  • Montana greatly opposes the public option.

  • Next the taxpayers should pay for your cell phone?

  • Next you'll want us to pay for your cell phone. Marxism doesn't work, dude.

  • @dtpac This isn't the same as a fucking cellphone, you smug heartless bastard, and helping someone with a heart defect they were born with through no fault of their own with is not Marxism; it's COMPASSION.

  • Move to Canada man....

  • Max is to busy having a cold one..... It's pathetic lobbyists for the insurance companies won again.... NO PUBLIC OPTION..... Makes me sick... I feel sorry for so many Americans....

  • You can tell if somebody is a socialist liar by the fact that they will try to redefine it and then say it's never been tried before in it's pure form. It's been tried and failed miserably in too many countries to count.

    SOCIALISM = FAIL

  • if you are right im sure you will be willing to give me an example of one country. like i said i am not redefining anything. it is a fact that socialism is based on employee owned corporations not government owned corporations. you are right that the bullshit model that has been used did fail and is a horrable model, but it is not the ORIGINAL or even practical form.

  • LOL, bold progressives.

Like Obama, who's so bold that he can't even stand up to Ahmadinijhad.

  • They do not profit from denying coverage to people like you. If you had bought insurance BEFORE you knew you had this condition you wouldn't have been denied. But now it's the insurance companies fault? Bullshitt. Trying to blame your shortsightedness on somebody else seems to be the American way now. Blame the EVIL CORPORATIONS! Not yourself for waiting until it was too late.

Personal responsibility must be a dead idea.

  • we are virtually the only industrialized nation that does not have socialized healthcare, yet our government spends twice as much on it because of the innefficiency of going through the private secter. it is becoming obvios that our government cares more about corporate proffit than the health of its people. many jobs do not offer healthcare and with wages lower than 30 years ago how can you expect people to pay $1000 a month for healthcare. and drugs cost twice as much as any other country.

  • @rokeeter

Keep buying foreign made cars and complain abut your standard of living. Keep buying Made in China and tell me that.

Turn off your cable tv and internet and get one phone like people had 30 years ago and stop using so much electricity and come back to me and tell me how you just can't afford anything while you sit and play Nintendo.

How much is that internet connection you're using?

How about you stop mandating pregnancy coverage for SINGLE MEN in every insurance policy?

  • Not sure what you mean by your rant and rave but your assumptons of me are wrong. I drive a ford, i do not buy chinese goods and refuse to shop at wallmart because of there policy on chinese goods. i do not have cable or a nintendo. I read books and newspapers. why is it you wackos only attack people personally even when you do not know them. as for not mandating pregnancy coverage for single men, yes that makes complete sense, but why are you telling me.

  • @rokeeter

Sure you do, And I'm six foot six and slam dunk basketballs on Michael Jordan for fun. Why is it that you whackos can't enjoy being American? Why do you want to be like Europe. Do you know that if it weren't for us they would be speaking German right now? It's time to tell people like you where to stick it. I LIKE being independent of government control of my life. If you don't then MOVE TO EUROPE damn you!

  • @unbubba. once again you are making assumptions. I do enjoy being an american, i also enjoy my house, if i make improvements to my house than does than mean i hate my house? another assumption is that i want government controle, which is far from the truth. i am a liberatarian socialist, i will not describe what that is because it would be good for you to do some research for yourself and there is plenty of text about the subject. I also do not like the european model.

  • Oh boy, a weenie who thinks that redefining socialism in other verbage makes it different. IT'S Socialism!

I think it would do you some good to watch something besides some frigging purple dinosaur farting about the joys of being a drone!

ALL SOCIALISM IS A MERE STEP TOWARD COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP.

Get this through your sheeple mind.

I'll bet you joined the Coffee party didn't you? Sanka suckers unite!

  • its not redefining socialism you ignorant fuck. why is everything so cut and dry with you? why do you assume that socialism is stalinism? seriously dude read about socialism. there has not been a true socialist country yet. having a authoritarian government ruins everything socialism stands for. i love how you added dictatorship because it has nothing to do with communism. do you think Iraq was a good example of democracy?

