  • Not only is the pitcher impressive, but the catcher doing splits is quite amazing as well...hahah.

  • If this guy were to play in the pros, his curveball might not be good. Good curveballs in the major leagues are different, because major league balls' seams are much thinner. A pro ball hit off a bat can travel 50 feet farther than a regular ball. Atleast that's in the major leagues, I dont know about the japanese leagues.

  • this highschool??? damn.

  • is my impression or the strike zone is huge?

  • @chokin2 ~ in high school ball the rule book strike zone must be used

  • he is gunna be a major leaguer some day

  • mound looks shitty

  • 甲子園is what makes the high school students in Japan so good

  • the thing about japanese pitcher is their fastballs are super straight but their curveballs are death

  • @dawnmikebob chinks are chinese, nips are japanese, get it right

  • どのような偉大な投手だけで、高速ではなく、正確にも。

  • god his curve is as fast as my fastball

  • god his curve is my fastball

  • the awsome part of this is that hes only 5"10 170 throwing 93+. Its all about the mechanics, notice his upper body how explosive it is.

  • he hit 96

  • damn! that sinker at 1:00 wass sick man

  • That was a 12-6 curve not a sinker.

  • damn guy In high skool dealn with a fast 4seamer fastball an got a filthy break 2 that curveball remind alittle bit of Stephen Strasburg

  • @stuko183 dont get carried away bro. strasburg is somethin else

  • dang hes good...im studying how he pitches so i can take a little and make myself better

  • 96 on a fastball 67 on the curve, that's not even fair.

  • @MDFromNC13 Its not all about speed, noob.

  • @ruukasusama1 No shit, but it helps. Noob? This is a video...

  • @MDFromNC13 with help from umpire, it's not even a game LOL

  • This guy is sick!!! That breaking ball is amazing!!! He should go far with mechanics like that!

  • forget the fastball, his breaking ball looks savage

  • You will never know unless you go to Okinawa or Japan and live there...then you will know. It's not about D1 or D3 or any other that Bull shit. This is a way of true life for them. When is the last time you drove through an American subdivision neighborhood and saw a sandlot baseball game being played at 11pm at night. I lived it and know it- there is no comparison-yakyu ooooooo shimasu---ne!!

  • my older cousin got recruited by the rangers and je pitches 93

  • 牽制!ぅんまいっ!!

  • why the fuck is that catcher doing the splits???

  • Low strike zone.

  • he wants it low outside

  • Comment removed

  • correct me if im wrong (which i may be) but isnt he only throwing like 93 mph? ps that catcher is nasty i wish i could get THAT low

  • Only 93 mph?? tell me how that's "only" :D

  • It's the control and movement of the Japanese pitchers that make them good.

  • That's one of the dumbest comments I have ever read.

  • @Lspurls18 only 93? Thats an above average major league fastball.

  • @noahmcdx 83** my bad

  • WOW LOOK AT THE CATCHER AT 0:30

  • And 3:50 as well lol

  • 147 km is 92 mph

  • wow, this guy has really clean fastballs.

  • He shares the same mechanics as Tim Lincecum.

  • not really what is even close to Tim's mechanics?

  • how old is he?

  • i love how soi many ppl attend high school games

  • WOW ;; he might be able to get 160km with wild pitch

  • wow i saw a 154 km

  • ... Are you sure this kid is in highschool? The crowd seems rather large for it to be a highschool game..

  • Yes, this is from the National High School Baseball Championship commonly known as Koshien. It is a single elimination tournament of the best 49 high school teams of Japan. It is not uncommon to see members of the losing team in tears after a game. It matches if not surpasses popularity of Pro baseball in Japan. The best players of Koshien are celebrities before theyre even drafted. Notable Koshien alumni are Hideki Matsui, Daisuke Matsuzaka, and Yu Darvish.

  • Oh alright. Thats awesome. I wish there was something like this in the US. All we have is state baseball : (, I have always wanted to play teams from other states.

  • @shuuto150 I watched a documentary on this tournament. It's really serious in Japan.

  • Koshien is the most famous baseball event in Japan. Highschool championship here in states should be more serious!

  • @SvNsEt yeah its in highschool i hear this is like the world series for the japanese

  • @SvNsEt ignorant person know nothing about japanese baseball

  • @myamiheet1 ... says that guy who has never been good at baseball in his life?

  • @SvNsEt mate it's japan.

  • @SvNsEt Baseball in Japan is very popular. Even in High school, it's a very popular, and they play for living.

  • @SvNsEt are you serious theyre asian..... nothing is a big crowd in asia

  • 3:51 nastyyyyyyyy!!!
