@Motorfordtoyota I've had the same ideas, but as things stand it's meant to see how a buick performance car will do on the market. If it does well enough they will probably try a GSX or GNX with closer to that idea. The new alpha platform is coming out from GM which would be a perfect base for a rear wheel drive twin-turbo buick to debut on. As far as I'm concerned it's a smart plan because as far as power goes, this GS is still faster than any other buick except the GNX and the GSX potentially.

@buddiiee the gs is going to be an all wheel drive car based on the all wheel drive opal insignia. It is a German based car. Different sources claim that the 4 cylinder is just to hide GM's true intention of bringing the v6 from the European model to our show rooms. Even GM admits it will be AWD. Lets hope Turbo V6 AWD!

@dualtek100 first off nobody copied nobody, its just so that Opel, Vauxhall is part of GM (Europe) so basically they're sharing their design with GM (America). Saturn is no longer a part of GM and so is pontiac. I believe that the Opel Insignia OPC rebadged to the Buick Regal GS is a smart move to finally put buick on the map against competitors like the Accord, Camry and Altima. word has it that the Regal wont get the OPC design, instead it will get the original Insignia design for 2011.

The features of the car is good, and it kills me to say since I don't like domestic cars.

I find it quite stupid that the US Spec of this car is underpowered compared to the UK Spec. I don't understand why they would drop the power by that much.

Two reasons why I think this car will be a flop.

#1, Its a Buick. Eww...

#2, Why buy a car when you know there is another car that's exactly the same with more power, but just isn't sold here. It feels like you are getting ripped off. IMO.
