I had a lot of questions myself, and found that Jesus existed and was a great spiritual teacher and master, but the Church took an old mythical story, applied it to his life and created a religion to control the masses and make themselves wealthy as well.
The human mind has main man ASCEND INTO THE SKY(airplanes), WALK ON WATER (ships), HEAL THE SICK (medicine), TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS used by christians and nonchristians. It is the only unique thing the differenciates man from vegetables and from the above evidences, it works.
THE HUMAN MIND ALWAYS USES LOGIC AND PHILOSOPHIES. what then is the boundary for philosophy to remain within God's requirement appart from ACCEPTING WITHOUT QUESTIONING.
IMAGINE A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE ARE BORN WITH NO FEAR OF ETERNAL PUNISHMENT. THIS ACTUALLY MEANS FREEDOM!!!
EVEN DEATH WILL BE A GAME, A REALITY, FULLY ACCEPTED AND WILL NOT BE FEARED!!! DEATH WILL BE THE END OF THE GAME. WOW!!! THERE WILL BE NO 'YOU' TO REGRET WHETHER LIFE WAS LONG OR SHORT, GOOD OR BAD ETC. IT'LL BE PERFECT!!!
WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT? WHAT'S YOUR "primary" MOTIVATION?
1.) INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE("LOVE" for eternal life) or
2.) ESCAPE THE DREADED ETERNAL HELL("FEAR" of hell)?
WHAT REALLY IS THE INHERITED SIN OR SIN OF OUR FOREFATHERS THAT MAKES EACH NEW BORN BABY A SINNER THAT IS GOING TO BURN IN HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY IF HE/SHE DOES/DOES NOT...?
WE DID NOT DETERMINE THE WAY WE WERE BORN OR OUR HUMAN DESIRES, WANTS AND NEEDS. WE WERE BORN WITH THE HUMAN MINDS WE HAVE. YET WE ARE SUPPOSE TO GO AGAINST ALL THESE THINGS WE DID NOT DETERMINE OR PUT THERE. WE SHOULD NOT THINK USING THESE MINDS EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE DONE A LOT IN ADVANCING THE WORLD.WHO THEN GETS PUNISHED?
God makes Himself known to mankind through His creatures, His creation, the universe and so many other ways. But He never takes away doubt if we choose to doubt, He is such a wonderful and loving God that He will let us choose to be lose if that is what we want. Jeremiah 29:13 "And you shall seek Me, and find Me, when you shall search for Me wtih all your heart." Problem is that people don't search, but look for excuses not to believe, & want to live in sin.
He's such a loving and compassionate god that he threatens us with eternal torment for simple apostasy!! What an ego this god must have had. He's seen as a parent figure, a loving father. But my father never threatened to torture me if I chose not to love him. The biblical god was a psychopath, who loved the smell of burnt flesh sacrifices! He ordered the murder of innocent women & children. He approved & advocated slavery, was misogynistic. How can u submit to, and worship a monster?
THESE GUYS ARE JUST SELLING THEIR SILLY BOOKS OR DVDs
ABOUT THIS SUBJECT. There is a 7 part series and at the end they list a bunch of books, of course to sell.
There are various claims about the correlation between the zodiacs and Jesus. But read the Gospels, they are much more broader then such nothions. Furthermore, the Church does not interpret the Gospels these ways.
They are about love, fight the good fight etc. Hence the DVD nonsense-just a SELL.
You people need to use your brains more... Jesus is very real!!!! He died for our sins and he is coming back again soon! Why dont you open up the Bible and read it, thats an idea! Many, many many prophasies have happened and there is NOT ONE ERROR IN THE BIBLE!!!!!!! There is a real heaven and a real hell (for thoses who deny God's son) DONT BE A FOOL, YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU WILL DIE, THEN IT WILL BE TO LATE!!!!!
Jesus claimed he was God, that's why everyone is all hyped up. Kind of silly and it makes you ask why that is? Jesus existed, the census taken in BC 4 records his birth. Luke the historian visited these. There are more greek manuscripts of the gospels than there are of Aristotle's work. But we believe he existed? Many English scholars from Cambridge have tackled this issue and most came in with a bias that he didn't exist, but came out believing other wise. Do your research objectively!
There is one problem about this Jesus myth theory... More Atheist scientists and historians agree that Jesus did, in fact, exist. In fact, Richard Dawkins, the one who tries so hard to refute Christianity even admits Jesus existed, if he didn't he would be laughed out of science academies. The only question they ask is, "Is he actually a god?" and they like to say no. So, please, do yourself a favor, and do a simple wikipedia/google search to find there are no strict parallels in these myths.
@brokeman327 They're refering to the story of jesus existing and being accepted near universally at one point, not the actual physical man Jesus, who was just the latest anthromorph in a long line of sun gods and solar messiahs
@BURGERKINGSOON S. G. F. Brandon and others argue that the very idea that early Christians would consciously incorporate pagan myths into their religion is "intrinsically most improbable,"[99] as evidenced by the strenuous opposition that Paul encountered from other Christians for even his minor concessions to Gentile believers.[
@BURGERKINGSOON Edwyn R. Bevan and Chris Forbes argue that proponents of the theory have even invented elements of pagan myths to support their assertion of parallelism between the life of Jesus and the lives of pagan mythological characters
@BURGERKINGSOON Tryggve Mettinger, former professor of Hebrew bible at Lund Unversity, is one of the academics who supports the "dying and rising gods" construct, but he argues that Jesus does not fit the wider pattern
@BURGERKINGSOON Paula Fredriksen, for example, writes that no serious work places Jesus outside the backdrop of first century Palestinian Judaism.[93] Biblical scholarship also generally rejects the concept of homogenous dying and rising gods, the validity of which is often presupposed by advocates of the Jesus myth theory, such as New Testament scholar Robert Price.
@BURGERKINGSOON The Jesus myth theory has never achieved complete acceptance among biblical scholars.[78] Some of the earliest arguments against the theory included satirical treatments by Richard Whately and Jean-Baptiste Pérès—entitled "Historic Doubts relative to Napoleon Bonaparte" (1819) and "Grand Erratum" (1827)—who argued against the existence of Napoleon, even during the emperor's lifetime.[79] Something i quickly found in wikipedia(althought is not very good source...)
@BURGERKINGSOON Hi, similarity between Jesus and mithological gods is generaly refuted by major scolars. Many argue that this parallels are totaly imaginary. Jesus myth theory is conspiracy theory and it is represented as 100% true. But is very false and debunked by all resanoble historians. It is very sad that this nonsense takes away faith from some good people.
@TheMikeyX But we know that Jesus resurection that is doubted and regarded as imaginary by some was key element for Apostles proclamation of Gospel. Gospels always said" we saw him and ate with him when he was resurected! They were dying becouse of that, they saw resurected Jesus and this was one and only thing why they went everywere to preach him. They were ready to die for that and many did-Jacob, Peter, Paul.. Therefore many historians agree that apostles had to somehow see Jesus afterdeath
@TheMikeyX But the most historical of all are gospels. It is without sense to state that gospels are not historical and not reliable. They are meant to portray historical man from Galilee named Jesus. I am actually a catholic but even atheist scolars agree that gospels contains historical picture of Jesus and they doubt only few things that cannot be proven in scientific way-virgin birth, resurection, some miracles...
@TheMikeyX Hello, asking for credible sources of Jesus existence is not good question. Historians agree that Jesus is very historical person, and that there are plenty of proofs for his existence. First of all 4 gospels and gospel Q which was source for gospel of Mathew and Luke, than episles of Paul which talk abot Jesus last supper, betrayal, crucifiyion, risen Jesus. Paulin epistle were written before gospels. Than historians: Josephus, Tacitus.. than Talmud. and more more.
I'd be interested in knowing if there was any mythological figure asimilar to Jesus character...before 10-12,000 years ago. Anything after that is hog wash to me because the old testament gives light to Jesus coming so many impostors would have been easily created. But if there is please email me the info...thanks...I have my doubts but still trusting in Jesus for now
Sorry. Jesus is a sun god. Vatican is all to do with sun worship. Christianity is fake. No proof of jesus existing as a god. The pope is sucking peoples money right into his own bank. People are misguided but with research into "HISTORICAL FACTS" not new testament bullshit they will uncover a deception that would make any christian angry enough to want to burn their local church down. Just google vatican sun worship as a starter the building(vatican) should be proof enough!!