  • @rokeeter

Some things ARE cut and dried you stupid schmuck. In one post above you say that the Soviets were not classic socialists and then define it in the next post by quoting Marx.

    YOU ARE PWNED!

  • Have you read marx? obviously not because if you had you would see the soviets did not follow his model. lennon had more influence on russia.

  • I don't know about Marx and LENIN?

You are getting John Lennon and Vladimir Lenin confused and you try to tell ME I don't know what socialism is?

    Massive FAIL!!!!!!

  • i did not get them mixed up allthough they both claim to be socialist, my bad for the spelling mistake yet i dont know what that has to do with the subject. well if you know lenin that he put his own spin on socialism. nuff said.

  • democracy is not possable under capitalism, we are an oligarchy. our counrty is controled by the elite. both democrats and republicans serve the corporation and not the people.

socialism has nothing to do with dictatorship.

go on wikipedia, its that simple. then if you dont beleave me still read. just because russia, china, north korea, and cuba call themselves communist does not mean they are. by definition and according to karl marx they are not.

  • @rokeeter

Wikipedia is run by scum like you. Socialist dirtbags with nothing better to do than sit around all day in mommy's basement promoting stealing money from the productive at the point of a gun and giving it to the lazy.

  • well i figured seeing as how you obviously do not like to read, wikipedia would be a good choice. i would tell you to read marx but that is a big load for a small mind.

  • A big load of shit.

  • It is not me that is redefining socialism it is you. russia redefind socialism when they called themselves socialist. now instead of you actually researching socialism you take the sheepish way out by saying "russia was traditional socialism, and all other socialism is redefining it." allthough liberatarian socialism is older than "communist" russia. you are uneducated on the subject so either rationally debate with me on theory or give up, because debating facts does not suit you.

  • @rokeeter

Go fuck yourself you dirtbag propagandist. I don't need to debate a liar.

  • your calling me a propogandist but im stating facts your spreading a conveniant ignorance.

  • Let me know when you've read enough Lenin to actually spell his fucking name right. Dork.

  • Senator Max Baucus should be be 'accountable' to all Americans'. As the new health care reform legislation bill stands or sits.., it does 'not' have the following for "all" Americans'. 'No' public option, 'no' lower cost Medicare Plan B, 'no' lowering of age to apply or qualify for Medicare and 'no' lowering of income per year to apply or qualify for Medicaid. This new health care reform bill is a 'joke' and the 'joke' is on us..

  • The American Government does not belong in the Health Insurance business.

Create a health department that is free and mimic our judicial system, where you will get a lawyer for free if you can not afford one. That way, this man would get his health care, and capitalism, not socialism, would still reign in America.

    Problem solved.

  • and who pays for it? I'm for the PO, but your plan is so full of holes its sad.

  • So you believe our judicial system if full of holes?

  • a free lawyer is a bit different then free health care. Where yes, our tax dollars do pay for their checks. There is more to pay for then just the doctors. you need to run tests, countless tests. There are meds that need to be paid for. There are devices that are expensive to buy, and even more expensive to run. Some of them, need to be run 24 hours a day.

  • Yes, but also considering that you can not sue the government, then you would be relieved of frivolous lawsuits.

This would cost a lot of money, but universal health care does that. At least, this way, the government would not have to pay for everybody. There can still be private insurance and doctors, capitalism stays in tact. The richest can afford the best doctors, and the poor at least can get a doctor. Right now the rich get the best doctor, and the poor have nothing.

  • yes, you can sue the government, it happens all the time.

  • Generally, a sovereign government cannot be sued unless it allows itself to be sued. In the United States, Congress has passed the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) allowing the U.S. government to be sued for the tortious negligence of its employees that causes personal injury or property damage.

So the patients could not sue.

  • So without fear of lawsuits, the need to give optimum care is diminished completely, and nobody is really taken care of.

  • Actually, no.

Because if you work hard, and become very good at what you do, then you could move into the private sector, where you could make a WHOLE LOT more $. Welcome to capitalism.

BUT, Obama, on the other hand, wants a socialist system, where it does not matter if you are the best, or the worst, you get paid the same. Or at least, that is all the "government option" is going to pay. THAT would cause care to diminish completely.

