i have an old minolta lens i got with my stsi maxxum. although the lens does not work with my sony a350. when i attach the lens it says shutter is locked. any idea why it does not work? is there any settings i need to change for it to be compatible.
Hi... This is only when yopu are using sony automatic flashes... This means that you shift to TTL mode fore metering with the flash instead of ADI mode. ADI mode stands for automatic distance integration and instead of the lens metering on the light it reads it sets itself for a distance read by the lens. Understand?
Ok, this first part offered me a good intro to the subject. I'm just about to buy an a450 and I'm already looking for better lenses (becauses as far as I can see, the kit lens is somewhat soft). So this gave a good starting point.
interesting at first, because i'm a MInolta Dynax-user. It tends to get a bit technical, but I think you explain yourself really well. People have to take in consideration that this is a somewhat more photogeek-oriented film. I love it though, thanks.

@illskillz05 go to settings on the menu, then on shutter lock turn off and on to "off no lens".