You believe you are worshipping Jesus the son of god but are actually worshipping jesus the sun god. I used to do the same thing until I copped on to the lie. I thought i was worshipping the wrong jesus especially when I read in the new testament about a man with long hair is a disgrace and the roman catholic jesus has long hair on his cross(which is idol worship). Then an investigation into the historical jesus found that he only existed as a man and the roman catholic church LIED TO US ALL.
@wackydan74 Theres plenty of evidence. Many ancient scholars have written about about him, most of them trying to debunk his miracles as sorcery or parlour tricks, but what these accounts show is that he did perform these miracles. If he hadnt the writers wouldnt have tried so hard to explain them, they would have just said it didnt happen.
@BitingOsprey You sound like me 1 year ago when I began to prove Jesus existence to non believers. Then I found that the evidence for Jesus is very weak at best and that on the back of things god says in the bible(1 Timothy 2. 11-15 or Exodus 35 2) proves he's a moron and that leaves very little to go on except faith. Faith in a male chauvinistic lover of death!!!? No thanks.
What i want to know about you is, Do you believe in jesus being god through historical research into church/religion history or were you born(brainwashed) into it by your parents.
Dude, i was brought up with no mom, and i barely ever saw my alchoholic dad. my sister died, and my uncle was abusive. I found Christ when i was in my early 30's. But do i really need to go over my life story?
@cogofwar11 I am not christian, however If it is real to you, then you must hold to it. The problem I have is not in the existence of Jesus, but rather with Christians forcing their beliefs upon others. If the world would seek out their own salvation with fear and trembling like the bible says, then there would not hate. Instead of "God will send them to Hell!!!' We would say "that is not my cup of tea." And the world would be harmonious if people would stop proclaiming their god superior.
@noXception saying, "you're going to hell!" is not what any right minded christian (that i know) does. that is a steryotype (please excuse my spelling) that athiests and other non-christians have made, unless of course we're talking about the westboro baptist church, who should not be considered christians in any way... now, how i try to teach christianity is by saying, "here are the guidelines and facts about our religion, ask me questions, ect." Now, about forcing religion: next
@cogofwar11 How is the westboro baptist church a church when it is literally run by one man and his followers are his family members? - im just saying, not refuting you or anything
when s child is born into any kind of family, that family will teach them their beliefs (or lack there of) regardless of the circumstances... if a child is born into an athiest home for instance, and the child learnes about religion from anywhere, the parents will tell the child why that family is what the are, whichj in this case, is athiest. It's not FORCED so to speak, it is tought. when the child grows up he/she can be ANYTHING they want, but as for the time, they are what the family is.
it is not brainwashing either, because the child still has a choice, it's not like their, "christian for life" or anything... it's like if a person grows up with a language, they will speak that language until they decide to learn a new one.
@wackydan74 No i dont..........I fell away from Christianity long ago and embraced the occult as the true path to spirituality until i came face to face with demon spirits that had managed to gain access to my life through the things i had practiced..they terrorized me until, realising how foolish i had been i repented and became a Christian again. That did not stop them. Jesus personally intervened (and i saw him) to make them leave me alone......Its not even about faith for me, i know its true
@archetype149 Who cares mate its all fake anyway. Its like arguing over which chair on the Titanic is the most comfortable. But then again the Titanic was real!
@archetype149 I believed all the crap. In reality it makes no sence logically or physically only through faith can one believe. Faith is not proof. The god spoken of in the bible is a male chauvinistic, primitive moron. But it is not a god that is stupid and contradicting it is the arsehole men that created this rubbish book to control gullible people like you (if you believe) for their own gain and are still reaping the rewards.
@wackydan74 You are brilliant! I used to be a christian and like you discovered the same truth, Jesus is a bad copy of a bad copy. Keep up the good work!.
Im just saying if my goal was to get back at god why not turn the things he loves most agenst him.. and how do we do that? you take a man or a women and just sway him or her to lust not love. war not peace. dought not belief. greed not giving. look at our world now from were it was 100 years ago. things are getting worse. why? more and more people are losing or discarding any chance of faith beond there eyes sight. I believe in Jesus. only if all of us were willing to die for each other
----{--@ hears a rose for all the dead souls out their. Hears somthing you may not have thought of in your jesus bashing.
even though the old testament is not known to be the oldest religon in history it does however speek of the very creation of time. so it draws back to the beginning. question #1 were did Satan slither off to after he had deceived man and women in edan? anyone?? well guess what all those religons and pagenisms like ises ra anubis babalon . all created by.. you answer
The Myth Of Jesus is fairly easy to debunk....video doesn't seem to take advantage of this.....
Oedipus was a play written by Sophocles...not a "myth"...
You can do better, sweetie. See me after class.
The Horus comparisons really aren't even needed. You just need to point out the utter lack of believable historical records. There are tons of figures who have been dismissed as non existent that had more "documentation" than Our Lord and Savior.
the jesus tale is also a mythical (passion) play written by those who wrote or contributed to it. Oedipus "was a mythical Greek king of Thebes. He fulfilled a prophecy that said he would kill his father and marry his mother, and thus brought disaster on his city and family." An actual grave was created at which people worshipped him as a savior god of Thebes. The "slaughter of the innocents" comes in where the king tries to kill him before he can fulfill propehcy. Sound familiar?
This video is terrible. It doesn't back up anything, it just gives a few quick reasons why Jesus may have been a myth. Is it just an ad, or is it actually supposed to make Christians drop their faith?
Yes this video is just a bunch of bullshit. The truth is very few scholars see anything close to the NT stories and the myths these videos present. Also skeptical scholars and historians are almost in 100 percent agreement that Jesus was born on earth in the fall of 4 BCE and was put to death by Pilate around 30 CE. The pagan side of the Christian faith was hundreds of years later after Constantine became a Christian. Then did Sunday become a holy day in the church and Dec 25 was adopted.
You mean those dragons, fire breathing sea monsters, cherybims, winged angels, talking mules, talking snakes, and unicorns in the bible aren't real? Darn, you just burst my bubble. Soon you'll be telling me Santa Claus isn't real.
a fanatical ex-fariseus, a certain Shaul of Tarsus, did one person of both historical fellows, changed the real facts and...christian religion was born!
Many "alternative" authors in Italy, tell us that Jesus from Sepphoris, great gnostic Master, tried to introduce in Israel an initiatic, universal cult that he learned in Egypt, and for this reason was processed for witchcraft, but DIDN'T DIE on the cross, not him! but one of his relatives: John the zaelot, boss of a band of rebellious people, self-showing as king of Israel and son of Judas galileus that romans killed time before...then...
I was Christian for all my life till recently, i asked myself, "Why do I believe; what i believe?" I came the conclusion, "because that's what i was told to believe." so i examined a bunch of things concerning the Bible, God, Jesus, the Trinity. I believe the Bible was a tactic used to control the people. What better way to control people than saying they'll burn forever if they sin, or they'll become a pillar of salt, or be swallowed by the earth.
Religion can be used to control people, It can also be used to examine your own life and your decisions, to make a better life for yourself and others.
The problem is, most people join religions to be "saved", yet they continue to behave in the same negative and hurtful ways they always have.
@GrassH0pper55 You might be right about that! But you are too young to come to such 'definite' conclusions. Like you 'were told to believe' maybe now, you were told NOT to believe. When you get your own mind and heart, I'm sure you will come to the conclusion that was meant for you, good or bad! Good luck! Incidently, a person your age should be out having fun, not wasting your time on video's like this. Keep your eyes open, it will all be understandable to you shortly!
Even the bible says jesus never existed. Galatians 4:1-5 says that Abraham and his wives NEVER EXISTED and its all allegory/symbolic. If there was no abraham there was no jesus who supposedly is descended from abraham
