King frankie D. I'll bet you're black aren't you. The reason I guessed that is that since the president is black, a lot of black people have an emotional, irrational love of the president, because of the color of his skin. And frankly, that is racist against anyone who's not black!

@KingFrankieD I can tell you are oh so very well informed on political issues. Your statement about "Dumbass Republicans being morons" is very valid- that is in a political debate with a 2nd grader. Although, 2nd graders do not usually cuss meaning that they might be just a little more mature than you are. They can spell "for" also.
If you gave some actual substance backing your claim that Hussein Obama is better than the other Republican candidates, then maybe I could take you more seriously.
To those saying Republicans need a "moderate" influence you have no grasp of history. RECENT history at that. Republicans have run nothing but moderates since Reagan and with the exception of "W" how did that work out for the country?
It gave us Clinton and Obama is how it worked out.
We need a TRUE Conservative candidate.
People crack me up. They talk about how great Reagan was and then in the next sentence they start saying we need moderates. Reagan was NO moderate people!
ANY Republican candidate is going to create a liberal backlash. Bush certainly did and he was FAR from a Conservative. I did not vote for "W" to have him go to DC and make deals on Medicare with scum like Ted Kennedy (I hope he is burning in hell). ANYTIME a Republican makes deals with liberals the Republicans get mugged. Romney will roll over quicker than Monica Lewinsky with a Cuban Cigar in Bill Clintons mouth in the room.
Romney will not win. Make no mistake I will support him if he gets the nomination but he has flipped on too many conservative issues for the Tea Party folks to get behind him the way they did the Congressional Elections last year.
The LAST thing we need is ANOTHER establishment Republican. We have TRIED that how many times in the last thirty years? All it has gotten us is bigger government, deficits, Clinton and now Obama.
Make no mistake Romney will give in to liberals just like rest
@DalonCole that's the problem. Romney is a RINO and not a Republican. Cain is the only chance we have to get a condervative in the white house in 2012. If that fails, Bobby Jindal in 2016
@yakchirscarlson Yeah just what we need, another McCain, Dole, or Bush to run as a Conservative but they will get beat because they are really middle of the roaders.
Romney gets the nomination we lose. ALL the Democrats WANT Romney to get the nomination. You think it is because they like the guy or he will make a good President? Guess again.
@DalonCole Romney has the ability to unite the country. I’ll be the first one to admit he’s not the most conservative candidate – but, he has a foreign policy that will return the US to international prominence, and his economic policy will create jobs. Electing an ultra conservative will create a liberal backlash, and that candidate will be out of office in four years. What we need in the upcoming election a unifier, not another Obama divider.
This is what happens when we get a good Republican in office. In November 2012, it'll be time to get O-blow-me out of office and make him a one-term president.
@JC90280 i hope ur right we need another Conservative Revolution, i am predicting that the GOP Will Take The Senate, The White House and about 40 more seats in the house!
@cessna421ace I hope for that as well. Unfortunately, states like CA, NY and IL are virtual locks for Obama and his incompetent cohorts. In CA, it doesn't matter how bad things are (and they are bad with unemployment significantly higher than national average & huge budgetary problems), the Dems will win. The big city cess pools are Obama's best chance of staying in office. No President since Jimmy Carter deserves to be defeated more than Obama. Let's hope voters make the right choice this time.
That's because for so many years, Tennessee has generally been a Republican state with very few exceptions, such as 1964 when Johnson won all but five states.

