I love the original classic, but Peter Jackson's version really showed an emotional side of this story. I cant believe some people hate this movie just because Kong ain't in the first 10 Min's of the movie. If you guys remember, Jaws wasn't shown until the very near end and that movie was a classic. Jackson did the same thing here, he didn't show Kong off until the first 45 Min's of the movie and this to me, kept the suspense up. Also this TV spot is great.
King Kong(2005) to me was an excellent movie, but when they were traveling on the ship to the island was too long, they deleted scenes out of the movie that should've never been deleted.
Never have figured out why this movie didn't make more money than it did. Maybe it was too long. Or maybe it came too soon after "Narnia." Or something.
@ScratStitch It was too damn long. Theaters can play a two hour movie more times per day than a three hour movie, so that's one factor. Also, people liked but didn't LOVE this movie. Had no business being three hours long. This could easily have been edited down a bit. A lot of that opening boat ride could go, and Jimmy/Mr Hayes can go, too.
saw this on release day when i was ten i loved it. i was obsessed with this movie i would watch it everyday and now i have the extended version. i cried like a girl at the end the worst part was all my buds were there and i try not to cry in front of people.
yeah but he was still alive trying to stay above water when jack came and saved him? i dunno, movie cam out in 05? 4 years later i finally realize jimmy died?
@Dan33977@Dan33977 I see a lot of movies, and I disagree about your assessment on The Dark Knight. I think it's a fantastic film. Too bad it's about Batman...audiences have trouble taking it seriously.
