This is probably a stupid question but, If we stop killing cows wont there be more methane being produced? I am going to try to be a VEGETARIAN. What about organic farming? Is that bad for the environment too?
Supply and demand. The higher the demand for flesh, the higher the number of animals bred and raised to meet that demand. The less flesh people eat the fewer animals are brought into existence. Non-existent cows do not produce methane.
i agree but i believe tht god doesnt want us to eat vegetables either ... i believe tht he made grasses and plants for the animals to eat... and he made us fruits for us to eat :)
Egg and dairy industries are still animal agriculture. In fact the animals are kept alive a few years longer before slaughter so they actually contribute MORE to global warming. Avoid ALL animal agriculture and animal exploitation. Try vegan!
I completely agree with the contents of this video by Supreme Master TV. The only solution to save our home planet and its habitants is to become vegetarian. clara Madrigal B
Vegan. ALL animal agriculture contributes to global warming. Cows exploited for their breast milk fart too! And they are alive a few years longer before being killed so they contribute to global warming even more.
The only solution for the environment (and the least we can do to be moral non-violent people) is being vegan.

Read Genesis. It says that in the Garden of Eden, everyone ate plants.
It was not the Slaughterhouse of Eden.
Anyways, I wouldn't go by the bible. The bible also promotes slavery, spousal abuse, child abuse, rape, murder, homophobia, and sexism.

Ah I shouldn't reply when tired, lol. I see now that you were claiming the bible promotes a fruititarian diet, not a meaty diet.
Still, I wouldn't use the bible to justify anything, since you could also use it to justify many horrible cruelties.
(According to the bible I should be stoned to death for being bisexual!)
