I hate how afraid and turned off people are by the "lo-fi" sound. It takes a bit of adjusting, but it's worth the multiple trials! My friend said of Harlem and The Strokes "they could have some good songs if it didn't sound so....idk" "lo-fi? Yeah that's why I didn't like the Strokes initially but now I love them. It grows on you tremendously" I replied. adlfjaldfjld whatever all there's to say is this shit is good. Bummer I can't make it to Lolla to catch both bands.

@msr824 i really dont think the strokes are considered lofi, this isnt even that lofi compared to other bands. like wavves' first two lps are extremely lofi. also smith westerns/ and a lot of the earlier best coast songs are really lofi/ recorded in bedrooms.

And you're probably right -- I honestly don't know how to guage how lofi they actually are, it's just a shame that it's such a turn off because that was the reason my friend listed for not liking Harlem or The Strokes.