the bible is full of such contradictions. St. Paul (Galatians) said the tale of Abraham and his wives was an allegory about the division of Jerusalem. Yet the "Prophet" Mohammed treated it as real, and the "wives" story is the basis for the creation of Islam, that Abraham's son by his maid should have taken prominence as the "first-born" over the son by his wife. A lot of Xtians especially the fundies don't realize that the OT is the basis for all three religions (Xtianity, Islam, Judaism)
also, Isreali archeologists are declaring that Abraham and Moses never existed. This is also reflected in the most recent edition of the Encyclopedia Judaica. Digs show that Jerusalem was actually a modest highland village in the time of Solomon and David. Solomon's temple has never been found, aside from various hoaxes. It's also highly improbably that Herodotus would have missed something as grand as Solomon's temple if it had existed during his travels in the middle east
"digs show that jerusalem was actually a modest highland village in the time of solomon and david"
Of course that assumes there was a
solomon" and a "david". lol! I dont assume that. In fact I assume they NEVER EXISTED just as abraham never existed. ANd "solomons temple" NEVER EXISTED either. It is said to have been constructed in the exact site that the Islamic DOMe of the ROCK is built on. How convenient huh? THe "temple" is actually a perversion of the TEMPLE OF AMEN-RA in egypt
Galatians 4:1-5 1What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. 4But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.
i meant to say galatains 4:22-24 NOt galatians 4-15. Again thats galatians 4:22-24 that clearly states that the STORY of abraham along with sarah and hagar is an ALLEGORY. It is SYMBOLIC. They are NOT historical people.
You may want to check your Greek text on this one. It is quite clear that this MAY be taken symbolically. You can take any number of actual stories and learn something symbolically from them.
see the book The Bible Unearthed co-authored by Israel Finkelstein, director of Tel Aviv University's excavations at Megiddo (ancient Armageddon). there is no evidence for the existence of Abraham, or any of the Patriarchs, Moses or the Exodus; the same goes for the whole period of Judges and the united monarchy of David and Solomon. it is impossible to say much of ancient Israel until the seventh century B.C., around the time of the reign of King Josiah.
also from The Bible Unearthed (co-written by an Israeli archaeologist!) "we still have no hard archaeological evidence--despite the unparalleled biblical description of its grandeur--that Jerusalem was anything more than a modest highland village in the time of David, Solomon, and Rehoboam." The existence of Abraham and Moses is also now contested in the current edition of the Biblica Judaica
Josephus, the Roman historians and officials, the jewish writings, the letters of Paul and the apostolic fathers all wrote about Jesus outside the Bible.
Josephus is not credible, but the point is that we have no evidence that the people who wrote about JC ever knew him but more importantly, how do U validate such writings?? And how do we know the authors existed.
We know that the bible scholars have no idea who wrote the Gospels of M,M,L, or John!!
The fact is, the NT could have been fabricated by the early church, as some think.
There R no original texts for any of the NT books...none.
This is interesting but is very thin on facts. I am interested because I want to know if Jesus did exist. If he didn't exist then who was it that said all those wise words that are attributed to him. I find so much truth in what Jesus said. If it wasn't Jesus who said it then who was it?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Its funny how much atheists study religion just to try and disprove it, when their existence only proves many of the scriptures to be true. Its just a fad, and a fashion statement. If you don't believe, than don't believe, but why don't you leave our religions alone. stop attacking us. This is just attention seeking behavior. Look at how much atheism has done for the world: ...............? (oh nothing, thats right, just angering people)
If you say so, I suppose we should take the theist approach and practice apathy. Atheism has done plenty for our species. It supposes God explains nothing and then works to discover how things work naturally, i.e. in nature..
@dichotomyofone - wrong, atheism does not do that. What u are describing is CURIOSITY - and neither atheists nor theists have ownership over that. There are athiests who have no interest in finding out about the world and there are thiests who very much want to seek to know God by looking and observing nature. Theism does not create apathy
@savioblanc Atheism does it often enough to suppose it a likely attribute. You can't seek to know god by observing nature becaue there is no god to know. Theism is the dillusion that there is a god and that god has a relationship with this universe (and that this god is the god of their religion). This is of course a completely ignorant way to view the world and nature thus theism is a force for apathy.
@dichotomyofone - u r definitely not talkin bout theism as understood from the Christian West. Ure explaination is more relatable to the Hindu concept. The Hindus were on the forefront of science thousands of yrs ago yet failed to go forward bcos they had a concept in their faith called Maya - meaning illusion - and that everything is illusion. If everything was illusion, then there was no need to know or understnd the universe. it was what it was and what it ever will
@savioblanc I certainly am speaking about western theism. The theism that says for everything we don't know or don't understand god can be used as a satisfactory answer, which it is not. Theism supposes that god is at work in the universe, that god is the creator, which he is not. Christian theism has softened its world view by abandoning the bible and redefining the religion as they see fit, in only this way have they ever been able to avoid absolute scientific apathy.
@dichotomyofone -well i'll be honest i'm crap at answering you in detail so i'm gonna tell you to go on to this page and have a read - bede.org.uk - have a read through the website. it pretty much explains in detail what i was tryin to say as to why modern science sprung out from Christian Western Europe and how "Christian theism" just cannot create apathy for the curious soul
@savioblanc By this logic we may as well credit white people. Science happened and theism fought against it until it realized its power. If science contradicts specific "revelation" then it is considered dangerous. At this point in our history the only place people use god to explain something instead of science is cosmology and evolution, though in both cases the god is unnecessary. Stop crediting groups of people for things they don't deserve credit for.
@dichotomyofone By this logic we may as well credit white people. - why would i be crediting white people? The Catholic Church included people of different races. The inventors, scientists and those who worked on different scientific thoughts included people of differnt races and ethnicities. The Church itself learnt from them all.
@dichotomyofone If science contradicts specific "revelation" then it is considered dangerous - this is exactly y i said u have not been talking about the Catholic Church and of Christianity in general and are confusing religion with all or any kind of religion. I might as well say athiesm leads to gulags and genocide on account of the atheist Soviets and u can rightly laugh me off at my foolish words, for they are foolish. Stop branding religion in the way idiot religios nutheads brand atheism
@dichotomyofone - and so i reiterate - read the link first before ranting about science contradicting revelation and how the church has always dealt with that. Its sad that people like you will, whenever science and religion is discussed, cant seem to get out of the "remember Galileo" bullshit. I bet your the kind of person who still believes the enlightenment myth that people in the Middle Ages (oh wait, it should be the Dark Ages right?) believed the earth was flat?
No no! If they discovered Jesus wouldn't it be on the news? Huge merchandise! Christianity ruling the world like the dark ages and the crusades. If they discovered that Jesus was real..I would know about it!
but do I? No I do not...so he wasn't proven to of existed
its not on the news because his existence has been known since his birth. Jesus has really lived, but u dont WANT to know that it is true. That's why you dont know about it.
But that would not mean that Christany would rule the total world, because christians claim that he was the son of God. Mankind will never find material evidence for Jesus Christ, the son of God, but Jesus did truly exist.
but then again you need faith to beleive in that Jesus existed, I could have faith that Star Wars was a true event and that the story of Anakin Skywalker was real.
yes, you are right, you need to have some faith to believe anything what happened in history.
So you need to have faith to believe in Jesus' existence as well, but Jesus is an historical person too, just like Carl the Great or your greatgrandfather.
