I can tell that she has talent and, for the style she does, she sings very well. But, to be honest, I don't really like it. One thing I don't like is when people take a song and slow it down to fancify it ~ I find it taunting and want them to get on with it. That is my personal preference.
The other thing I don't like about this is that Bianca sounds like she's shouting most of that. I can hear that she sings the long notes (there is blatant vibrato) but the rest of it sounds like yelling.

Yeah, the conductor sets the parameters for the music and she just has to go along with it. I agree that the people running the sound were not very professional regarding the mixing levels and microphone techniques. Too bad, because she deserves better.

pulsatingdisco, Bianca has a beautiful voice, she has a special talent. And i must tell you some things: Charice started singing at the age of 4, Bianca at the age of 8. Charice had singing courses, Bianca learned by herself, and she is amazing. I have never heard a voice like hers. And I like her more than I like Charice. So that's an opinion, not a FACT.:)

I was totally blown away by the vocal strategies of Bianca Ryan. The vocal control she is able to perform is impeccable. After listening to her for the first time a few days ago, my first question was "Who on earth is her vocal coach and instructor?"
I realize that she had to have some equipment to work with, but the final product speaks volumes of the direction given.
I agree with "ragdump", if you will go to her videos, "goldchamp71", that were done of the TBN shows, especially the interviews, then you will understand just how well Bianca has a grasp on the true meaning of her music. She takes all of her gospel songs very seriously and sings them with a passion which is outstanding for such a young lady.
Last night I listened to a hour long radio interview with Bianca and I can tell you Bianca has a total grasp on what she sings and talks about even the woman interviewing Bianca was impressed by her,she said she had never interviewed anyone younger than about 25 and she couldn't believe how articulate Bianca was,in fact I think Bianca was better than the person interviewing her,I think Bianca could have done the show better

I agree, "animeflowergurl". It is called "belting" and is a carry over from the old Vaudeville days and the early days of the Broadway shows when the performers did not have the kind of audio systems that are in use today. Without belting, the singers would not have been heard throughout the entire theatre. Bianca uses it to project the power in her voice. Any over modulations of her voice during the loud passages are the fault of the engineer at the audio control board.

If Bianca sounds like this at 16, she's going to rise above and beyond the greatest singers by the time she's in her 20's - assuming she takes proper care of her voice, that is.

Yeah, the conductor sets the parameters for the music and she just has to go along with it. I agree that the people running the sound were not very professional regarding the mixing levels and microphone techniques. Too bad, because she deserves better.

pulsatingdisco, Bianca has a beautiful voice, she has a special talent. And i must tell you some things: Charice started singing at the age of 4, Bianca at the age of 8. Charice had singing courses, Bianca learned by herself, and she is amazing. I have never heard a voice like hers. And I like her more than I like Charice. So that's an opinion, not a FACT.:)

Fatdildo learn your facts before you post, bianca DID have voice training...she was trained by sal dupre, and i might add, it didnt work to well...

I applaude you Sal Dupree for the awesome work you have produced in Bianca Ryan and Tiffany Evans.
I was totally blown away by the vocal strategies of Bianca Ryan. The vocal control she is able to perform is impeccable. After listening to her for the first time a few days ago, my first question was "Who on earth is her vocal coach and instructor?"
I realize that she had to have some equipment to work with, but the final product speaks volumes of the direction given.

I agree with "ragdump", if you will go to her videos, "goldchamp71", that were done of the TBN shows, especially the interviews, then you will understand just how well Bianca has a grasp on the true meaning of her music. She takes all of her gospel songs very seriously and sings them with a passion which is outstanding for such a young lady.

Last night I listened to a hour long radio interview with Bianca and I can tell you Bianca has a total grasp on what she sings and talks about even the woman interviewing Bianca was impressed by her,she said she had never interviewed anyone younger than about 25 and she couldn't believe how articulate Bianca was,in fact I think Bianca was better than the person interviewing her,I think Bianca could have done the show better

I agree, "animeflowergurl". It is called "belting" and is a carry over from the old Vaudeville days and the early days of the Broadway shows when the performers did not have the kind of audio systems that are in use today. Without belting, the singers would not have been heard throughout the entire theatre. Bianca uses it to project the power in her voice. Any over modulations of her voice during the loud passages are the fault of the engineer at the audio control board.