@vccstudents America was gone since 1/20/01, and it started going downhill on 1/20/81, what makes you think the GOP will resurect the country? I know the Democrats haven't done shit to fix it, but lets face it, It was George W. Bush and the Republican controlled congress we had from '95-'07 that brought us where we are at today.
@mr19932001 I see, and NOBAMA screwing up our nation's credi rating when he had his precious PORKULUS PACKAGE to fix it and still won't dismiss Geithner is the answer! NOBAMA says, "We aren't even halfway there yet," as far as what he wants to do to this country! He better be MORE than halfway through because we cannot afford four more years of this! I apologize to all Jimmy Carter supporters. Carter is no longer the worst President in my lifetime. NOBAMA HAS 76 WEEKS OR 532 DAYS TO GO!
@vccstudents What makes you think I'm a "NOBAMA" fan? I didn't support him in the primaries and the only reason he had my support in the general election is because I couldn't stomach the idea of that Dingbat Palin being a heartbeat away from the presidency. I think choosing Geithner was a huge mistake, the stimulus package, while necessary, should've been different. Over half of the debt is the wars and the Bush tax cuts, and neither party will do away with those. No Repub or Dems in 2012!!!!!!!
@mr19932001 OK. I can sit with a cup of TEA with you on that one! I ask people how that "HOPE" and "CHANGE" are working for them now, and they get VERY QUIET!
@vccstudents When people ask me that question, I say not good. I may be a Democratic leaning person, but I'll admit Obama was the wrong man. 2012 is the first election I'm eligable to vote in, and I'm writing in "None of the Above" on the ballot and I encourage everyone to do the same at this point.
@mr19932001 If you do that, you give NOBAMA the election by default! We cannot afford four more years. He says, "We're not halfway there yet." We need to remind NOBAMA he now has 531 DAYS TO GO!
@vccstudents If the Republican party attract Moderates, the people in this country that actually decide elections in this country, Obama will loose re elcetion. If you pick a person like Bachmann, palin, or Rick Perry, a man who thinks he's a profit, than you won't attract moderates. I say to everyone in this country to write none of the above, because than not a Dem or Repub. gets eleceted. You say Obama is bad, and I agree, but Bush was even worse. It was his MANY failures that gave us Obama.
@vccstudents You could, but they only had the congress for the last two years. The economy went bad less than a year after they took over, so I think the Republian congress under Hastert that controlled from '99-'07 had a bigger part in those failures due to the fact that it takes more than a year to create an economy as bad as the one we've had from Dec. '07-present.
@mr19932001 Part of this also started late in Clinton's term when he, Frank, and Reid paved the way for people to get overextended on first-time houses. When they defaulted, and this blew up in our faces, Clinton was long gone. Do we really think Clinton cared who won the '00 election?
@vccstudents Yes, but the Republicans had the majority in Congress when all of that took place and they all supported it because their pals on Wall Street profited of all those shity mortgages, as a matter of fact, it was the Republicans who wrote the bill to repeal the "glass stegal act which separated commercial and investment banks. Bush also continued these policies, this Youtube video proves it: /watch?v=kNqQx7sjoS8. As far as Clinton and the winner of the '00 elcetion...
@vccstudents Not disagreeing with you on that, what I'm saying is both parties created the housing bubble/bust, both parties, not just Obama, spend like drunkin' sailors and have been doing so since Reagan, that's why I'm no longer a Democrat and became an Independent. This is all by partisan.
@mr19932001 OK. Do the right thing and VOTE NOBAMA OUT! NOBAMA promised to get this turned around in three years. Unemployment is 9.1%, which is only 1/10 of a point lower because people gave up, 72% of the GDP is spent on debt, the PORKULUS PACKAGE was a disaster, and today the DOW DROPPED 634 POINTS, 200 AFTER NOBAMA SPOKE about our great credit rating! And he wants to compare himself to REAGAN! NOBAMA CAMPAIGNED LIKE REAGAN, BUT HE GOVERNS LIKE CARTER! "THERE YOU GO AGAIN!"
@vccstudents Do you think Bush Cared who succeded him in '08? I don't think any president who isn't seeking another term due to term limits, or in LBJ's case not seeking another term cares who succedes them.
@tigerfan1984 By the way, unemployment in '09 was well below 9.1%, which it is now. Gas was well below the $3.50 a gallon we're paying now. This is all since 1/20/09. the PORKULUS PACKAGE proved NOBAMA CAMPAIGNED LIKE REAGAN, BUT HE GOVERNS LIKE CARTER! "THERE YOU GO AGAIN!" As for your crudeness, I am happily married, and my wife isn't one of your hos!
@tigerfan1984 And you need to wake up and smell the coffee that we don't spend and tax our way to prosperity as NOBAMA is doing! Check with the House GOP constituents! No one is mad at them! We were better off with RONNIE than we would have been under four more years of Carter or four of Mondale! I am a VERY PROUD AMERICAN by the way who has served! And NOBAMA HAS 559 DAYS TO GO!
Brinkley says, "Red are Reagan; that's why chose red." When we talk about red states today, we can hopefully speak of states that still value freedom -- as Reagan did! [Truthfully though, I suppose the networks don't want to associate red with the Democrat Party since so many in it are associated with red ideas.]
I just thought I'd let you know, there's a new Reagan App for iphones/ipads, it gives a random daily thought/quote from the great communicator himself.
What does it say about the man Reagan was when 49 of 50 states go to him? An unbelievable landslide that will probably never, ever be duplicated...it was an amazing time to be alive and the insult of the century to liberal assholes nationwide!!!