You can disclaim anything you want, you can disclaim Jesus existence as well if you like, but keep in mind that Jesus' existence has been proved!
Jesus is A historical figure ??? Get your head out of your priest's ass and do some research before spewing this bullshit !!!!! No reliable historian has ever, EVER, authenticated the historicity of Jesus !!!!!! You're a bimbo !!!!!!!!!!
Not only the Bible and Quran confirm Jesus'existence, many historians (theists and atheists) confirm his existence as well. Many Roman writers confirm his existence too.
Uhh, the Quran is a blatant plagiarism of the torah, old testament and new testament, and no atheist has ever said that jesus has existed !!!!!! BTW, only one roman secular writer has been known to write about christ, 60 years after his so called death and reseruction !!! You are complete ignoramus. I hope you die, and please, for the sake of humanity, DON't BREED !!!!!!!!
Oedipus? What the hell? You're weakening the argument for you credible claim by spewing this bullshit. People will think all those who claim Jesus never existed don't check our sources. Another Zeitgeist.
The God of Abraham is worshipped by both the Jews, and the Muslims, and the Christians. Please tell me you understand this BASIC concept of the Abrahamaic religion or else go back to school. Since they share the SAME God, it follows that Jesus is the SAME God.
Allah in Islam literally means "God". It's NOT the name of the God of Islam. But Allah IS the God of Abraham, known as Yahweh by name. ALLAH AND YAHWEH ARE THE EXACT SAME GOD, SO IS JESUS.
All you sinners fail to see the love of Allah=Jesus=Yahweh=Holy Spirit.
Did you know that in 1971 a plane crashed over a mountain in Chile and 173 people died, but 1 baby survived.
Can't you see the miracle and work of the love of God saving the baby's life? How blind can you be to that? Without our loving lord, the baby would have died. Truly a holy miracle indeed proof that God's love is eternal.
you are SOOOO stupid LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL if allah was equal to everyother god then muslims would'nt be killing jews not would they?? and vice versa
Jesus is an incarnation of Allah, and Allah is an incarnation of Yahweh, and Yahweh is an incarnation of the holy spirit. That is the HOLY QUADRINITY. Go read some theology books before you make yourself out to be a BIGGER FOOL than what you already are.
They are all the God of the desert that appeared before Abraham. Do you have education in anything?
they are killing each other over ownership of the holy land. And ever since the USA starting siding with the Jews because they own half of New York, then Islam started attacking the US as well because they stuck their nose into their game.
According to your logic, then why did Hitler kill the Jews? Hitler believed in God, the same God the Jews believed in. Hitler invoked God and Jesus before every major speech he gave to the nation. Go look at the film archives and learn something.
You can believe in the same God and still kill people you FOOL.
Well, we Christians believe that Allah, Yahweh, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is the creator and can do whatever he wishes to us because we are ALL sinners. We are all born as very bad people with infinite sin. When we need to be punished, God will come and punish us however he likes. We are his creation and we cannot question what he does to us.
do whatever he wishes to us because we are ALL sinners. We are all born as very bad people with infinite sin"
We aren't born sinners. That's a crock.
No, i don't think it's cool that God bashes babies against rocks and rips babies out of the womb of pregnant women because he's pissed that they don't want to believe in him.
It's savage.
And it's not alright. And God doesn't make it alright.
Well, that's what the Bible says, so i must be right. And everybody in America believes it, including the President, so it must be right. How can all these people be wrong, including the President of the United States, and only you are right?
If all this stuff in the Bible is false, then how can we possibly live these false lives where everything we learned about our Lord Allah, Yahweh and Jesus, to be all lies? Our money says "In God we trust". It has to there for a reason, right? If we cannot trust what we are told in our country, then who can we trust?
Actually, "In God We Trust" wasn't printed on money until the fifties, during the cold war. It was put there as propaganda against the 'godless communists'.
About 23% of America ( one fifth) doesnt believe in Christ, and over 16% are Atheist or Agnostic. Besides, you have no idea what the President really believes, because he's a politician. It's his job to be popular, so of course he's going to say he's part of the same religion as 3/4 of the country.
Please, the president of the US HAS TO say he believes in God or Jesus, or he will never win an election, because that's the way it is there. And in all honesty, if you believe that everything the bible says is right, then you are in sorry shape... but whatever floats your sorry boat.
They are all ONE and the SAME. Think of it like an egg. You have the shell which is Allah. The whites which is Yahweh. The yolk which is Jesus and the chalaza which is the Holy Spirit.
The next time you eat an egg, you better think about this!
Yahweh was originally part of the Israelite pantheon (war god) and his consort was the goddess Asherah. After the Babylonian captivity the Levite priesthood began to worship Yahweh alone and by 150 BC the southern Judaists conquered the northern Israelites. those conquered were the later creators of Jesus (largely Samaritans). The NT (Ep to Heb) ascribes Jesus to the priestly line of Melchizedek which is also the priestly line of the pantheon that existed before Judah conquered Israel
How can you say Jesus didn't exist by looking at only four gospels that were translated and edited by the Catholic Church, and ignore the hundreds of gospels that were banned from the Bible? Moreover, we don't even know if the Catholic church took all the evidence of jesus and hide it very well. Why I say this? Because the Catholic church controlled Rome, and does anyone remember about the crusades? I do. I better to say, we don't know if Jesus existed. He might had, or maybe not.
The thing is, this clip doesn't show that much evidence either. Saying "The Dead Sea Scrolls do not confirm any established movement called Christianity" is just a statement they don't do anything to back it up.
". . . the apparent presence of a redactional seam, a tellltale sign of a copyist stitching in new material. Often an interpolation may be detected by parallel opening and closing sentences. This results from copyist having to re-create the peg from which the continuation of the original narrative first hung. In this case, the passage begins with the words, 'Now, some of the Jews thought that the destruction of Herod's army came from God, and that very justly as a punishment'"
"'of what he did against John.' I am suggesting that this passage is the interpolator's paraphrase of the closing words of the passage: 'Now, the Jews had an opinion that the destruction of this army was sent as a punishment upon Herod, as a mark of God's displeasure against him.' The latter version would have been the original, speaking of Herod's general impiety, the former being the paraphrase that introduces John the Baptist by name, making the military defeat. . . ."
He does not have one, of course, else it would be widely known. The only thing is that Paul--in a legitimate letter--meets his brother in Jerusalem, and they do not get along at all. "If brother a person to be brother to" but that tell us nothing about what the Historical Junior may have said or done.
Of what value would my arguments be? Can you be convinced of anything that doesn't affirm your belief? My evidence is admittedly circumstantial, which is good enough in a court of law, so it's good enough for me. None of us were there, so no one knows the truth, but what really nails it for me (no pun intended) was the number of people martyred for Christ, who wouldn't deny him because they had seen him first hand. Either he was who he said he was, or he was the worlds most convincing liar.
I'll present my argument when you present yours. Standing up strawmen just to knock them down is not arguing, it's just typical atheist self-affirmation.
Was Albert Einstein stupid? Albert Einstein wrote in his book "The World As I See It" that the harmony of natural law "Reveals an INTELLIGENCE OF SUCH SUPERIORITY that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection." (caps for effect only)
Einstein went on to write, "Everyone who is SERIOUSLY involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a SPIRIT IS MANIFEST in the laws of the Universe--a SPIRIT VASTLY SUPERIOR TO THAT OF MAN, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel
humble." (caps for effect only, he wasn't yelling, nor am I) So I ask again, was Einstein stupid, or has science in disregarding possibility without exploring it willfully killed God, not that God never existed in the first place?
That is argument to authority, and Einstein did not really believe in a god you would agree with.
Einstein also had really odd ideas about counting with a violin and was wrong about quantum mechanics.
He is also known to have been wrong about the In Field Fly Rule.

