2014/15 is the next Lunar Tetrad (Rev. 6.12) on passovers and tabernacles, and won't happen again till 2582/83. The Dome on the Rock is to be torn down and 3rd Temple begins construction in or right next to the Tetrad, since the last two feast Tetrads fell in 1949/50 and 1967/68. Rev.6.12 shows us in order the great earthquake (2010-11), unique solar ecliplse (H3 Nov. 3, 2013) and Tetrad. The Tribulation is 2,520 days from Feast of Trumpets, Sept. 14, 2015 to Aug. 7, Tisha B'Av, Sunday, 2022.

We both need the Temple,. Jews and Christians for the coming of the Moshiach ( Messiah). Of course when the annointed one arrives we'll see who it is and have to accept that verdict. But until then we've got to get behind this project - its central to who we are. The peace process has to be called off, we can't start giving away parts of Israel and the Dome of the rock there has to go.

I don't see why the Temple couldn't be built right beside the Mosque and the Dome. All the other sites are right on top of each other, and the old Temples were beautiful work of ancient architecture. I'd love to see it rebuilt!

@ABookwormAndProud the temple must be built hovering over the rock that currently sits under the Dome of the Rock, and it contains lots of space that the Al-Aqsa Mosque and DOme of the Rock take up. also, non-jews, as stated by the archaeological piece found on the Temple mount, cannot enter the Temple under pain of death, although there is a Court of the Gentiles that one can stand in quite close to the Temple

You are thinking of the original menorah, which Hashem made for Moshe - but remember that there were ten. How could they have all been constructed?

Maimonides' design is rather simple, and does not contain all of the details about the flower and cups which are found in Torah. Also, he seems to contradict the several chapters of Ezekiel from chapter 40 to the end of 47, which clearly discuss the Prince (Moshiach) who will come to the Third Temple and make various sacrifices.

Thanks, is there evidence for this assertion in the Tenach? I notice in Ezekiel's glorious prophecy of the second temple it isn't mentioned once and you'll be familiar with Jeremiah's absolute assertion to the contrary (Jer 3:16).

First of all, the quote that you are making reference to means that in the future, people will have the correct attitude about the Ark of the Covenant, and not view it as a mere protective charm to ward off evil. Rashi says that the entire JEWISH people will be filled with a spirit of sanctity since God's presence will rest on them collectively, so in a sense, they will be the Ark. This interpretation fits the verse and also aligns with other prophecies of the end of days. If the shoe fits...

I was there that night as a tourist. One of the most incredible things I've ever witnessed. One had the sense that we were observers of eternal history unfolding. As an evangelical Christian, this reminds me of the promise that the Messiah has made to come -- again. The folks at the Temple Institute are great. If you ever make it to Jerusalem, you should make visiting the TI a priority. It will completely alter how you look at Temple Mount.

It's a beautiful piece but not fit for the use in teh Holy Temple, may it be rebuilt in our days. It's not knocked from one solid piece of gold (Miksha), and it's round instead of vertical. The Menorah in the Beis Hamikdash was vertical as the Rambam (Maimonides)illustrated, not round as depicted by the Romans on The Shar Hatitus which was done to humiliate the Jews.

Yes, I am. He made a foolish mistake because he was guided by ideas other than those of the Torah. We are paying for his mistake until today. Arabs throw down stones upon us from their vantage point on the Temple Mount above so that our prayers are interrupted, and people are sometimes injured.
