A mashup is just about mixing styles trying to get the best possible result: making it sound good. Profanation often occurs but This sounds good. i am not a real fan of the 50 cent song since it was really hyped up, he has better ones.

the subjective level however depends on what we connect the songs to.

if you cannot try and omit that subjectivity to a certain point, you arent ready for crossgenre tracks and will be distracted by being too biased.