Dishonesty? This video is a revelation of dishonesty, and your argument is the lpse dixit you accuse me of. Evidence doesn't matter to you people, you are only interested in that which affirms your claims, and dismiss everything else as fairy tails or inaccuracy. Let me ask you this, what "evidence" would satisfy you? I look forward to your response, although I know it will be the same canned nonsense parroted from every other atheist I've ever met. I'll hold my breath as I wait...
I had a lot of questions myself, and found that Jesus existed and was a great spiritual teacher and master, but the Church took an old mythical story, applied it to his life and created a religion to control the masses and make themselves wealthy as well.

There are various claims about the correlation between the zodiacs and Jesus. But read the Gospels, they are much more broader then such nothions. Furthermore, the Church does not interpret the Gospels these ways.
They are about love, fight the good fight etc. Hence the DVD nonsense-just a SELL.

Klemenovsky 1 year ago
@BURGERKINGSOON Edwyn R. Bevan and Chris Forbes argue that proponents of the theory have even invented elements of pagan myths to support their assertion of parallelism between the life of Jesus and the lives of pagan mythological characters

Klemenovsky 1 year ago
@BURGERKINGSOON The Jesus myth theory has never achieved complete acceptance among biblical scholars.[78] Some of the earliest arguments against the theory included satirical treatments by Richard Whately and Jean-Baptiste Pérès—entitled "Historic Doubts relative to Napoleon Bonaparte" (1819) and "Grand Erratum" (1827)—who argued against the existence of Napoleon, even during the emperor's lifetime.[79] Something i quickly found in wikipedia(althought is not very good source...)
Klemenovsky 1 year ago
@BURGERKINGSOON Hi, similarity between Jesus and mithological gods is generaly refuted by major scolars. Many argue that this parallels are totaly imaginary. Jesus myth theory is conspiracy theory and it is represented as 100% true. But is very false and debunked by all resanoble historians. It is very sad that this nonsense takes away faith from some good people.
Klemenovsky 1 year ago
@TheMikeyX But we know that Jesus resurection that is doubted and regarded as imaginary by some was key element for Apostles proclamation of Gospel. Gospels always said" we saw him and ate with him when he was resurected! They were dying becouse of that, they saw resurected Jesus and this was one and only thing why they went everywere to preach him. They were ready to die for that and many did-Jacob, Peter, Paul.. Therefore many historians agree that apostles had to somehow see Jesus afterdeath
Klemenovsky 1 year ago
@TheMikeyX But the most historical of all are gospels. It is without sense to state that gospels are not historical and not reliable. They are meant to portray historical man from Galilee named Jesus. I am actually a catholic but even atheist scolars agree that gospels contains historical picture of Jesus and they doubt only few things that cannot be proven in scientific way-virgin birth, resurection, some miracles...
Klemenovsky 1 year ago
@TheMikeyX Hello, asking for credible sources of Jesus existence is not good question. Historians agree that Jesus is very historical person, and that there are plenty of proofs for his existence. First of all 4 gospels and gospel Q which was source for gospel of Mathew and Luke, than episles of Paul which talk abot Jesus last supper, betrayal, crucifiyion, risen Jesus. Paulin epistle were written before gospels. Than historians: Josephus, Tacitus.. than Talmud. and more more.

