Sheet music is available free download at my channel. Please bump this messege so everyone can see and download the sheet! nice piano players BTW. great song.
@elvira1710 Thanks for the interest, yes it is acoustic and runs on a system of air bellows, originally air was supplied by peddle power which is still an option, but now the air comes in via an electric air pump, it's a bit noisy but once started the piano tends to play over the noise of the pump.
Can't help but think of Young Frankenstein's take; "OOOPA DOOOPA!!!"
Thank you for all the videos you've done!
side note:
craig9843 posts about finding these pianos. The answer is surprisingly simple; explore the craig's list in your area... I was able to find many player pianos in my area for sale on the cheap. Few were restored but that's were the fun lies! :) Sometimes you can get them flat-out free, just keep the ever watchful eye out and get someone to inspect it beforehand!
I don't know where you live, but here in Oregon we restore and sell these pianos and the music rolls. See Mechanical Music Digest online for player pianos near you.
It's simple. First, save the video using a website like keepvid, either .flv or high quality .flv (preferable) Then use a program like AoA audio extractor to turn your downloaded flv files into mp3s.
Every time I pass by the Ritz, on Piccadilly I check-out their lightbulb sign, which says THE RITZ; in anticipation of some light bulbs being fused, and the sign saying something else like THE PITZ !
Thanks for the kind words, but as far as purchasing the piano, I'm flattered that you want it, and I guess one day it will be sold, but for now do I enjoy looking after it, so I must decline your kind offer.
You may also want to reflect on the logistics and the shipping of such a machine from its present home here in the UK.
the AEolian Pianola was no ordinary player piano. It (like the rival Ampico) was a reproducing piano which not only played the notes but also reproduced the dynamics (louds and softs and inbetweens) pressures varied automatically as coded into the margins of the special aeolian duo-art and ampico rolls- you will hear that the theme is always louder than the acompaniment- listen for cresendos- szfortdando accents - its an amazing machine- pure genius
Takes me back to a time when the music existed on it's own merit. These players made it acessable to the masses, as they could play w/o learning piano. The best thing is that there need be no voices.
Another one I'll need for my collection!

you can save this video and strip the audio from it, you know.
blakewind 3 years ago
How does that work? I'd love to save this as well as other videos for the audio. Can you please explain how it can be accomplished.

OK...Thanks, I have 2 players with the Simplex units in them. Theyre easy to work on. The one is a Lexington, the other is an Andrew Kohler.
