"FRACTIONAL RESERVE LENDING" is basically where they relend a part of money that was already lent and redeposited..
There is a 10% reserve requirement which means commercial banks can loan out 90% of a deposit,, the borrower spends or redeposits,, either way the money invariably gets redeposited and then 90% of it is reloaned again at interest,,, this creates more debt than money due to interest owed...
I guess the banks destroy the loan principal upon repayment as well

War is the least of our economic worries. The US is in a 53 trillion obligation debt for all of the entitlements we have promised. In 20yrs the entire federal budget will go to Social Security and Medicare. That means no money for education, defense and what ever else we spend money on. We have to seriously evaluate the role of our government. It wouldn't be such a problem if the govt stuck to what the Constitution say's; that is to protect the rights of the citizens and not provide for them.

The Keating Five was actually a partisan endeavor. It was 4 Democrats and 1 Republican (McCain). The only reason McCain was dragged into the mess was because the Democratic leadership didn't want people to think that Democrats were at fault, so they threw in McCain to make it a none partisan issue. Even the investigator in the case said that McCain should have never been investigated. That's why he was cleared of all charges.

People are innocent until proven guilty. If the ethics board(full of Democrats) say that McCain is innocent then perhaps he is innocent. Don't get me wrong, I'm am not a fan of McCain nor am I a supporter. I just believe that if the Democrats can't find something to crucify him on, then he probably didn't do anything wrong. I agree with the whole "Bad Judgment" statement, but that doesn't make the man guilty.

half of you have no idea wat you are talking about. the banks money in most cases didnt dissapear the government a few years ago made banks show their mortgages with a market value how ever dude to inflation and a constantly moving interest rate you can not put a price on a mortgage until its paid off. so as people started to default on their mortgages the banks were losing money so they demanded from whom they lended the money to that they needed the money which is legal and of course no one.

can pay off the mortgage so as no one wanted to buy a mortgage their market value dropped to zero because of the small demand for them however they are really worth more than that and tax payer if the bill is approved can make a lot of money off of these mortgages. if the plan isnt passed we along with the rest of the world will fall even deeper into a recession. This 700 billion dollars is more than a investment in our own country than anything. please do research before you post lol

I got myself into these debts but the govt wont bail me out. I also was laid off last week for economic reasons. Where is my help.