Then an investigation into the historical jesus found that he only existed as a man and the roman catholic church LIED TO US ALL.
wackydan74 1 year ago
@wackydan74 Theres plenty of evidence. Many ancient scholars have written about about him, most of them trying to debunk his miracles as sorcery or parlour tricks, but what these accounts show is that he did perform these miracles. Faith in a male chauvinistic lover of death!!!? No thanks.

cogofwar11 1 year ago
@cogofwar11 I am not christian, however If it is real to you, then you must hold to it. The problem I have is not in the existence of Jesus, but rather with Christians forcing their beliefs upon others. If the world would seek out their own salvation with fear and trembling like the bible says, then there would not hate. Instead of "God will send them to Hell!!!' We would say "that is not my cup of tea." And the world would be harmonious if people would stop proclaiming their god superior.

@noXception saying, "you're going to hell!" is not what any right minded christian (that i know) does. that is a steryotype (please excuse my spelling) that athiests and other non-christians have made, unless of course we're talking about the westboro baptist church, who should not be considered christians in any way... now, how i try to teach christianity is by saying, "here are the guidelines and facts about our religion, ask me questions, ect." when s child is born into any kind of family, that family will teach them their beliefs (or lack there of) regardless of the circumstances... if a child is born into an athiest home for instance, and the child learnes about religion from anywhere, the parents will tell the child why that family is what the are, whichj in this case, is athiest. It's not FORCED so to speak, it is tought. when the child grows up he/she can be ANYTHING they want, but as for the time, they are what the family is.
cogofwar11 1 year ago
it is not brainwashing either, because the child still has a choice, it's not like their, "christian for life" or anything... it's like if a person grows up with a language, they will speak that language until they decide to learn a new one.

the jesus tale is also a mythical (passion) play written by those who wrote or contributed to it. Sound familiar?

dellclown 2 years ago
Yes this video is just a bunch of bullshit. The truth is very few scholars see anything close to the NT stories and the myths these videos present. Also skeptical scholars and historians are almost in 100 percent agreement that Jesus was born on earth in the fall of 4 BCE and was put to death by Pilate around 30 CE. The pagan side of the Christian faith was hundreds of years later after Constantine became a Christian. Then did Sunday become a holy day in the church and Dec 25 was adopted.

Godgenes 2 years ago
the bible is full of such contradictions. A lot of Xtians especially the fundies don't realize that the OT is the basis for all three religions (Xtianity, Islam, Judaism)
arealmyztery2 2 years ago
also, Isreali archeologists are declaring that Abraham and Moses never existed.

Galatians 4:1-5 1What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. 4But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.

see the book The Bible Unearthed co-authored by Israel Finkelstein, director of Tel Aviv University's excavations at Megiddo (ancient Armageddon). there is no evidence for the existence of Abraham, or any of the Patriarchs, Moses or the Exodus; the same goes for the whole period of Judges and the united monarchy of David and Solomon. it is impossible to say much of ancient Israel until the seventh century B.C., around the time of the reign of King Josiah.

also from The Bible Unearthed (co-written by an Israeli archaeologist!) We know that the bible scholars have no idea who wrote the Gospels of M,M,L, or John!!
The fact is, the NT could have been fabricated by the early church, as some think.

