Thanks man, I struggled with this until seeing how short of a score (1/2") and that you apply just one drop of water and stab that with the molten glob. Before I was scoring around the tube a third of the way, wetting most of it, and going "wtf". :-) Cheers

hello I have a quick question, how could I cut a 1/4" off the end of an 18mm glass downstem?

cool man have you seen the other way to cut thick glass with yarn and lighter fluid? anyways are you a dead haed that makes bongs and pipes if so show your work

Thats a neat trick with the water, i usually score a line into it and than bust it over my knee, home made kilns scare me though i wouldnt know what i was doing @_@ .....

dude, kilns are so expensive and i already sunk sooo much into the torch and shop equipment, I still need a kiln. Do you recomend me make one ? If so is there ca plan i can get ? thanks.

this is what i do too, except i never thought of dabbin the water on the score.

i score it, place the blob on the score then give my ribs a good beatin till it breaks haha.
