In Daimos, only Richard (Kazuya) is the martial artist, whereas in Voltes V, Jamie and Big Bert were seasoned fighters. (Jamie as a Ninja Girl and Big Bert as a Battle Tactician) In the end, Daimos collapsed in the Pyramid as Tranzer, while Voltes V flew back to Earth, fully restored and this alone shows Voltes V's superiority over Daimos!

It's a custom of many American anime meddlers to link up several unrelated stories to turn it into a new universe as in the case of Robotech

Voltes V was on of the great source of inspiration for me...It was the first aniime that captured the hearts of Filipino kids back in those times...Until, Dictator Marcos and his martial law banned it ...

Voltes V on the other hand has a better sound track, musical scoring,and theme song! BORUTESU FAIBU NI the very famous Voltes V opening and Volting in song. Even the closing song is superb!

Voltes V is the original concept of the 5 machines turning into a one huge robot made in 1977 after Combatler V. Voltron( Golion ) obviously took the idea of voltes v in 1981 but they are both good looking robots. However,the story of voltes V is far more superb than that of Voltron. It has a sense and is consistent with the plot unlike voltron which had been edited.:-)
