The new layout us utter garbage and now they are starting to use HTML5 for videos instead of Flash where you have NO PLAYBACK CONTROLS and you can't view in FULLSCREEN.. you have no idea how LONG the video is or if it played 100% or got STUCK.. NO INFO .. WTF ?!

If they must hide it (there is no compelling reason in small screen mode) each button should still work in the same location even when the graphics for the bar are hidden. As a general rule, the use of timers in user interfaces is more likely to make them worse than better.

Remember when you saw a comment, and there were thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons, incl. a reply button, flag for spam button etc. directly in your eyesight? And you could easily tell how many thumbs-downs (negative ratings) a comment has, during the good old days of Youtube. Now you can't. There's this "This comment has recieved too many negative votes" bullshit! And if you want to reply, vote, delete a comment etc., you have to roll over a comment and do the actions you want! THAT is bullshit!

I am rather new to utube. I hope someone will answer me. I have watched many videos and none address my problem. On my Subcription page I am getting lots, and lots, and lots of videos. I can't find a way to delete the ones I don't want to see. I can only hit a "Play" button. I don't want to watch a season of Bewitched, but I like that Channel for other things. I don't want to Unsubscribe, but I do want to be able to delete videos. Any help is appreciated!

Even comments section sucks. You never know what page someone is addressing, so you end up scrolling through 30 pages trying to find what they are replying to... who runs youtub... monkeys?
@sarevor you could just open the "view all comments" in a new tab, and then press ctrl F, and then type in the name of the person it is adressed to... no?

I like the idea of Highest Rated Comments and Uploaders Comments but I hate everything else about this new layout. And they made the "Other videos by this user" list invisible to advertise big channels. And they said the "Like and dislike is more efficient" which is complete bullshit, the 5 star rating system was good, you could rate it 5 for excellent, 4 for good, 3 for alright, 2 for bad and 1 for poo now all you have is like or dislike.
I don't know what exactly has changed, but I'm getting MUCH less views than I had before, even though I had significantly fewer subscribers. And I think it happened around the time they introduced this "thumbs up/down" system. Is there anyone else to whom that happened too?

We have to watch a 30 sec comercial like every 10 videos, and then theres another at the end and in case you didnt see those the ad bar pops up like 3 or 4 times during a video. I like the idea of Highest Rated Comments and Uploaders Comments but I hate everything else about this new layout. And they made the "Other videos by this user" list invisible to advertise big channels. And they said the "Like and dislike is more efficient" which is complete bullshit, the 5 star rating system was good, you could rate it 5 for excellent, 4 for good, 3 for alright, 2 for bad and 1 for poo now all you have is like or dislike.

Technically you can still rate with stars if you have the old YouTube app for iPhone!iPod touch, which I have and can read what people rated in it.

I don't know what exactly has changed, but I'm getting MUCH less views than I had before, even though I had significantly fewer subscribers. And I think it happened around the time they introduced this "thumbs up/down" system. Is there anyone else to whom that happened too?

I still hate the YouTube page, it hasn't grown on me at all. This still sucks, and the amount of adverts nowadays means we may as well go to another service. Ever thought why Vimeo is doing so well?

if they separate the buttons then google and yt cant track ur activity. its all about tracing ur habits...not giving YOU content you like and supporting causes, etc. its about creating an algorhythym that supports 'base habits'. this is not for honest purposes since yt was bought by google. its an algorhythymic tool based on the machiavellian theory of mass control. im no conspracy theorist but ive done research and if its not MADE FOR that purpose,it CAN and likely will be used in that manner.

I'm tired of all the God damn comercials! We have to watch a 30 sec comercial like every 10 videos, and then theres another at the end and in case you didnt see those the ad bar pops up like 3 or 4 times during a video. Anfd then theres the same ad window just left of the video screen!!! I'm fealing smotherd!!! And now they have this automatic pop up at the last like 4 seconds of the video wich cuts the video short!!! PISSES ME OFF!!!
