no i'm pretty sure about that part. Search up TED scooba dives to the middle of the coral reef. I think that one gave me that fact. When you scooba, if you have a pure O2 tank your blood will be oxygenated. thats why they have another tank that gives you other mixes of air. But it could be that naturally scooba diving for a long time will do that because your taking in pure O2 and you breath out the other substances.

The juice stuff sounds like superstition but overall its probably ok when your on it but if your body gets used to getting oxygen easily it could make life without it alot more difficult, you could even become dependant on it. Like in zero g its alot easier for astronauts hearts to pump the blood so when they come back to earth they can have problems but but obviously they now would make sure your healthy enough before you go to space. Thats what i recon anyway.