So thank you for bringing up that point, it is the clear-

  • clearest and most notable difference between Obama's Public Option, which will lead to a Single Payer System, or my plan, which is based on American values, and resembles the way Americans do things.

  • that BS you just spewed made no sense. All you did was say "my plan will work because America is amazing" SHOW me how it resembles how America works.

And what is wrong with a single payer system? The top 1% of America is richer then all of the lower 99% COMBINE!

And how do they get this rich? By abusing the system and buying our government so it can work for them at the cost of all of us.

If they want to play the game like that, then the least they can do is keep their pawns healthy.

  • "SHOW me how it resembles how America works"

Do you have memory problems? It is based on America's Judicial System.

"And what is wrong with a single payer system?"

Socialism. Universal Health Care does not have to be based on Socialism.

"And how do they get this rich?"

    jealous?

..."least they can do is keep their pawns healthy."

You must live under the delusion that money makes a better life. Remember Kurt Cobain?

  • Your plan doesn't work, you live with this idea that there aren't greedy people. There will always be people who find and even make loop holes so they can get ahead of everybody else. I noticed you didn't bother to quote me on the 1% of America being richer then the 99% below it. That's sick, and wrong. It would be different if they made it with hard work, but they didn't, they made it by mowing down everybody behind them. Also, taxes aren't Socialism, you pay your dues for living your life here

  • Actually, it is greed that drives capitalism. And what is wrong for looking for an advantage?

1% richer than the 99% below it. I guess that would make them the top 1%, lol. Why are you so jealous? I have a vehicle. By that alone, it puts me in the upper 50% of richest people in the WORLD!

Why are you so afraid of someone having something you don't? Do you not realize that after so much, it really doesn't make a difference?

    Let me explain.

I will use me and Donald Trump.

    Donald is that 1%.

  • When I go to work tomorrow, it will be in a new vehicle. When Donald goes to work tomorrow, it might have more bells and whistles, but it will just be a new vehicle like mine.

When I eat dinner, I will eat steak. When Donald has steak, might be made by a more expensive cook, but nonetheless, we will both be eating dead cow.

Donald goes to the hospital and gets the best doctors. Now, WITHOUT health insurance, hospitals will not turn you away, and I get a licensed doctor.

    No big difference.

  • you really are that stupid eh?

When Donald goes to the hospital, yes he gets the best, and that's because he's paying for the best. When the Doctor is being paid below standard, and with out risk of being sued, he is going to do a substandard job.

I don't fear people having more then me. But the economy is broken when the statistics are in that state. Ofcorse the top 1% is richer then the 1% below it. and its understandable to be richer then the bottom 30-35%, but not all 99%.

  • If he does a substandard job, he stays in a substandard job.

BUT, if he does a Great job on me, then next time, Donald may want him, because of his "Record". Just like a Public Defendant, if the person does a great job, ALL the private firms come knocking on their door. Only Capitalism has that potential for an upswing. Under Obama's plan, no matter how great or terrible their record is, they all get paid the same.

And there is a top to every pyramid. Don't envy it. Trust me.

    I have had-

  • a wonderful life experience in meeting and getting to know 1 man personally. He is a billionaire. I have met many millionaires, but he is the first billionaire.

Difference? Millionaire spends $1,000 a day, goes broke in 3 1/2 years. Billionaire spends $1,000 a day, goes broke in over 300 years. HUGE difference.

Anyways, the guy is smart, fairly normal, but CONSTANTLY people are asking something, wanting something, and it drives me crazy just being around him. I wouldn't want that life. What

  • good is having the best steak, if you can not eat in peace. What good is having the best car, when you do not have the time or the freedom to enjoy it. What good is it?

He has a son that is a playboy. Doesn't know what work is, and doesn't know how to take care of himself either. If the father dies, he will be broke within a year.

So what is your great tragedy for not having his life? Am I "stupid" because I am not brainwashed by tv to believe things and money bring happiness?

  • again, when I put a fact in front of your face, you ignore it and preach about how everything will be ok because money isn't important. Money is power, and the people with power are the ones who decide who gets to be happy. Its just that people who have most of the money and power don't like sharing.

