray

  • Wow, it is too fast, isn't it?

  • yup liked that mate, very good. Nice feeling

  • great,well done,your version is perfect! 5Stars!!!

  • @interesst66 many thanks

  • fabulous :-)

  • It seems that you have to be at a certain age to be able to play this song ^^ still can't play it that nice

  • Endlich mal jemand, der das Theme in angemessener Geschwindigkeit spielt!!

  • In English: Finally someone, who played this song in the right tempo!

  • @TheMasterAchim thank you for the translation

in deutsch: danke für die übersetzung xD

  • Watching "The Third Man" just now, was thinking on how to work this out on guitar - now you've made me feel obsolete! What a great rendition. Chapeau!

  • I thank you kindly.

  • Amazing.

  • Brilliant. Love your version.

  • Thank you sir.

    Regards

    Ray

  • Outstanding. Well done. From Australia

  • Absolutely gorgeous. Loved the harmonics at the end.

  • another brilliant, different version of a fantastic melody, thanks for posting!!

  • BTW I bookmarked this page... one of my farorite tunes!...

  • yeah that's great

  • great job ... well done ... wish i had the skill .

  • Superb rendition ! - Bravo !!!

  • that's regular tuning, right?

    thanks

  • Yes and played in the key of A.

  • Where can I get the tab?

  • I ask, because this is the most complete version on Youtube so far. Really good arrangement. My only critique would be that you didn't mute the strings for the bass. But that's just a personal preference.

  • I see now that you have allready answered this question. Thanks anyway!

  • Ray. I just want to tell you again after watching several other's attempts at this song, that yours is by far the best. I continue to get enjoyment out of this performance, and I really appreciate the effort that went into creating it. Thank you!

  • Hi Brad, many thanks, you are so kind.

    Regards

    Ray

  • hi there!

could you send me the tableture of this song? I've downloaded it from the internet, but it is very different then yours.... I like yours more...

    thnx in advance!

  • Sorry mate , I arranged it many years ago from an old piano score and honed it over the years, I don't even have the music anymore.

    Apologies

    Ray

  • you've got the same guitar as I do I think...

    FN10 with outcut or?

    great song btw :D

  • Many thanks, the guitar model is EN 20C.

    Regards

    Ray

  • Brilliant! just Brilliant!

  • Very very nicely done. I loved it. :)

  • I like you work. Great job. Super musicianship.

  • Wow! The little trills are particularly fantastic... great fingerwork on those. A lot of people try to somehow make the guitar sound like a zither with this song, but I feel like you've created a version that stands well as a guitar piece, not a guitar pretending to be another instrument. Cheers.

  • well played, to fast.

  • Excellent !!!

  • In german I would say "VOLL GEIL!!!"

in english maybe "GIGA GREAT!!!" :D

  • KILLER.

  • GREAT !!! One of my favorite versions of this song *****

  • ...großartig gespielt...super...

  • Great playing, and not one bummed note....Phew!

  • Isn't this properly called the "Third Man Theme"?

  • A moot point although released as a single in 1950 as "The Third Man theme", various artists have recorded it as "The Third Man theme", "The Harry Lime theme" and "The Third Man theme[The Harry Lime theme]"

  • Great arrangement!!!

  • TABS by Leo Wijnkamp can be found somewhere maybe for this (he arr. it in 1977) on Kicking Mule. still this rendition is closest to Anton Karas' version I've heard

(making room for Leo in this). Where can one

get a zither like Karas used? (cannot find on eBay either!) Anyhow, KUDOS!

  • Very nice bit of fingerpicking, that must have taken a bit of dedication to learn that one

  • you've done a superb job of arranging this piece.I don't suppose you wrote down any tabs?? I'd really like to learn this but I know it'll take ages watching your fingers..5* matey

  • i have to say , and ive just learned this tune in drop d tuning, but i think your arragement is much better... it flows really well..great playing, was actually a trick piece for me to learn

  • Great song great playing,thanks

  • Wow. Amazing job, good sir! Did you ever transcribe your arrangement?

  • That's great - Thank you to hear it.

  • outstanding technique!

  • Yepp! Best I've ever heard on solo-guitar. May I play it your way next time?

    Your Takamine sounds great. ;-)

    Many greetings from Germany.
