I'll admit to being a hipster and liking Instagram. I like that it's easy and instantly gratifying, and doesn't require a lot of thought. It's silly and kind of dumb and self-absorbed, but it's fun.

I've got an iPhone & Instagram & I don't automatically think I'm a photographer, lol. I just like the way the filters make my photos look but I don't go around telling everyone I have this new skill. People always assume that just coz iPhone users use Instagram that they MUST assume they're photographers too.. Well I have it, I use it, but I don't claim that I'm this fantastic new photographer lol.

For those of you that have an Android phone try "Camera 360" it has great filters and effects. I took photography for 7 years and to be honest using an app doesn't mean your instantly a great photographer. But taking a great picture does require that you have some idea of proportions, lighting and so on. I've seen some Instagram photos that sucked big time.

I don't really like instagram I downloaded it && deleted it right away...it's nothing special really...one of my faves are piccollage cause you get to make collages && save them as your wallpaper && stachematic cause you get to add mustaches to your pics (YAY!!! (^_^) )

& guys you have to edit the pictures yourself. try different apps. instagram only provides filters & tiltshift. nothing fancy. if you're using it for filters only then... there is no point of getting it.

I don't see the effects on it that good, well really they're a bit tacky looking. And I don't find it that interesting, if you already have Dailybooth or something then there really isn't much point in you getting it. But I use both all the same.

What I don't get about instagram is when people post their pictures and are all "NO FILTER" as if they took an awesome photo. Isn't the point of instagram to use a filter? Well, that's the only reason why I use it. LOL