As for the playboy you mention, no he wont be broke in a year, because there will always be people who are willing to handle his money for a cut of it. There will always be sleaze in the world.

  • Fact, lol?

I just gave you a first hand account of American reality, lol. I can provide empirical evidence. That is the fact.

  • and....?

Facts are nice when you can show evidence. So why haven't you given me any?

  • Facts is all you have received. Why are you purposely not acknowledging them?

  • They are only facts when you can show they are facts. Everything that you have said have been opinions, and what little that could have been considered facts have been twisted to the point where calling them a "half truth" would be giving them to much credit.

  • Let insurance companies compete across state lines. That at least would be a start! (I personally wouldn't trust the government to run MY families healthcare.)

  • You are a dumb hillbilly who needs to learn.

  • Bahhhh. Go be a good sheeple. Goooood sheeple. Libtards. Got to love em'

  • I hope someday your denied care ... then you will look back and realize what a dumb shit you've been .... funny how you right wing dummies think the system is ok when the proof is right in front of your eyes... OH BUT IT"S NOT HAPPENING TO YOU SO IT"S OK..... but once it does you'll be crying the blues like a little bitch ....

  • Well, I am going to assume that you meant "you're", and not your. A) Try to comment without swearing. I know being a wordsmith is probably not your cup of tea, but, just try. And how is that funny? And did I say the system was okay? Lots of things need to change. Tort reform being the first. I pay way too much for Health Care so people who don't work can get free care. See, there is another problem. Crying like a bitch? Like you...or is this just a whine?

  • Typical republican response.... CORRECT MY SPELLING.... LOL... maybe my spelling of "YOUR" changes the debate... DORK.... spelled................. D O R K ..... and for your information single payer which is ultimately the best method is NOT FREE... people all pay there share.... public option is the same thing basically people all pay... NOT FREE

  • Don't you hate when they do that, correct spelling. I had someone on your side do that to me couple of weeks ago.

  • People pay their share, not there. And if only that was true. Then we wouldn't have an issue. I know I pay my fair share. I am sure I pay your share as well. And I love how you phrase things...people "basically" all pay. Yaaaa. Noooo. They don't. Back to the herd my sheeple. There is nothing to see here.

  • HUH? What the hell good would private insurance companies crossing state lines do?... there still gonna raise costs and deny people care in there time of need to save money... PRIVATE insurance companies do not belong in health care PERIOD .... there always gonna cut corners to increase profit and deny care to save BIG money ... crossing state lines is worthless...

  • Then keep your private insurance ... no one is forcing you to leave your current provider... in the mean time the American people want the CHOICE between a government option and a private option ... THAT WAY prices will come down ... that's the only way to stop the private insurance companies from RAPING the American people ... like they have been for years....

  • Call your congressmen ..... people it can make a difference SO DO IT..... speak up... have your voice heard.... Max Baucus DOES NOT CARE about you or me... SO WE NEED to care about each other and stand up .... American needs a public option!!!!! without it the insurance companies will continue to raise costs and screw over American families.....

  • Here are the Democrats blocking the public option:

    Max Baucus (Mont)

    Blanche Lincoln (Ark)

    Bill Nelson (FL)

    Tom Carper (Del)

    Kent Conrad (ND)

All of them must be personally targeted for selling out the people for their own gain. Shame on them all.

  • Max Baucus should be targeted for removal

  • Ready to demonstrate now?

WE are the change. Let's get that through our skulls.

Off the couch and paint some signs. Call your reps and start acting like the boss.

  • Is this the change we voted for? Dems selling them selves to the highest bidder.... seems like more of the same. I left the green party for this. My rep. Tim Walz - Mn, is now backing out of the public option. Lets go down the list. We are still in Iraq and Afghanistan. No one has been prosecuted for illegal wiretapping, torture, or abuse of power (executive or judicial). No new laws to regulate wall street. Job market is the worst it has ever been in 23 years. . Genocide in Dafur. Change?

  • Max Baucus has sold out the needs of the American people for the insurance industry's profits.

