You can tell by watching any live video of him playing (compare the high and low notes, with the position of his right hand). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not to mention the Uni-Vibe. These fuzz boxes are part of Jimi's signature sound.

Yeah, this is wrong! The song was recorded in Eb. You're playing it to that key while tuned in E regular. You should be playing this one step/fret higher so that the main riff can be played normally - i.e E. If you want it chromatically correct, then you need to tune the whole guitar down one step.

Yeah, this is wrong! The song was recorded in Eb. You're playing it to that key while tuned in E regular. You should be playing this one step/fret higher so that the main riff can be played normally - i.e E. If you want it chromatically correct, then you need to tune the whole guitar down one step.

@APoniat He is not missing a few notes, he simplified the riff so beginners can learn. It bugged me for a few moments too but then I thought that he is showin an easier way so then the beginners can play and listen to the music and get Jimi Hendrix way to play it.
