  • the voice is not that clear

    please check it out

  • law of attraction :D

  • @braincakez Exactly! ;-)

  • hello, i am from Vietnam, i really want to know that If I use many idiomatic expressions, proverd to speak English, all native speaker will understand me? because some people said that " meaning of idiomatic expression sometimes is not relevant with single word" for example: " walk in the park, it means "very easy".?

  • @chuongnguyenhonai01 Most idiomatic expressions will be understood by native speakers worldwide unless they're very specific and originate from events that might not be known in other parts of the world. That's why actually don't focus on learning your typical English proverbs such as "raining cat's and dogs" or "until cows come home" because I think they're losing relevance in this day and age. "Walk in the park", however, is something that I would never hesitate using!

  • I grew up speaking English, so I never really thought too hard about it. But these videos made me realize stuff that wouldn't have ever occurred to me otherwise. I like these a lot, man, these are great.

  • @uiruu Thanks, I'm really glad to receive comments like this - thanks again!

  • that's my problem in my english class, first i thought i'd make some mistakes...and not confidence to say something...just before i speak english i have a lot of a bunch of words on mind, but soon when i want to speak up, it's all ready gone.... i screw myself with my broken english...english words on my mind that i want to speak with has already disappeared ....can you help me, sir....?

sorry for my broken english, but i try to improve my english

  • @GetInside157477 I'm help foreign English speakers deal with issues like you just described on a regular basis, and believe me - you're not the only one having such problems! The key to fluent English speech is ability to think in English and also knowing plenty of idiomatic expressions and collocations which will help you to speak automatically. It's also very important not to speak very fast. For more info please visit my blog - just click on the link below the video!

  • @EnglishHarmony OK, 1. think in english 2. know idiomatic expressions 3. know collocations 4. speak slowly and clearly..... thank you very much, sir.... your advice means so much, i'll visit your blog anyway

  • the music on the background is quite disturbing

  • @deexus Well... There's nothing I can do about it now! I've done away with background music in my later videos but I can't really take it out from a video that's already posted.

  • you have a pretty bold russian accent, man =)

  • @vladvic So what? You can be fluent with an accent, and I couldn't care less what others think of my accent. You see - perfect English pronunciation is generally mistaken as a sure sign of fluency and lack of thereof is perceived as lack of fluency which is actually not always the case!

  • Hey man, I'm watching this first time by chance, and while I'm sure you're a great mentor and motivator and all, but you need to improve your accent man! =) Your "r's" and stuff, you know?)

  • @Seikenguy You think I'd speak in an accented English for years and never tried to improve it? I have improved, and I still keep doing it; but more importantly - my accent has got very little to do with my ability to communicate. That's the point I'm making in a few of my videos as well, by the way.

  • @EnglishHarmony Sure man, sorry for being so blunt) I'm not bashing you, on the contrary, I'm a bit envious that you can be so confident about teaching communication while not being perfect yourself)

  • I like ur positive side! Good video!

  • @Zhako123 Thanks!

  • nice,thnk you :))

  • Hi Robby, I'm an English teacher... and I love your lessons and tips, because it's obvious to see you've worked hard and found success.

I just wanted to say, please don't drop the music totally, especially at the beginning, middle and end (to add a bit of variety and keep things moving along).

    Keep up the good work

  • @couvester4UK Thanks a lot! As for music - I kept getting comments about music being a distraction so I did away with it completely... It's hard to please everyone! :-)))

  • Wow, man, I just found you and you're so inspiring! Sub earned.

  • @Clarensee Thanks! ;-)

  • @EnglishHarmony .. hi I watched some of your video. woohh how i wish i could speak snglish as very soon..im gonna download your video on my Phone so i can watch your video wherever i am..

  • Thanks a lot dude, this is just simply amazing especially to beginners like me, I'm an Asian(from Philippines) and as Asian we have our own native language and that's just the simple reason why we are struggling in improving our communication skills using the English language. This would really help us. I just want to say that it is great to know and meet people like you who have passion to something and from that passion you tend to share and help others who also passionate to that something.

  • @patrickandjerome Thanks for your comment, much appreciated!

  • I've just watched a couple of your vids and I really like your approach to explaining learning techniques to your audience. To my mind, it'd be useful to have a checklist on your left to guide people, like on a regular talk. Besides, the music is kind of loud and your voice needs to stand out. You have a great potential dude. Way to go!

  • @qarlosjo Thanks for your comment! I agree about the music - in my latest videos I'm not using it anymore. And your checklist idea is actually quite good - I'll definitely give it a consideration. As for the potential - thanks, I hope I'll reach more and more audience in the months to come!

  • You've helped me indefinitely; thank you very much

  • @DazedBarr Thanks, I'm really glad you find my advice useful and motivating!
