Wow! The polar ice is melting, will be gone soon and we have people who still deny that this is happening and want children to be spared the scare? I was asking a friend on Sunday where parents would tell their children that Santa lives when the polar ice is gone. Maybe they would say he had moved to Florida or the Bahamas. Wow! The polar ice is melting, will be gone soon and we have people who still deny that this is happening and want children to be spared the scare? I was asking a friend on Sunday where parents would tell their children that Santa lives when the polar ice is gone. Maybe they would say he had moved to Florida or the Bahamas. Of course Santa is a myth. But the melting of polar ice and of glaciers around the world is not.

Plus, the MWP was warmer than it is now for a couple hundred years, (when you look at more than one tree in Siberia)

The so called "Record Arctic Ice-Pack Lows/Minimums" of the past few Summers, are a direct result of a warm oceanic current segment, and that segment will be out of the Arctic within a few years.

There was above normal temperatures for the month of December 2009. The fear is that atmospheric pressure patterns are changing in mid-latitudes and in the Arctic, due to the buildup of green house gases, and may have a lot to do with the temperature anomalies we are seeing.
