Mine is Red 1990 Wolksburg with 1.3 mono injection, 55hp and never has so much fun even thought it struggles to overtake new cars so what it never breaks and 3.9l on 100km with 90kp/h on clock means bigger wallet... :) and that 489BHP ABSORBS fuel and comparing such powerful engine to mass of the car - more burnout then acceleration. I dont remember technical name for it, but I hope you get me:)

MK3's had 12V engines that had a narrow angle V - 15*

MK4's had 12V engines that were identical to MK3's except they had .5 higher compression up until 2002.5 when they switched to the 24v engine with the same 15* V.

R32's are a 24V VR6 that are 3.2L instead of 2.8. Still the same angle between cyl. With an even higher compression ratio.

All the FSI VR6's (3.2 & 3.6) are the only ones with a narrower angle (10.6*)

arsenic06, the 3.2L engine in the R32 is indeed a VR6, it has the same rods and angle between the cyl, however the bore and stroke were changed (from the 12v and 2.8L 24v's). Also, the head casting is different with larger ports which flows much more air then either the 12V or 2.8 24v.

also i beleive that the pistons on the 3.6 are 10.6 deg but the rods dont follow the pistons exactly its a weird engine

Vr6 is a 2,8l and 2,9l 12v

R32 is a 3,2l with 24v and a tighter degree between each cylinder.

The 2.9 is the best sounding though :)

its an r32 engined mk2 glanzbo, the mk2 g60 was an 8v, look at the engine cover, does that look like an 8v to you?... the g60 was also a left hand drive as standard... still, what a car, an absolute beast! must be hell of a tight fit getting that r32 engine in it..!

The R32 has a 3.2 litre VR6 in it. V-Motor + Reihenmotor= inline V6 engine. Reinmotor means straight motor.
