  • This when congolese musicians were really blacks and very handsome. The great Franco is my idole! He incarnes how a true black man should look like

  • wow that guitar kills. whats the song all about?any one out there help

  • @keyapatrick The song title in French loosely translated in English means "Everyone for himself" so it's generally an advice for one to go slow as you are on your own at the end of the day. Someone better versed can take it from there....

  • From around 1990 Franco always used to start his shows when he arrives on stage with this song . Still love it, the guitar work by Franco is amazing.

  • @Juluka69 I only disagree with part of your comment. Franco was not playing guitar "around 1990" because, he unfortunately, passed away in 1989.

  • @JonesDolla Haaaaa, bwana Dolla U got me there, thanks for the correction and sorry my mind was so much in the nineties, must have meant 80's . Think the song came out around 85-86 ? I watched him play it in 87.

  • good music, still being played in Bars and clubs here in Yaounde.

    Saidou, from Yaounde Cameroon

I simply request that anyone out there who may advice on what material i should get to learn lingala. This would enable me undersdtand the music much better.

    Thanks

  • Tune to KBC ENGLISH SERVICE Every weekend sato and sunday 10am

  • @ochieng100 for lingala books...get something off amazon.com...what's interesting about lingala is that its extremely simple to learn...already after studying it for 2 months with the music i understand it quite well, if u speak a bantu language and french than thats a great start

  • @ochieng100 My wife calls this Jaluo music cause the Luos popularised the music in Kenya i love it so much

  • Quel patrimoine quand même !!! En dépit de tout ce qui s'est passé et qui prévaut encore dans ce pays... le nôtre.

  • Franco recorded this song in 1983 at the Studio Johanna in Bagnolet in France with Michelino playing the lead guitar and Josky backing too

  • Great song! Thank you for posting, deemikay. Do you know what year Franco recorded it? It sounds later than 1967-1968 (on the sleeve).

  • A humanity, humanist sound. It chills the soul to ice cool in a herringbone jacket! Simple math of logarythm - collectable turns in the sight of Lingala river voice melodious paraphrase of newer brown floods within a congolese/zairois simple staple of homage to musical appreciations!

  • He stands amongst the three best ever:Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and the great Luanzo Luambo Makiadi. What a genius.I play him every day before i go to sleep.

  • This song is classic. It reminds me of Franco's concert at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi during the 20th Anniversary of Kenya's Independence.

What goin on in some1's house is his busines why are u talkin so much.u're makin me laugh cuz my man was chosen by God .This world is pitiles, ppl always want to know other ppl secrets. When my man is from work, he asks for water, I give him water then phone starts ringin: calls from America,Europ.

My man never gets angry since we've been married...

  • l'homme le plus cool de tous le musissien

  • speak english..lol..just kidding. i love this song but i have no idea what it is about

  • this is not a translation of the lyrics but the little story beyind the song. If you Franco you will should understand that most of music is adressed to someone or some people directely.

For this song my aunt told me that Franco was accused to the president (Mobutu that time) by one of the politicians that he was making propaganda against Mobutu and he wrote this song show that Mobutu was the father of all of us (congolese).

  • No!!! The song was written by Josky Kiambukuta. Luambo took it and changed some lyrics to illustrate the life of the presidential couple: Bobila Dawa and Mobutu.

  • Thanks for the correction. I just listen to it again and it does make sense now. Thank you very much.

  • SONG O-YO CHANGER NGAI ESSPRI