  • Thank you for posting this. Unfortunately, Max Baucus has won. At the bidding of the insurance companies, he successfully blocked inclusion of the public health option in the bill he wrote. Not only that, but all Americans will now be forced to buy private insurance, whether they want to or not. That's right; 46 million new forced customers, with no vote or say. Billions more into the insurance companies' pockets, in return for four million dollars in bribes. Not a bad return...

  • Comment removed

  • This is sad. I am sorry that this had to be made. Baucus is a disgrace. He stuffs his pockets. Montana remains poor, The country gets closer to joining the ramks of the Third World. To be against reform is to be against the long term interests of the country. If we don't have the talent in the US to design and run a world class health care system then why don't we invite those that are doing it to come and help?

  • awesome ad, once he got to the part about Baucus being bought out. More people need to know.

  • We should hold Baucus and all the other democrats who vote against a public option responsible. We should vote them all out of office next election. I'm going to stop my donations to the democrats until I see some of the real change we were promised.

  • The real question dopcrapgreen is have you no shame? Have you no compassion?

You don't know the circumstances of his insurance woes? Maybe his employer didn't offer insurance.

Noone can be denied treatment in the US.

  • You don't know that. He could be in this situation as follows:

    1) get diagnosed

    2) lose job

    3) now no one will give him insurance

That's why 47,000 people a year, as per Harvard's recent study, die as a result of health insurance practices.

Precisely what happened to this guy could easily happen to you and your "all caps" style and 2nd grade spelling and grammar errors indicate that you may already have a pre-existing condition.

  • I understand what you are saying, but you are missing one key element and that is that this poor guy and his family are stuck with over $100,000 in medical bills. How is this man going to provide for his familiy when he is in the hole for 100 grand? It is good that he was able to get the heart surgery that he needed, but now his family is in financial ruin. People should not have suffer financial ruin in order to get life saving surgery, not in the United States of America.

  • So what

I'm paying a $2,000 dentl bill. Why shouldn't heart surgery cost more?

  • Comment removed

  • dogcrapgreen, first of all, why would anyone listen to someone with your username? Secondly, why do you think writing in ALL CAPS is convincing? Third, you are either a liar, or completely paranoid. How exactly is the "free market" going to "fix" this man? By waiting for this costly person to die, like the ins. co. I work for does every day? That's right, baby; I will probably be the one writing YOU a "letter of denial" soon. Now don't you feel cared for by the "free market"?

  • Comment removed

  • theygunaHATEME and solarhigh you guys are just plain hateful. I would hope that nothing happens to you both where you have to rely on people to help you. I thought USA was a Christian Nation and you help out your neighbors? Republicans states that they are Christians. What happened to the GOLDEN RULE? When things are good, no one wants to help a neighbor out. Health Reform with Public Option will help those who cannot afford their health care, just like MEDICARE AND MEDICAID, IDIOTS!!!

  • we gave the dems both houses of congress & the whitehouse to pass reform, there will be no reform without the public option, without it cost wont go down, healthcare will still be the leading cause of bankruptcies & tens of millions will still be un/undercovered, all because these 'blue dogs' have received millions from big biz, we need to let these sell outs know that we'll vote them out in the primary or not vote for them in the general, whats the difference anyway between them & the repubs?

  • Max Baucus - The Fox in charge of the Hen House when it comes to putting HIM in charge of the Single Payer Healthcare bill.

And Obama trusts Baucus? Good Grief!

  • Yeah, why are the most conservative democrats, predominantly from small population states, in charge of this bill? WTF? Didn't the democrats win a large majority, campaigning on reform? So, Baucus, counting the 3 million he got from the Health industry on his abacus, is going to represent the common man? Again, WTF?

  • So film a reply with typical fear, hate and misinformation like we always get from the right.

  • the reason they even had the technologie to treat your fucking problem is the insurence companys took that evil PROFIT and invented new ways to save lives, kill yourself hypocrite

  • Max Baucus got 3.7% of his 10 million in campaign funds from HMO's or people who work for them, 3.3% from hospitals or people working there. He got 5% from health care professionals, but that group isn't particularly opposed to govt run health care. He got about 6% from insurance companies and top managers at them, and about 5% of his funds from pharmaceuticals, but they've come out in support of the plan! And we don't know that all the invidual donors listed under these headings are opposed.

