  • We meet again, 240p.

  • Watchmen is great. It is unfortunate they didn't use more than one actor for the motion comic. Its just too much of a stretch for him, especially the female voices.

  • in the movie they said he was born in 1919 not 1924. which one is the right one cuz if he was born in 1924 he would have been the comedian since his late teens

  • I find this to be one of the most beautiful scenes in Watchmen, up there with Hollis Mason's death.

  • I feel pity with the comedian even though he raped woman and killed people with no mercy but what he did is the right thing in un peaceful world just see the part where the nam woman came to him and ask him to bring her to america we can see the woman just sleep with him for a purpose and the part where he blow the riot crowed to talk like owl did with a purpose to make the crowed calm has no used at all.

  • @parisiteparylyze1 lol true

  • Whats great about this novel is that I've read it a dozen times and everytime, I find out something I never saw before that blows my mind.

  • Where is this from? From 'The Watchmen' movie DVD!? It's nice, I love comic books.

  • And I’m up while the dawn is breaking, even though my heart is aching. I should be drinking a toast to absent friends instead of these comedians.

  • my favorite joke since i first read Watchmen waaaaaaay back in '85.."But Doc..I am Paggliacci." It's beautiful.

  • @SunDown419 It really is beautiful. I get so frustrated by people who can't understand Watchmen.

  • @Stigmatainmypants I get frustrated by pretentious elitists like you.

  • @BasementBeginnings You're my sister, aren't you?

  • @Stigmatainmypants Why do you ask? Do you want to fuck me?

  • @BasementBeginnings Why you being a douche? :/

  • @BasementBeginnings I ger frustrated by assholes like you.

  • i wish the comedian got cut and scared by the chick in the movie the same way as he does in the comic. when the chick cuts him in the movie its no more then a scratch but in the comic he's totally dissfigured.

  • Wow. That is amazing. Love everything about it. I haven't actually read the comic, but I've seen so much about it, and I'm buying the comic ASAP. Same with the animated stuff, and movie. Wow. Looks fantastic.

  • Too bad that all the voices are done by the same guy.

But the voice actor does a AWESOME Rorschach. Exactly how I imagined him to sound like when I read the comic.

  • that got on my nerves at first, but soon i got lost with the story..

  • is the full comic animated like that? where can i buy it?

  • It's in one pack of the complete story with ultimate cut :D

  • You can buy it on itunes. Different chapters for like 2 dollars or the whole graphic novel for 20$

  • The narrator's voice is good but his delivery falls short. Even Alan Moore's narration of his own work doesn't really cut it. The only way to portray a brilliantly written character is to give a brilliant performance.

  • I've not seen the film yet and I'm not in any rush to.

  • I've seen and read both renditions and I have to say if there was one thing I was impressed by, it was Rorschach's performance. Spot-on IMO. If you're worried the film might spoil your appreciation of Watchmen or something just go see it when you get the chance and take it for what it is.

  • He sounds like he would be a good Batman voice actor.

  • The score is beautiful.

  • I love this narrarator's voice, he suits Rorshach perfectly in my opinion.

  • I prefer the movie!

  • The meaning of the joke is clear. The clown can protect everyone from themselves, from their own depressive natures, but this doesn't free the clown.

The Comedian is Pagliacci; he's taken the weight of humanity's true nature on his shoulders, he's saving them from themselves. But there's nobody to save him.

    Who's Watching this Watchman?

  • That paragraph you wrote was so deep that I didn't even understand it. Great job.

  • Very well explained!

  • Veidt saved that Watchmen. lol

  • you gotta know how to laugh at things its all funny if you take a moment to look at it. seriously i hate to break up your fucking depressing bs but everything has humor in it absolutly everything if you are able to look for it.

  • Even death and other atrocities. I laugh at the death and pain of others.

  • i think im going to hate the comedian.

  • it takes true depression to get that joke.

  • life sucks its like when they say that the clown is seen as the hapiest thing or person because he makes people laugh but on the inside he is lonely and sad i always thoght that it was because people laguh at them but yea its basically saying life suks den u die

  • I'm trying to understand the joke. When he says he's the clown... does that mean the only cure is yourself, or life sucks??? o.O

  • no hes depressed cause hes a clown

  • Life sucks.

  • Look at it from the perspective of a Vigilante. They can make things better for the world, but self-salvation eludes them.

  • yea like you know the cure to everyones disease but your own

  • watchmen is an excellent movie never have i seen such a brilliant expose' on the individual and collective minds.

  • you mean the graphic novel. The movie did not do justice to the graphic novel.

  • no the big screen movie was a masterpiece of photography.

  • I will agree and disagree... And the disagree would have to be with the score, like when this part of the movie came up, i was not really moved by it. How this presented itself was more dramatic and sad, and meanwhile with the movie score, it seemed like Sin City

  • beautiful man, this monologue is better than the fucking movie.

  • The Comedian and Rorschach are the only ones who got the joke, I think Ozymandias got it too, after his encounter at the Crimebusters meeting.

  • that one frame, before he gets thrown, he expression is so sad, I shed a tear to that

  • Great work! This's one of my favourite moments. and I'm cryin'! Really! Blake is a hero. for his patriotism, strong will and great idea that a joke everything is, being the Comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

I saw a lot of people who hate Blake... So, "let's really put these jokers through some changes."

  • like it

  • i like the motion comic, I have it on my iPod

  • rorschach you thief thats the comedians rose

  • I remember when I was reading it the Comedian was perhaps my favorite character to read about. This moment with Rorschach at his grave actually made me want to cry, its touching.

  • this monologue touched me so deeply.

  • LOL

  • Good joke, everybody laugh.

  • watchmen is much better tah spidermen a shits like that

  • Absolutely Right

  • @jxlxo there pretty different though

  • @jxlxo som-eh ting tew me yew no speek-ed-iey english?

  • this made me cry first time i saw it

  • wow

  • Beyond choked up.

  • cool

  • So much better than the movie!!!
