i hate the knive on this game everyone just whats to knive and not shoot, i use to love this game but when i came back to playing it after 3 months out from playing it i really hate the game now, i could shoot someone but they dont die then they turn and kill me theres to many people that know the game to well all the tricks and hiding places it makes the game shit for others. the worse thing is the long waiting time to resporn after dieing. Why so long?

The latest patch REALLY fucked the knife. If you try to flying knife someone from above, you just end up standing on their head holding your knife in front of you, unable to change weapons for like 4 seconds.

wtf? I have a platinum knife and I rarely knife. given the opportunity I'd rather shoot the guy and get the kill on my gun. I know a guy who has over 3000 tags. but he does kind of cheat (lightweight). it has failed a few times but for the most part, when I knife someone, I catch them off guard, & I do get the knife kill.

@Sublime360vids Actually I have yet to play the PC version. In fact I only played the PS3 Demo back a few months ago. Though I have yet to play the full game, I can only think of one instance in which my knife missed; and that was no problem for me because I simply knifed again because he still didn't notice me. So essentially, as far my experience goes, my knife may go through the person in an incredibly glitchy way, but in the end it registers the kill.

Some would say its two things:

Its range is short (but go figure, its a KNIFE) and that bullets do more damage compared to bc1 so its harder to get close enough without getting shot before you get a stab.

I'm pretty happy with the knife as it is, you can still kill people who have their backs to you or if you surprise them in close quarters but its unlikely you will run up to anyone from the front and just zigzag between the shots and get a kill from 20ft distance like you did in BC1.
