Ok, tried the plan... Really Really don't use it as the only plan, as in without at least 3 arrow walls and a few tar pits the trap will fail miserably and you'll be chopped in half by orcs, but when it works without a crossbow orc disabling it, well. got to position 10,609 on the leaderboard when i got it to work.

| o ...so the orcs behind the one who sets off the barrel (Arrow wall hits barrel i assume) are all stuck within blast radius... I'll test this soon as the demo has loaded. this is just an idea for one bit of the trap corridor though, alternating arrow wall directions, tar pits, and spike traps still make up most of the plan.

i would set up wall traps on the back wall so when they come in they get shot, not untill they get to the side walls were he has them set up. also they'd set off the barrels without you haveing to shoot them your self. also, you could hide around corners and have a less chance of them hitting you with arrows. I didn't like the boom barrel either, but after a while I discovered that you can place the barrel on the ground and then push it away with the wind belt. This is very effective if you have a lot of enemies at one particular point. Just try it out, it worked well for me.