  • kiss my ass and you need to pray nothing like that happens to your dumb ass cause no one would ever help an ass like like you!did I say ass?You need a mentor find a real man!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow, good stuff. People like the above guy, who don't have health insurance not because of their wastefulness but because they just don't have enough money to cover their needs should be helped by the rest of us, after their family and friends pay as much as they can, not via the govt though.

  • Nice ad and I think Baucus should be held accountable.

  • Hey guys, I really have to be fair and balanced like Fox News here and say, based on some of the comments, that getting campaign donations isn't being bribed. I have no doubt that Baucus got just as much from lefty organizations, probably more than the few % of his total campaign spending he got from HMO's so how does that qualify as "bribed". If the unions and Soros are for public health care and they gave him more than HMO's did how was he "bribed" into taking their side?

  • hey guys check out the video Best Reverse Video Yet.................... its by l84golf67 and its great. its just like this

  • This man is a liar, he wife isn't beautiful.

  • Please do hold Baucus and other battleground state Democrats accountable and don't vote for them. This will help Republicans get back into the majority quick. I'm hoping for a comeback of the 90's cost-cutting balanced budget conservatives, not the 2000's type. Who's the next Gingrich? Forward!

  • Jesus F'ing Crhist! Is that what someone else's life means to you??? A political statement??? You make a perfect Republican. Moses, Saddam, Hitler and a whole pantheon of other nasties are proud of you.

  • his life is made into a political statement here, that's the whole ad. As to you liberals holding centrist Demos who are worried about the budget accountable, and not voting for them, I say, yes please.

  • If he did not have the money to get on health insurance before they found out about his condition, he needs to pay everything he and his family and relatives and friends can, and then the people of Billings need to help him with the rest. Put your story out there, there's always a rich guy with a heart of gold who's willing to give you .005% of his net worth. And there's doctors who will operate for less in these kinds of circumstances.

  • It should be illegal for the people that run this country to take bribes. That is the one thing that is ruining this country.

  • This country is owned lock stock and barrel by the corporations who are empowered by the brain-dead.. Every sane American needs to move to Canada.

It's a shame ... before reagan this used to be a good country.

  • An independent investigator needs to look at all this guy's credit card payments and other purchases for the last 10 years--he better not have had enough money to get on health insurance in the past, and can't now that they've found out his heart issue. A lot of people want to spend whatever they feel like on taco bell, movies etc; instead of buying insurance and then when they get something serious, act surprised that nobody wants to take on their $50,000 problem for $150/month premium.

  • "BoldProgressives"

If you were a bold progressive you'd also oppose HR 3200 since it is basically the Baucus bill but with a really shitty and watered down public option.

  • If the government would stop spending all of our tax dollars on "special interests" there would be plenty of funds to help people that fall through the insurance cracks of coverage. In IL my son with diabetes can't get an individual policy...not offered. But there already is public health care out there and it is run like the rest of the government with waste and corruption. The crooks in WA need to fix that first before they start a new public health disaster. Reform WITHOUT more government!

  • Vote him out he is on the Big Insurance Pay-Roll why else vote against it, lots of people are like you !!! We can go to the other side of the world to kill people that by the way did nothing too us?But we can't take care of our own????Big money Companies own our Representives!!!

  • lol @ propaganda.

    what a joke.

  • Thank you for making this, it's the absolute truth. I would move to Canada in a heartbeat for this reason.

  • yes Baucus is a piece of crap & so and so is aptly named dogcrap goofball! You are represented by Senators on a gov health plan you jerk - lets hope the Pres makes an end run around jerk-offs like you & extends Medicare to all who need it like this guy in the video.

  • Go fuck yourself Mr. Baucus. Go fuck yourself.

  • Max Baucus is piece of shit... this guys blood is on his hands.

I don't think anyone has any issue with paying for insurance coverage... but the insurance companies SWINDLE people into paying and then denying coverage... and NOW, thanks to that piece of shit Baucus, we are going to be FORCED to pay for coverage that will be DENIED... so so sick of living in a country completely OWNED by corporate scum bags.

