Sue Zecco and Jay Scruggs are two of the best groomers in the world, she is not being careless. You have to get the hairs that are growing around the eyes so that they don't grow into the eyes. Also with Shih Tzus, you have to keep the area around their eyes clean and clear to prevent infections.

The groomer does "not" seem careless. I have groomed for 32 years, if you groom for a long time, you are very comfortable with your equipment, etc. She is using thinning shears, what I use too.

@justxboredx3 I can if I want to. I groom them everyday. and that's rather short to put in a top knot, a lot will just stick out.
