These home videos ( I am sure there used to be more on Youtube ) capture all the tracks that weren't on the video. The video gives the impression that the concert was only 50 minutes long. It would be great if he did it again - he now performs the music live - it was mostly tape playback during this period - esp. Houston and London. Maybe a full version DVD will be available sometime.
This video is a piece of history. The "official video" does not make justice to this concert.
Also is interesting to see how the musicians performs imporvisation on JMJ speech. They look relaxed, even if they are playing over 1 million people!!!
who did actually catch JMJ´s hat ;) ? he/she must´ve kept is as a charised souvenir of the event :D I was in Oxygéne Tour 1997 (Hartwall Arena, Helsinki.. Finland) :D
I was 12 when I went to rendezvous Houston. I have been to may concerts since. There is NOTHING that compares to What Jean Michel Jarre accomplished that night. The entire city EXPLODED in music and excitement. There are no words.
I was there, too. And I felt the same. Man, I am STILL crying watching this! untOuchtube, just remember the skies! All the FX and fireworks! We were like shivering, dancing, screaming altogether. My mum couldn't stop weeping for two days.....
Do you remember Equinoxe 5 from Houston? It must haven been a haunting experience...
I Remember Equinoxe 5 from Paris 1990. It's the best track he has ever written. The skyscrapers in La Defence bears some resemblence to the Houston Skyline..

Wow - you were that close? We were a mile away at least! Still the most amazing thing I have ever seen and I'm happy I was able to be part of it :)

I was ten days shy of turning 13. We sat on Allen Park, between the lateral arrays of stereo monitors.
Absolutely stunning. Speechless then, speechless now.
