I'm looking to buy an iPod touch, can anyone tell me if i can use this instead of iTunes on Linux (Installation is Mandriva 2008 and KDE is involved somewhere)?

I would be careful b4 using any of the newer gen ipods (classic, touch etc. 5.5 gen and below is fine) i have had some trouble with them in the past specifically with the classic ipods.

ipod touch doesnt work without iTunes since the ipod doesnt have disk mode which was how the songs were transferred without itunes

Can't wait for it. I'm currently using xfce and not planning to go back to KDE or GNOME in a while, but I'm sure it will look as good in my desktop :D

Once KDE4 becomes stable enough to be defaults in KDE-based distros, I can't wait to use this. Seriously, it's beautiful.

Also, I hope the Windows port looks this good.

This a a pre release version of Amarok2 ( A KDE4 application ) running in a KDE 3.5.7 session.