"Pennsylvania was too close to call for a while but its now GONE." Boy that pack a day chain smoking Peter Jennings really didn't like Reagan winning eh? What a POS. He was just a dickhead liberal.
I guess Peter Jennings had to go out and have a smoke after seeing how red that map was. In that way, it's nice to think Reagan winning probably contributed to Jenning's demise. Oh, and before the flaming starts, I've worked in the media for over a decade, and none of these on-camera people deserve to wear a halo. If you see them making fun of disabled and unfortunate people while their mic is off or backstabbing anyone blocking their road to fame as I have, the halo quickly falls off.
If Al Gore could of won his home state of Tennessee, he would of won the 2000 election with no controversy. But, I suppose the people of Tennessee knew him best. Im super serial!
ABC must have called Minnesota early for Mondale. I saw on the videoholic1980s channel a combination of 1984 election coverage footage and the brief NBC snippets (end of part 3) had Minnesota as the last state that was called (guessing around 1:00 a.m. or so?).
What election night drama? There was no drama in 1984 beyond whether or not Reagan would be able to win all fifty states, something that was genuinely discussed that night.
Ask anyone on the street "Did John Kennedy win a landslide in 1960?" and more people than you can ever imagine will say "yes." Also, and please everyone take a stab at this: I believe Kennedy and Khruschev saw the horror that was about to unfold and said "to hell with this." But does anyone think, if Nixon was in office, that Khruschev would have even TRIED that sh*thead move of his? I vote "NOT A CHANCE." What do you all think? Thanks :-)
For the most part, Reagan did save us from Carter's disaster, at least until 1987, when the Stock Market suffered its worst meltdown since the 1929 crash that triggered The Great Depression; then it took almost six years for not just our economy, but also much of the civilized world to recover and get back to its best economic numbers ever.
Ronald Reagan: Proof that Americans don't mind getting fucked in the ass, as long as you pretend to be "one of us". Clinton and W learned a lot from Ronnie.
Mondale would have represented the middle class as a much better president of the people. The moviestar provided charisma nothing more. Geraldine Ferraro would have broke the glass ceiling years earlier.
Yup, the Republicans need to give us another Reagan like candidate. If they give us Romeny, Newt, Huckabee and even Palin, consider Obama re-elected. We need a solid conservative.
@PawtucketPatriot66 NOBAMA is losing his own party right now over this TSA garbage! I'd like to see him get on a flight and subject his own kids to the same ridicule. We are done with NOBAMA! NOBAMA HAS 788 DAYS TO GO!
@Srd1126 Reagan raised taxes a bunch of times, during a recession, too. Ironically, since they now consider him their deity, Republicans would not like Reagan if he was around today.
@richardtheconquerer you need to quit making things up. Reagan never raised taxes during a recession. And why anyone like yourself would think raising taxes anytime is a good thing is beyond me. Wanting to have taxes raised is about the greediest behavior I can imagine.
@Srd1126 lol are you kidding me? Your lack of knowledge of history is amazing. First off, I never said tax increases were good. Second, please google TEFRA, or Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982. It's the largest peacetime tax increase in American history.
@richardtheconquerer just googled it, TERRA did not raise tax rates at all, just canceled some scheduled cuts and tightened some rules. The way you liberals change history to suit your needs is amazing. BTW: I guess you would agree with me then that we do not need any tax increases as part of the current debt-ceiling deal and Obama should agree to cuts only?
@Srd1126 1) Not a liberal, disagreeing with you does not make me the opposite of you 2) It's TEFRA, not TERRA. Not sure if you looked up something else. 3) You can spin it any way you want. It was a tax increase.
I actually like Reagan but saying he never raised taxes is silly. A few others: Highway Revenue Act of 1982, Deficit Reduction Act of 1984, and Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986.
@richardtheconquerer looked up the right thing, typed it in wrong, my fingers still have a hard time with small laptop keys sometimes. Whether he raised taxes or not, Reagan never bragged about it and certainly never promised higher taxes, unlike the leaders in the Democrat Party today.
0:38 "Red are Reagan." Hmm, is that what started the association of Republicans=Red, Democrats=Blue? The fact that Red and Reagan both start with R (and Republican too)?
There's been some confusion about that, because it wasn't that long ago (at least not long before 1984) that some networks would color states blue for Republicans and red for Democrats.
Epic win. '84 must've been embarrassing for the Democrats. We need something like this in 2012, a massive conservative Republican victory. But who's the candidate who can beat Obama?
@bwc3821 Well I would think he would have been in 1993-1995 when he had a Democratic controlled Congress and controlled Senate at the time as well. I don't think he moved to the center until he had a Republican Congress and Senate until 1995.
@puttputtking I think he was always fairly conservative. That's a big reason why he won, because he was successful in shifting the party to the right. As for Reagan...I don't mean to blame Ronnie for Bush/Clinton/Obama's bullshit, just saying he was the first to perfect that that whole "common man" garbage.
@bwc3821 Well I know that's your opinion, I just disagree with it, but your right to be entitled to your own opinion, but how do you see Reagan as the person who started the "common man" garbage? I'm just wondering.
Yeah I got a feeling that'll be Obama winning like that this November. Although I ain't voting for the SOB!