  • I moved to a country with national health care over 15 years ago and wouldn't move back to the US now.

Meanwhile, family members who HAD health insurance have had to go bankrupt due to the large remaining amounts on their medical bills.

I wish my fellow Americans the same peace of mind I have.

  • And for making that statement you will someday end up in that very same situation. That which you put out into the universe will be attracted back to you. Prepare yourself, it is coming.

  • You cast aspersions far too easily. They arranged payment plans. They have more integrity than you can dream of because they are willing to admit that losing the house when one has children is far more detrimental to the children than going bankrupt.

Luckily, the state had that same integrity and agreed with them.

There is a lesson necessary here, d. That lesson is empathy. Until you have learned that, your humanity will suffer.

    Good luck.

  • A great video with a powerful message. Call your reps, we need this public option.

  • dogcrap: Sure there are a handful of rich Canadians who travel to the US or other places to get ELECTIVE surgery. But the idea that a Canadian with ANY kind of emergent or life threatening condition would have to wait is RIDICULOUS. Anyone needing treatment like that gets it IMMEDIATELY. It's elective procedures you might have to wait for there - just like here!!! Go see your doctor today and get referred to a specialist. The next available appointment will be some time in December.

  • the reason there are but a handful. Is because the rest of Canada was taxed into marginal existense.

    There aint nothing for free.

  • No, dogcrap, your silly talking point is the lie (the dogcrap as it were). Canadians LOVE their healthcare system. Love it. Poll after poll after poll, approval is in the high 80's. And the tiny percentage who say they dont like it still benefit from it, but oppose it because of twisted ideological views like yours. To Canadians the idea of not getting care because you can't pay for it is foreign. It doesn't make any sense to them. CBO scores that a strong public option saves $110 billion.

    .

  • The fact that conservatives are ignorant of reality is no surprise ... however, their pride in that ignorance is absolutely astounding.

    SINGLE PAYER NOW!!!!

  • Max Baucus gives prostitutes a bad name

  • Please donate so that Montana residents will call Senator Baucus and ask him whose side he is on. Please donate.

  • PLEASE DONATE!! Everyone donate just one dollar. Every Montana resident needs to see this. This tiny group of conservative Democrats (of which Baucus is the ring leader) who are blocking the public option - they represent states with tiny populations. All 6 of the states of the "gang of six" do not even add up to Los Angeles population-wise. Think about that. This tiny group is keeping the rest of us from what we want. 65% of Americans want a strong public option.

  • Approximately 3,000 people (or about the same number of people killed on 9/11) will die each month through a lack of availability to health care. We can fight terrorists halfway around the world costing trillions of dollars, but we can't prevent a monthly death toll equal to that of 9/11. This is America, YES WE CAN!

  • I just donated $20 to help air this ad. Please, if you want health care to change, do the same and give those corporatist ba$tards a run for their money by funding progressive causes.

  • Great ad!!

We need a strong public option NOW.

  • We should call it what it is: graft. Max Baucus is on the take. His vote is for sale.

  • Virtually every politician's vote is for sale. The system needs to change. We need to outlaw all private political campaign contributions (legalized bribery). Public financed campaigns is the solution.

  • Dynamite Ad.

  • What "private" system? The public hands markets to insurance and then gives them more legal rights than normal business, and the public funds the majority of advances in science and technology. The holding companies merely profit from our advances.

  • Give young people the option to pay into a medicare like program, NOW! I am sick of this ethically challenge political game propping up some meaningless, Wall Street, and local community parasites while people die.

  • You are an idiot and an asshole all in one. You are basically telling the guy to deal with it.

What you don't understand is that Private Insurance Companies deny coverage like this even when you pay your bills.

I thought you Conservatives are usually the "Religious" people, right? It is too bad most of you are hypocrites.

  • @dogcrapgreen.... You, sir, are an IDIOT!!! Not just because of your flawed logic but because you comment on a video and can't even spell properly. I won't point out the word you misspelled. I'll let you work that on your own. Good luck with that 6th grade education (although I could spell that word in the third grade so I guess you are just challenged).

