Multiple vortex, definetly not a gustnado. Invisible tornado revealed by the dust, and plus the storm has a meso, proving it has rotation from cloud to ground. These are the tornadoes that can sneak up on people if they live in an area where no dust is lifted up. There has been strong to violent tornadoes that were invisible or barely visible also.
Looks like that bus was luckier than the bus in Poland which got tossed onto its side by a tornado in 2008 - which you can see many YouTube postings of.
Gustnadoes are formed by outflow winds or winds that are moving away from the storm rather than in towards the updraft. The storm was moving a little E of due south and the winds were from the SSE and were warm and moist. Gustnadoes will generally form away from the main circulation to the south and west with winds heading away from the storm.
This tornado did not hit anything significant; thus was rated F0. But the same supercell did produce an F3 tornado that was wrapped in rain approximately 20 minutes prior to this tornado. It was rated via the same DOW vehicles that can be seen on the Discovery Channel documentaries.
And that howling wind that is present throughout the entire video is actually coming from the SSE. You know, because all gustnadoes under a mesocyclone just fucking love inflow
You guys are pathetic. Seriously. Your basis of claiming it a "gustnado" is strictly on lack of a condensation funnel. Yet all of you are fucking lame ass NWS spotters. If your reports were to believed everytime, every fucking scud bomb some shitty-ass outflow dominant storm would be a wedge tornado to you. Yet you sit here and claim your worthless credentials as if I give a flying fuck. Hey, why don't you learn the dynamics of a fucking supercell before you judge you pieces of worthless shit.
What is the minimum amount of SRH needed for a right moving supercell to become tornadic? ( 0-1 km, and 0-3). What is needed for a 500 mb "cold-core" low to be capable of producing a tornadic event? In addition, where would you position yourself on a potential cold-core setup?
Radio it as a possible meso, are u retarded or maybe you're just a FRAUD? So is the rotation high-based? Is it cyclonic or anti-cyclonic? Do you think it's rooted in the boundary? What's the company called in Wichita? I know of all of the private ones there. Just admit that you are an idiot living a lie.
Dude, no one chases for the national weather service. There are spotters who SPOT for their COUNTY. Don't blame stuff on your brother...forfeit your internets and leave the basement. You fail.
Wellerman, you're 19, and you have a degree and 4 years experience? Got a name? I would know you, especially if you claim double digit tornadoes. I can't tell you how many times spotters have called in false reports and haven't had shit happen to them, and this video is justified. Better take a spotter class in the future.
So wellerman, just to rehash for you, microburst=downdraft (no rotation) mesocyclone=updraft rotation. Hell, even little kids who take spotter classes know that.
And you're an idiot for thinking any meteorologist wouldn't "accept this" as a tornado. As if being one (which you're not) has some sort of substance for credibility. You'd be surprised of how many don't even know what a wall cloud looks like.
Take a hike, I know this guy, he chases. He doesn't play weatherman on the internets fucking with people on youtube for some bogus forecasting site.
Kevin Martin, Ontario Weather Service, Meteorologist In Charge here. its caused by winds moving fast from the outflow, the sides of the strongest part creates a spin, much like a passing car. Not a true tornado there.
Bus vs Tornado useally the tornado wins but in this case the bus wins

That bus driver is luuuucky that it wasn't stronger. How strong would the winds have to be to knock the bus over/around?

The Bus chopped the tornado in half, why it didn't progress into huge tornado... LOL... Thanks to the bus.. ; )

Why is 1/3 to 1/2 of frame useless ground?
Zoom in to where horizon is near bottom of frame to show all of vortex on ground and more funnel. Not half foreground.
Finally, a nice close-up which actually showed something, but then you immediately pull back and contrast ruins image.
Nice, steady tripod mount. Too bad you were not father down the road and closer.
Stay in your car, video through open window.
Same view but less exposure to lightning danger..

I agree that it is a tornado and not a gustnado but how does the direction of the wind determine that?

I knew they formed from outflow. But didn't know the direction of the storm, thanks

It was not a gustnado. That is why I added the footage at the beginning of the OVERHEAD MESOCYCLONE.
There were also several other chasers in the area who CONFIRMED this as a tornado.
