I also noticed there quite a few of African-American police at Candlestick Park during their last concert. They also toured with many Black and Hispanic artists. I think Joan Baez was a friend back then. There are rumors she once had a fling with George. Who knows? That clause in their concert was radical back then! Frank Sinatra also stood up to racism in the 40's. I even read that screen legend Myrna Loy spoke about the racism minority actors faced. They were trailblazers.
The flight attendant looks African-American, that was nice of Paul I think to shake her hand upon departing. There were a few minority flight attendants in the 60's.
@cherrypop1771 Actually, the Beatles included in a clause in their contracts that said that they refused to play in front of a segregated crowd. They were pretty awesome!
George and Paul were the sexpots! George had beautiful wavy hair and damn, he was fine! Beatles made the scene at Shea 8-15-1965 when it was the Dodge Dart Rebellion!
@scarvesonguitars there's good music now, just look at Arcade Fire for example, and we still live in the age of Radiohead and lots of other great bands, don't be so despairing, you know how lame you sound with the "oh it's better this way, he doesn't have to be alive for the music of the 2000s"? (btw, it's not the 2000s anymore). cheer up for christ sakes. Why don't you go make some music yourself, upload it on your channel I'll check it out if you do.
@VideoByPatrick Brian Epstein started to blame Derek Taylor for every little thing that went wrong on tour. Derek had enough and had a row with Brian and stormed off. Derek said he "quit". After Brian died, the Beatles hired Derek back in 1968 to be Apple's press officer.
@observer9670 I thought John was the only Beatle that was pro Derek and Derek did all of John's promos for the Canadian bed sit in interviews. I talked with Bill Harry, John's school buddy and editor of Echo in Liverpool and he said John was very down to earth and nice guy. John liked newpaper people and liked Derek and Bill for that reason. It would not have surprised me if John had actually got Eppy to hire Derek in the first place.
LOL, john was so funny! he knew exactly how to handle the press. that was a stupid statement for the guy to make, so john answered him with a stupid funny answer! love john!!!!
Ringo's eye, wtf lol
