@jelly222345 Near was raised in Wammy's house as a successor to L. He is not related. In fact, I don't think they ever actually met in the anime. Fanart likes to depict them together though. However, Near and Mello both held a very high respect and admiration for L, though Near's was a bit more obsessive.
