I'll be disgusted if they trial him in the U.S, I know its a very tricky situation for the U.S State Security, because some cheeky little wizz kid might think "well Gary McKinnon got away with it and he's famous now, they wont send me to jail, not when they see my innocent cheeky smile", yeah its tricky.

They should be bloody grateful to him for highlighting their stupidity, and i bet they would love to give him a job, especially MI5, but they can't, it'll send the wrong message to youngsters.

@ForCurrentUse I agree the poor guy has autism just like me he did'nt relaise what he was doing I often make mistakes myself and a lot of people cannot apprecaite me for who I am and it's things like this that make me deperessed and suicidal. @KierenMan That was a cyber peace process which has, incidently, been heavily edited to make sound more sinister. In the full message he was concerned that the american people were losing their democracy from within. He also left hundreds of notes pointing out the lack of passwords and security that pervaded their systems.

Gary hacked into a computer that dealt with the "Parks and Cemetry" administration in Washington. and may have disrupted the efficient running of these important landmarks. This was VERY serious! especially the Cemetry disruption. The Computer Trade Press have disclosed what actual damage Gary McKinnon caused. He did NOT disrupt operational work in secure military installations, as he only was able to hack null-password Web Sites.

Hello Janis & Wilson, it is a great thing to have seen this news however going by Obama and Camerons body language I am not convinced by their sincerity.