It was his MANY failures that gave us Obama.
mr19932001 5 months ago
@mr19932001 I could argue the Congress under Reid, Pelosi, and FRank on that one that did in W as well.
vccstudents 5 months ago
@vccstudents You could, but they only had the congress for the last two years. The economy went bad less than a year after they took over, so I think the Republian congress under Hastert that controlled from '99-'07 had a bigger part in those failures due to the fact that it takes more than a year to create an economy as bad as the one we've had from Dec. '07-present.
mr19932001 5 months ago
@mr19932001 Part of this also started late in Clinton's term when he, Frank, and Reid paved the way for people to get overextended on first-time houses. When they defaulted, and this blew up in our faces, Clinton was long gone. Do we really think Clinton cared who won the '00 election?
vccstudents 5 months ago
@vccstudents Yes, but the Republicans had the majority in Congress when all of that took place and they all supported it because their pals on Wall Street profited of all those shity mortgages, as a matter of fact, it was the Republicans who wrote the bill to repeal the "glass stegal act which separated commercial and investment banks. Bush also continued these policies, this Youtube video proves it: /watch?v=kNqQx7sjoS8. As far as Clinton and the winner of the '00 elcetion...

@mr19932001 And Barney Frank got us in the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac nonsense!
vccstudents 5 months ago
@vccstudents Not disagreeing with you on that, what I'm saying is both parties created the housing bubble/bust, both parties, not just Obama, spend like drunkin' sailors and have been doing so since Reagan, that's why I'm no longer a Democrat and became an Independent. This is all by partisan.
mr19932001 5 months ago
"THERE YOU GO AGAIN!"
vccstudents 5 months ago
@vccstudents Do you think Bush Cared who succeded him in '08? I don't think any president who isn't seeking another term due to term limits, or in LBJ's case not seeking another term cares who succedes them.
mr19932001 5 months ago
@mr19932001 And I'm sure this President doesn't care who succeed him on 1/20/13, which means there are 531 DAYS TO GO!

@kavalere How is he an asshole for saying that? It was close and called somewhat late...2,584,323 for Reagan, 2,228,131 for Mondale.

ABC must have called Minnesota early for Mondale. I saw on the videoholic1980s channel a combination of 1984 election coverage footage and the brief NBC snippets (end of part 3) had Minnesota as the last state that was called (guessing around 1:00 a.m. or so?).
HamptonRoadsTVFan 10 months ago
What election night drama? There was no drama in 1984 beyond whether or not Reagan would be able to win all fifty states, something that was genuinely discussed that night.

Srd1126 1 year ago
@Srd1126 Reagan raised taxes a bunch of times, during a recession, too. Ironically, since they now consider him their deity, Republicans would not like Reagan if he was around today.
richardtheconquerer 6 months ago
@richardtheconquerer you need to quit making things up. Reagan never raised taxes during a recession. And why anyone like yourself would think raising taxes anytime is a good thing is beyond me. Wanting to have taxes raised is about the greediest behavior I can imagine.
Srd1126 6 months ago
@Srd1126 lol are you kidding me? Your lack of knowledge of history is amazing. First off, I never said tax increases were good. Second, please google TEFRA, or Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982. It's the largest peacetime tax increase in American history.
richardtheconquerer 6 months ago
@richardtheconquerer just googled it, TERRA did not raise tax rates at all, just canceled some scheduled cuts and tightened some rules. The way you liberals change history to suit your needs is amazing. BTW: I guess you would agree with me then that we do not need any tax increases as part of the current debt-ceiling deal and Obama should agree to cuts only?
Srd1126 6 months ago
@Srd1126 1) Not a liberal, disagreeing with you does not make me the opposite of you 2) It's TEFRA, not TERRA. Not sure if you looked up something else. 3) You can spin it any way you want. It was a tax increase.
I actually like Reagan but saying he never raised taxes is silly. A few others: Highway Revenue Act of 1982, Deficit Reduction Act of 1984, and Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986.
richardtheconquerer 6 months ago