(oh nothing, thats right, just angering people)
AmericanMuslim1 2 years ago
If you say so, I suppose we should take the theist approach and practice apathy. Atheism has done plenty for our species. It supposes God explains nothing and then works to discover how things work naturally, i.e. in nature..
dichotomyofone 2 years ago 10
@dichotomyofone - wrong, atheism does not do that. What u are describing is CURIOSITY - and neither atheists nor theists have ownership over that. There are athiests who have no interest in finding out about the world and there are thiests who very much want to seek to know God by looking and observing nature. Theism does not create apathy
savioblanc 1 year ago
@savioblanc Atheism does it often enough to suppose it a likely attribute. You can't seek to know god by observing nature becaue there is no god to know. Theism is the dillusion that there is a god and that god has a relationship with this universe (and that this god is the god of their religion). This is of course a completely ignorant way to view the world and nature thus theism is a force for apathy.
dichotomyofone 1 year ago
@dichotomyofone - u r definitely not talkin bout theism as understood from the Christian West. Ure explaination is more relatable to the Hindu concept. The Hindus were on the forefront of science thousands of yrs ago yet failed to go forward bcos they had a concept in their faith called Maya - meaning illusion - and that everything is illusion. If everything was illusion, then there was no need to know or understnd the universe. it was what it was and what it ever will
savioblanc 1 year ago
@savioblanc I certainly am speaking about western theism. The theism that says for everything we don't know or don't understand god can be used as a satisfactory answer, which it is not. Theism supposes that god is at work in the universe, that god is the creator, which he is not. Christian theism has softened its world view by abandoning the bible and redefining the religion as they see fit, in only this way have they ever been able to avoid absolute scientific apathy.
dichotomyofone 1 year ago
@dichotomyofone -well i'll be honest i'm crap at answering you in detail so i'm gonna tell you to go on to this page and have a read - bede.org.uk - have a read through the website. it pretty much explains in detail what i was tryin to say as to why modern science sprung out from Christian Western Europe and how "Christian theism" just cannot create apathy for the curious soul
savioblanc 1 year ago
@savioblanc By this logic we may as well credit white people. Science happened and theism fought against it until it realized its power. If science contradicts specific "revelation" then it is considered dangerous. At this point in our history the only place people use god to explain something instead of science is cosmology and evolution, though in both cases the god is unnecessary. Stop crediting groups of people for things they don't deserve credit for.
dichotomyofone 1 year ago
@dichotomyofone By this logic we may as well credit white people. - why would i be crediting white people? The Catholic Church included people of different races. The inventors, scientists and those who worked on different scientific thoughts included people of differnt races and ethnicities. The Church itself learnt from them all.
savioblanc 1 year ago
@dichotomyofone If science contradicts specific "revelation" then it is considered dangerous - this is exactly y i said u have not been talking about the Catholic Church and of Christianity in general and are confusing religion with all or any kind of religion. I might as well say athiesm leads to gulags and genocide on account of the atheist Soviets and u can rightly laugh me off at my foolish words, for they are foolish. Stop branding religion in the way idiot religios nutheads brand atheism
savioblanc 1 year ago
@dichotomyofone - and so i reiterate - read the link first before ranting about science contradicting revelation and how the church has always dealt with that. Its sad that people like you will, whenever science and religion is discussed, cant seem to get out of the "remember Galileo" bullshit. I bet your the kind of person who still believes the enlightenment myth that people in the Middle Ages (oh wait, it should be the Dark Ages right?) believed the earth was flat?

Jesus truly exists, thats proved.
but is he/He the son of God?
LeveLageLanden 2 years ago
lol when was Jesus ever proven to exist?
Wouldn't that be a huge thing? Why have I never heard of this?
Tighen31305 2 years ago
But it's not sure if he's the son of God and if he did all those miracles. How do you mean, a huge thing?
I dunno why you never heard about this, so dont ask me.
LeveLageLanden 2 years ago
No no! If they discovered Jesus wouldn't it be on the news? Huge merchandise! Christianity ruling the world like the dark ages and the crusades. If they discovered that Jesus was real..I would know about it!
but do I? No I do not...so he wasn't proven to of existed
Tighen31305 2 years ago
its not on the news because his existence has been known since his birth.
LeveLageLanden 2 years ago
but then again you need faith to beleive in that Jesus existed, I could have faith that Star Wars was a true event and that the story of Anakin Skywalker was real.
you can't disclaim me that it didn't happen!
Tighen31305 2 years ago
yes, you are right, you need to have some faith to believe anything what happened in history.
LeveLageLanden 2 years ago 2
Jesus is A historical figure ??? Get your head out of your priest's ass and do some research before spewing this bullshit !!!!! No reliable historian has ever, EVER, authenticated the historicity of Jesus !!!!!! You're a bimbo !!!!!!!!!!
akamola 2 years ago
I did do research.
Not only the Bible and Quran confirm Jesus'existence, many historians (theists and atheists) confirm his existence as well. Many Roman writers confirm his existence too.
LeveLageLanden 2 years ago

Therefore, the Holy Quadrinity is:
Jesus = Allah = Yahweh = The Holy Spirit.....QED!
fatfist 2 years ago
Allah in Islam literally means "God". It's NOT the name of the God of Islam. But Allah IS the God of Abraham, known as Yahweh by name. ALLAH AND YAHWEH ARE THE EXACT SAME GOD, SO IS JESUS.
fatfist 2 years ago
stupidity why would people kill eachother over a fuckin piece of dirt hahahaha. if they are all the exact same then they woudlnt be fighting
LacedChucks 2 years ago
dont ask me why they fight. Catholic people and protestant people believe both in God as well, and they once were in war with each other.
Fatfist is right: Allah is God is Jaweh, Ibrahim is Abraham, Jesus is Isa, and so on.
LeveLageLanden 2 years ago
All you sinners fail to see the love of Allah=Jesus=Yahweh=Holy Spirit.
Did you know that in 1971 a plane crashed over a mountain in Chile and 173 people died, but 1 baby survived.
Can't you see the miracle and work of the love of God saving the baby's life? How blind can you be to that? Without our loving lord, the baby would have died. Truly a holy miracle indeed proof that God's love is eternal.
God bless.

Do you have education in anything?

then why they killing eachother lol
LacedChucks 2 years ago
they are killing each other over ownership of the holy land. And ever since the USA starting siding with the Jews because they own half of New York, then Islam started attacking the US as well because they stuck their nose into their game.

people kill eachother over their own interpretation of what they're too stupid to understand

According to your logic, then why did Hitler kill the Jews? Hitler believed in God, the same God the Jews believed in. Hitler invoked God and Jesus before every major speech he gave to the nation. Go look at the film archives and learn something.
You can believe in the same God and still kill people you FOOL.

I love all people, just like the Bible teaches me. I hope you made a good omelette!

