Reverse contingencies. When a child does this instantly walk away out of his sight. Then when he behaves, walk back in and hug him. The way it is now the child has the parents trained. Biting himself, vomiting, screaming are nice ways to make parents do his bidding.
My son Justin does almost the same thing. He slams his head into the wall. Really hard too. It must be a family trait because I used to do it too when I was his age. He doesn't do it as much anymore. Now he just gives me this look that says, You're a mean Daddy. I usually give in and he climbs in my lap and he'll put his head on my chest and my heart just totally melts. He still loves me
