I know it as "Artificial Harmonics". Tommy Emmanuel uses it, Lenny Breau, I think Chet Atkins also used it in some songs. Tommy's version of "Michelle" has heavy use of this technique if ya wanna check it out.
Hey friend, sorry for the terribly late reply. The first chord takes practice. When viewing the vid at 0:00 Pause it. My middle finger covers both the 6th and 5th string on the 9th fret(Yeah one finger covers two strings hah), while my index is on the 7th fret of the fourth string. Your ring finger will do most of the labor, covering the three remaining strings at the ninth fret. The set up should look as followed on the diagram:
997999
It's tough, believe me but practice makes perfect!
Yeah, it's tough. Make sure to arch your middle finger enough so that it won't touch the D string, but also make sure it's holding down the E and A string too.. It's sounds almost impossible for the tip of your finger to hold down two strings, but if you practice it enough it becomes second nature.
Not even close. But you keep working on it.

Man, this sounded great, but. You should re-record it when you have new strings and a nice condensor mic, that would sound so nice :)

Do you know the name of the harmonic technique you use at the beginning? I want to find more songs/guitarists that use such a technique! Thanks =D
