Along with drilling adequate water wells and educating enough people to maintain water treatment facilities we need to supply enough food and basical medical aid. Basic educating select individuals of each village could make sure that people produce enough food and other products to maintain themselves above the current dismal standings. America and Western Europe could feed EVERY starving person and supply them clean water easily and quite inexpensively. It's a matter of priorities...
Keep the dialogue going, but all of us can go. Hell it s 200 cups of coffee you could fast and take a flipping trip to Africa and love one of these people. Trust me they aren't far from any airport. If you're a business person or an entrepreneur you can take the bigger challenge. Use your gift to mentor people in the developing world. It's not sad they exist, it's sad we are so tentative about helping.
Thanks for posting the vid! Scream it... WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Personaly i felt like being sick after watching this, i dont understand how people can watch this sorta stuff and carry on living their normal lives. Needs to be stopped!:(
This is sickening. People who have maids and have there meals cooked for them with all that money should be trying to do something. We all should. The goverment funds wars that cost billions of dollars they should be doing something worth while with there money. Not kill people. Lets start saving them.
Yeh 24Tun, the guy who took the photograph (Kevin Carter) of the little boy with the vulture in the background did commit suicide in 1994, one year after taking the picture during the Sudans famine =(
With all the tech we have these days and every thing from cars to just yeahh all that stuff but we can't stop to take an extra second to see thouse that are in need. How can we even live knowing that people are livig like this. We need to do something and if we don't we will die knowing that we could have something and I think it is stuppid how we aren't doing anything
people who come and watch these and just look away and say thats horrible or its sooo disguisting. no, its not horrible or disguisting, its hapening every day every minute evry second... we should do something about it
The europeian culture is superior and faster, we have already live through this, my nation had suffered more then them. They need also to become aware of this. Our fault was only that we encroached into their lives. They should still in tribal level keep.
I would like to add that in one of the first picutres with the child crouched forward dying and the valture behind was killed by the valture as the photographer watched on. It left him trumatised for years as he said he could of saved the child but didnt. Just thought I would share that. The vid was ok
For many, this is new information. The work is not meant to be a tool for people to fight poverty, but clearly to increase awareness. The media does not show this because it makes people uneasy, and I don't think there is any confusion as to why that is the case. I believe it may be you that needs to go to the drawing board, as it is your responsibility now that you are aware of the situation.
You're saying that you didn't know that people suffer before you saw this video? The media doesn't show third world starvation? Switch the channel from Entertainment Tonight to any serious news show and you will see it
Every time I see those things, almost about to cry, I feel so sad, and I like to run there and help them... maybe some day I will... I am so lucky too living in Venezuela.

thanks for posting. Spreading awareness is the first step to eliminating the problem. I also think the Muse song is very appropriate.