The bbiel isn't about love. It is about control.
Do you know how much violence is contained in the bible?
You can find everything from murder, genocide, incest, rape, baby killing, intolerance, sexism.....take your pick.
Please don't sing the praises of the bible to me.
The book should be banned.
zmart4ever 2 years ago
Well, we Christians believe that Allah, Yahweh, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is the creator and can do whatever he wishes to us because we are ALL sinners. We are all born as very bad people with infinite sin. When we need to be punished, God will come and punish us however he likes. We are his creation and we cannot question what he does to us.
Did you enjoy that omelette by the way?
fatfist 2 years ago

We aren't born sinners. That's a crock.
No, i don't think it's cool that God bashes babies against rocks and rips babies out of the womb of pregnant women because he's pissed that they don't want to believe in him.
It's savage.
And it's not alright. And God doesn't make it alright.

let me ask you this: when is it ever right to rape a woman or slaughter an infant?
zmart4ever 2 years ago

The bible also claims that Birds were created before Land animals....which is absolutely false because Birds evolved from reptiles.
The bible also claims Bats are Birds....when they are actually mammals.
Still think everything in the bible is correct?
zmart4ever 2 years ago
If all this stuff in the Bible is false, then how can we possibly live these false lives where everything we learned about our Lord Allah, Yahweh and Jesus, to be all lies? Our money says "In God we trust". It has to there for a reason, right? If we cannot trust what we are told in our country, then who can we trust?
fatfist 2 years ago
good question.
The People that wrote the bible ment well.
They wrote it about their beliefs. I doubt they outright lied to cause people harm.
Doesn't mean what they wrote is fact.
That's the best i can do for ya.
zmart4ever 2 years ago
Actually, "In God We Trust" wasn't printed on money until the fifties, during the cold war. It was put there as propaganda against the 'godless communists'.

everybody in America believes it,"
Wrong. There are many Atheists and agnostics in america that don't believe the Bible.
There are people of different religons that also don't believe in the bible.
zmart4ever 2 years ago
About 23% of America ( one fifth) doesnt believe in Christ, and over 16% are Atheist or Agnostic. Besides, you have no idea what the President really believes, because he's a politician. It's his job to be popular, so of course he's going to say he's part of the same religion as 3/4 of the country.
Sh0nin 2 years ago
Please, the president of the US HAS TO say he believes in God or Jesus, or he will never win an election, because that's the way it is there. And in all honesty, if you believe that everything the bible says is right, then you are in sorry shape... but whatever floats your sorry boat.

If jesus did exist, there is little outside information about him other than what's in the bible.
it'spossible he was a real man, a small time cult leader at best, who's story got highly embellished later on.
Either way you slice it, when you look closer at the things Jesus suposedly said, he comes across as just another cult leader,
He made grandiose promises to his followers, threats to non-believers, demanded absolute loyalty, claimed to be the son of God....
zmart4ever 2 years ago
The holy quadrinity is:
Allah = Yahweh = Jesus = Holy Spirit
They are all ONE and the SAME. Think of it like an egg. You have the shell which is Allah. The whites which is Yahweh. The yolk which is Jesus and the chalaza which is the Holy Spirit.
The next time you eat an egg, you better think about this!
fatfist 2 years ago
The holy quadrinity is: Allah = Yahweh = Jesus = Holy Spirit"
Allah is an off-shot of the biblical God.
Yahweh is actually of pagan Nature. He was originally the War God of Canaan.
Jesus has nothing to do with either. He is the hero of the early christians and a propaganda piece for their religion.
The holy spirit has it's origins in the christian church.
Regardless, i'd rather not think of any of this while i enjoy my scrambeled eggs.
zmart4ever 2 years ago
Ahhh, but did you know that when you scramble your eggs, they all become ONE and the SAME, which we call GOD.
fatfist 2 years ago
There are other Gods.....where do they fit into the Omelette?
zmart4ever 2 years ago
Ok, hold on.....I think this may be a trick question. Are those other Gods you speak of real?
Well God said in 10 Commandments: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me"
So yes, it logically follows that there could be other Gods.
As to where they fit in the omelette.
Well, do you put any spices or cheese or chopped onion & peppers in your omelette. Yeah? Well those could be the other Gods you mention.
You are going to be a VERY spiritual person after you eat such a wonderful omelette!
fatfist 2 years ago
Yahweh was originally part of the Israelite pantheon (war god) and his consort was the goddess Asherah. After the Babylonian captivity the Levite priesthood began to worship Yahweh alone and by 150 BC the southern Judaists conquered the northern Israelites. those conquered were the later creators of Jesus (largely Samaritans). The NT (Ep to Heb) ascribes Jesus to the priestly line of Melchizedek which is also the priestly line of the pantheon that existed before Judah conquered Israel
itsarealmystery 2 years ago
How can you say Jesus didn't exist by looking at only four gospels that were translated and edited by the Catholic Church, and ignore the hundreds of gospels that were banned from the Bible? Moreover, we don't even know if the Catholic church took all the evidence of jesus and hide it very well. Why I say this? Because the Catholic church controlled Rome, and does anyone remember about the crusades? I do. I better to say, we don't know if Jesus existed. He might had, or maybe not.
SciPanFreethinker5 2 years ago

DoctorX101 2 years ago
"'of what he did against John.' I am suggesting that this passage is the interpolator's paraphrase of the closing words of the passage: 'Now, the Jews had an opinion that the destruction of this army was sent as a punishment upon Herod, as a mark of God's displeasure against him.' The latter version would have been the original, speaking of Herod's general impiety, the former being the paraphrase that introduces John the Baptist by name, making the military defeat. . . ."

Was Albert Einstein stupid? Albert Einstein wrote in his book "The World As I See It" that the harmony of natural law "Reveals an INTELLIGENCE OF SUCH SUPERIORITY that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection." (caps for effect only)
lenpettis74 2 years ago
Einstein went on to write, "Everyone who is SERIOUSLY involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a SPIRIT IS MANIFEST in the laws of the Universe--a SPIRIT VASTLY SUPERIOR TO THAT OF MAN, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel
humble." (caps for effect only, he wasn't yelling, nor am I) So I ask again, was Einstein stupid, or has science in disregarding possibility without exploring it willfully killed God, not that God never existed in the first place?
lenpettis74 2 years ago
"Einstein went on to write"
That is argument to authority, and Einstein did not really believe in a god you would agree with.
Einstein also had really odd ideas about counting with a violin and was wrong about quantum mechanics.
He is also known to have been wrong about the In Field Fly Rule.
