  • Airport near a beach.. Not the best idea in the world..

  • Do 737 winglets have rudders to help the aircraft turn?

  • @n310ea The rudder is to help the aircraft turn, The winglets believe it or not are there to help stabilize the aircraft and balance airflow over the wing. They actually help save fuel over the long run of the flight as well because of the extra stability.

  • That's definitely a Boeing 737

    Awesome :)

  • Iloveeethiss videoo ! =D

  • Stupid tourist pooped out there brains!!

  • One BEAUTIFUL bird!

  • Haha, well I think they learned their lesson, bueatiful climb by the plane btw.

  • What's the registration?

  • @egpo24 N15712

  • @020808 beautiful footage, how was your trip to hong kong and tokyo recently.

  • @020808 that seemed you have to use a lot of trigonometry knowing your angle of elevation when taking off with those mountain peaks and altitudes.

  • "That'll teach you to sneak up on me ya jerks!" XD owned

  • did that plane almost fall into the water

  • Ca souffle

  • @TonyMcGriffles ^5 x 2 lmao.

  • Continental Airlines RULES !!!! United SUCKS.

I hope the "merger" fails and United goes bye bye forever.

  • Jeepers - nice steep terrain at the end there! Must be a seriously limiting rwy! Anyone have FOS tables for it?

  • i feel so bad for them

  • wrong that is boeing 737-700 (800) not 757 because the 757 is more large than the 737

  • LOL

  • HAHAH

  • I've seen this happen on Americas Funniest Home Videos at least 20 times now...and it never gets old :P. I want to go to St. Maarten just to get blown into the ocean!

  • i think its not dangerous...

  • lol That would never be allowed in the US.

  • I thought this beach was closed?

  • I fucking hope it isn't. I want to spot at SXM if I ever get the chance to fly down there.

  • @Bosniansupamanxx ne, ovaj beach je uvek bio otvoren... ja mislim da je jednom bio neki warning, sta ja znam,,, ali ne, ovo je veliko tourist mesto

  • Oy... get over yourself. Those people chose to go there themselves, no one is forcing them to go there you know. They wanted to experience the jet blast, let them..

  • @tomtalker2000 Because it's fun! It's an experience no words can describe! My friend works for a company that sells blast fences and they've been trying for YEARS to sell one to the airport. The airport keeps saying no because the tourists LOVE it and is one of the reasons people fly out and visit! I wouldn't have visited if there was a blast fence and it blocked my view of the planes landing!

  • No it's just when cars see a plane landing or taking off they stop because they have signs saying "be careful of arriving or departing aircraft" I've been there many times

  • so uhm i noticed that there aren't any cars that drive by when a plane leaves (ive seen other vids similar to this)..does the CT notify the pilots when they can go if theres no cars? anyone?

  • looks hilarious!! i wanna go there on holiday just to do that!!!!! =D

  • same here

  • lmao

  • Maybe they wanted to get blown into the water, lol!

  • That's the power of Continental Airlines!!!! :-)

  • wouldnt it make sense to take off from the other end....duh?

  • no wind direction plays a huge factor

  • Not that simple...

  • Wow, I cannot believe how powerful those engines are, that even people who are 100 feet away are blown into the water.

  • Haha next time he should sit there with the parking brake on and 100% N1!!! :-)

  • yep thats my island,ST MARTIN for ever !!!!!

we do that for fun all the time!!!!

hurts like hell but its super fun lol

  • Wow!!!!!

  • it's amazing that the continental jet travels all the way down from newark, nj and then travels all the way back up within two hours.

  • where exactly is st marteen?

  • It is in the Caribbean. It is an island split between the Dutch and French. St. Maarten is Dutch and St. Martin is French.

  • Ok, thanks

  • @albertofranco14 its St. maarten

  • LOL Good video.

  • Just curious, when was this taken? My hubby and I were there on March 4th and he was blown into the water, but we don't have a video of it!

  • This was taken in late Noverber

  • @P40BH No, that is a Continental Airlines 737-700. The 757 looks nothing like the plane above at least to me. All of Continental Airlines narrow body planes have winglets now. 757-300 were the last to get them. All 737-500, 700s, 800s, and 900s have winglets as well as the 757-200 and 300s.

  • @P40BH No Way In Hell Thats A 757

  • Comment removed

  • @P40BH HAHAHAHAHAHA ur funny! The only airplanes in Continental's entire fleet that don't have Winglets are already equipped with Wingrakes -> 777-2s & 767-4s. And their 767-2s probably will get winglets sometime in the future when they test them out.. cause only -300s got Winglets right now.

  • @P40BH it is clearly a 737 look at the Height, rudder , non-circular engine inlets and cockpit windows

  • Comment removed

  • @P40BH Are you kidding me? That isn't even remotely close to a 757, and I don't know where you are finding your information, probably Wikipedia or something. Don't post stuff like that unless your sure. It's annoying.

  • @P40BH your a douche bag!!! 757 have round engines and are alot bigger!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @P40BH and, I'm 13 but that doesnt make any difference.... if you don't know what it is then don't argue that you know!!!

  • @P40BH Its a 737-700WL ! 757s' are Long

  • Comment removed

  • @P40BH Your fucking stupid HAHAHAHA

  • Comment removed

  • @P40BH when did 757s get only 4 wheels on the mains ????

  • @P40BH you are an aviation FAIL my friend

  • Comment removed

  • @P40BH Sure AF

  • @P40BH No, this is a 737, and this doesn't come close to a 757. Plus the 57 is larger than the 37, and the 737 range have had winglets for quite some time now

  • @P40BH Wrong, it is a 737-700, you can tell by the shape of the fuselage, and engines. 757 engines are totally circular, the 737-700 has non-circular engines.

  • @P40BH its a 737 dude

  • Nice!! I want to be also there!!