  • This is possibly one of the sickest posts I've seen on the internet, and that's saying something.

First of all, if he had been living in a place like England or Germany he would have gotten his operation instantly.

He cannot pay his bill because his insurance company dropped him. If he dies it is 100 percent the fault of the American Private System.

He's already paying every way he can, with the help of friends and family. Yet you seem to advocate shifting his debt onto his kid and wife.

  • BS

If it's life threatening in the UK, you get seen immediately.

There are only waiting lists for hip replacements, and other non life threatening ailments.

Why do you spread these R/Q lies?? Why is it that you people don't want these people to get be able to get affordable coverage?? It won't affect your policy if we have a PO.

Why do you seem to think that it's these people fault that they are sick and un-insured?

  • You are simply lying. The care he needed is not provided by an emergency room surgon.

He would have most certainly been on the same waiting list that cancern pateint with treatable breast and colon sprial into a terminal state while waiting.

  • You are the one who is lying.

Canadians don't have to come to America, they are satisfied with the system they have. So is every other major industrial country, because the single payer system works!

Plus, emergency cases never have to wait 2 months for an operation. Ever hear of triage?

  • You sir, are an idiot.

  • who's an idiot??

Did you participate in a Tea party?

  • sorry.

    Right.

Dog crap is living in his won safe little world

  • dogcrapgreen, are you making a bad joke or are you insane?

  • So, you'd sell you house to pay the bills?

Go bankrupt?? You're calling him a dead beat because he hasn't got 100 grand lying around to pay the bill???

You sir, are part of the problem.

If you or your family was in his situation, you'd sing a different tune my friend.

This man would be saved with a public option.

The private system is the reason he is in debt and under enourmous pressure.

This ad says it all as far as I'm concerned, cause I have pre-existing and can't afford the $1400 a mo

  • America is becoming like a third world country. I'm never voting again if this passes. Ever. Fuck em.

  • *doesn't pass*

  • Been watching a little too much Glen Beck lately?

  • I meant doesn't. Fuck off lol...

  • Good and I'm glad you clarified it. I am praying that our Democratic congress will grow a pair and get tough. It's about time for them to stand firm for a chance on the Public Option and pass it. It's time.

  • the new term for "Blue Dog Democrats" is "Bush Dog Democrats!"

  • I agree. Hold Senator Baucus accountable. Hold all blue dog Democrats accountable! Or re-elect true Democrats in their place.

    We need public option, now!

  • america is such a third world country, they need to have ads showing ppl dieing before anything actually gets done

  • For a few pieces of silver Max Baucus is betraying his country and constituents.

I'm contributing to this ad in the hope that it will inspire the people of Montana to rise up at stop him.

  • I'm posting this from my wife's YouTube account. She's dead now ... she was uninsured...

Thank you, Sen. Baucus ... may you rot in hell.

  • Well, one thing for sure, baucus proves that low life scumbags aren't restricted to the republican party.

    Go to hell, baucus.

  • Baucus turns his back on his own constituents, like Bing, to protect million dollar paychecks of private insurance executives.

    Some democracy...

  • ANY DEMOCRAT who fails to support a bill with a strong/substantial/muscular/robust public option needs to be primaried out of office at the next opportunity.

Also, all bills/amendments withOUT such a public option mucs be voted down.

If the American people get a shit bill that is a sell out to the insurance companies we will have only the Democrats like Baucus to blame.

We can *expect* the *Republican* scumbags to sell us out on this.

Please, Senator Baucus don't vote with the scumbags.

  • Right on the money.

We need either national heathcare, medicare for all, or a Public Option so that EVERY person in this country is insured.

I was born in the UK and lived in England until I was 27.

Never a worry, ever about what it might "cost" if I got sick.

This system is a disgrace, and even the most stubborn R/Winger here won't complain once the Public Option is in place. Everyone will be covered, and no-one will go B/rupt as a result of gettijng sick.

  • I was referring to that idiot dogcrap green who suggested that te guy in the ad is a deadbeat. Dogcrap is an excellent name for that poster. He's a piece of shit.

  • Good luck Bing..
