  • these horses are beautiful!...Ive had a black and white national show horse once...we did alot of saddleseat riding and he loved showing...he liked to show off

  • @Cyberg00se I think you're mixing saddlebreds up with walkers on the whole 'messing with their legs' issue. Saddlebreds are mostly trotting breeds, they step high naturally, they don't throw their legs out in front of them like the tennessee walkers. The only effect soring would have on them would be causing lameness. Also, in any shows, the horses are tested for signs of soring and if any are found they are disqualified and the sorer is sent to jail and fined (as it is after all, a felony)

    As

  • They do step high and naturally throw their legs out. I knew a retired broodmare who long ago lost her girlish figure, but she didn't go from point A to point B without style and class. She was a grand old lady.

But the horses on the show circuit are treated like crap. Why not set the tail? Why not frak with the feet to make them step higher! And the judges reward this crap, which is why the saddlebred show world is worthless.

  • @cybertiger25 And that's why I hate the Saddlebred show world, because the horses are great and deserve better than set tails and abused legs, and people screaming at them in the stands and other special techniques to fire them up before a class. The same goes for Arabians.

  • how the hell is this abuse? its just a naturally high-stepping breed doing its thing and enjoying the show and attention it gets from showing. i see no cruelty here.

  • I think Hollywood starts should go back to riding carts and Saddlebreds, then we'll have a classier Stars (Unlike Ke$ha in a Clapped out 5.0) and it wil encourage the population to ride horse and cart. If we go back to Horse and Cart, and lose our dependance on foreign oil.

  • These are beautiful horses. I love the video. Great job to the person who made it! it's too bad there are crazy people on here that post on subjects they know nothing about or have seen something done by one group and assume the whole lot of them are evil. shame folks are so narrow minded especially for the 21st century!

  • @Saartje05 "Monaco foals By the Saddlebred stallion Monaco"

yup look at these poor abused babies! they must just beat the crap out of them to get them to trot in a pasture. The poor things, Seriously, for being OLD you act like you are five! Actually, i know some five year olds that are more mature than you are!

  • @Saartje05

no ones forcing me its just over whelming. because most of what we see on here is fighting. we want to read about the video NOT fighting between two children.

  • Gosh, i just wanted to read a bunch of cool comments about how Awesome saddlebred are and instead i read a fight between two people! Grow up! if you want to fight fine, but do it through messages so the rest of us dont have to read them.

  • Fantastic! Don't they just look beautiful!!! I love the classical music too.

  • @swNapoleon16 And now in English..... Btw. I'm a judge in horse shows.

  • @Saartje05 Oh so now u know how old I am?? Creepy much? The only thing ats pathetic is you bcuz u hve no idea what ur talkng about and you are making yourself look retarded arguing about somehing u don't know

oh shoot I abreviated... Darn I look pathetic don't I??

    Sorry if it bothers u

  • @swNapoleon16 Btw. You it's funny you tell me it's retarded to argue with someone I don't know. So tell me girl, what are you doing? Aren't YOU argueing with ME either? So I guess you're retarded too. How convenient.

  • @Saartje05 Hey did you catch the part were I said SOMETHING and NOT SOMEONE mayb u r the stupid one and for ur f@&king info I'm not reatrded and are probably smarter than u will ever be. And if ur a full grown adult I probably have more honors in highschool than u ever dreamed of having and I don't think that's retarded.... The flipp'n smartest person in the world could abb. If he wanted to are u gonna call him retarded too??

  • @swNapoleon16 Yes. Because it IS retarded. Smart persons don't need to write like that. But you as 'smart' person knows that. Don't you?

  • @Saartje05 ohh.... you slipped up in your sentence and said 'knowS' instead of 'know' im afraid your starting to become "retarded"

and this whole thing is rele starting to piss me off and sadly for you, you are going to meet many "retarded" people becuase im sure everybody atleast once in the fn life is going to abb. something

your not worth my time. bcuz your right and im wrong thats all i have to say

  • @swNapoleon16 A smart person knows, not know. A person knows. But even when I make MISTAKES it's not that weird. English is not my first or even second language. How's your Dutch? And I REALLY don't give a shit if it pisses you off or not. That's your problem, not mine. And it's 'you're not worth my time' not 'your'. And yes, YOU'RE right that I'm right and you're wrong. So byeeeee.

  • @Saartje05

    @swNapoleon16

GROW UP! BOTH OF YOU! if you really want to smack each other around using words then doing via Messages so we don't have to read the irrelevant conversation between you two!

  • @Saartje05 F-U! THESE HORSES ARE NOT BEING ABUSED YOU MORON!!! THERE ARE PLENTY OF HORSES THAT LIVE "FREE" IN A PASTURE WHO ARE STARVING BECAUSE THE PASTURE IS NOTHING BUT WEEDS AND THEY ARENT GIVEN THE PROPER FOOD! THESE ANIMALS ARE HAPPY, THEY'VE GOT GOOD WEIGHT, AND THEIR COATS ARE IN NICE CONDITION! STOP BEING SUCH A PETARD AND RESEARCH YOUR SUBJECT MATTER BEFORE POSTING RIDICULOUS CLAIMS!

  • @Saartje05 Hell ur the one replying with lies bcuz u don't know what the he'll ur talking about take ur own advice

  • @Saartje05 well excuse me but i do for your info i ride both walking horses and saddlebreds and just so you know BOTH of those horses run thru my field ALL the time high high heads and tails and when i use a bit that you think is "abusive" I NEVER HAVE TO PULL ON THEIR MOUTH the only time its used is when they step outta gait

  • @swNapoleon16 Did you see the video's on youtube? Please do and then say again the horses aren't been abused. If you don't do it, great, but video's tell a different story.

  • @Saartje05 well let's see what will happen of the rein breaks and the horse has free control of it's head!! Omg horse that freaks out and causes chaos in the arena sure seems like a splendid idea to me!!! :-0 let's do that!

And no not unnatural NATURAL geez people

  • @swNapoleon16 What is funny you all keep quiet about the cutting of the tail muscle.

  • @Saartje05 cutting of a tail muscle?? rele so u think they stick their hand up the moms vagina and do it to a baby in the womb? bcuz i saw a saddle bred pop out n as soon as she was runnung guess what!!! her tail had a high position amazing isnt it?

  • @swNapoleon16 Not like they keep them in the shows. That's not possible. Keeping their tails high in excitement or keeping them high because the muscle is being cut looks totally different.

  • @Saartje05 Omg this is getting ridiculous u apparently dot know what your talking about..... And apparently you haven't been to a barn and seen them run in the pasture bcuz they do wether u choose to believe it or not

  • @murphy60083 U jus described abused TWH not saddle breds...

And all that you see is NATURAL go to a saddle bred farm and look at the new born babies of you don't believe mr

  • @Saartje05 Ok chains on the legs?? Saddle Breda don't use that those are walkers... If your gonna hate on the breed do some research so you can do proper arguing with other people...

And yes not EVERY horse has good treatment to it and I am fully aware of that. Those r just the stupid people who do not care who treat their horses like that not ALL of them

  • @swNapoleon16 I don't hate the breed, it's not the horse's fault. I hate the people who abuse them. And I do realise not all owners are bad, but we all know many are.

  • @Saartje05 Well there are abusers to every breed of horse mule and pony.. And that is known but way more than 80% percent of the stuff y'all consider "abuse" I'd natural to the horse jus like walkers.

  • @swNapoleon16 What Americans call 'natural' we call abuse yes. Let's talk all kinds of animals. Dogs. Cropping everything, ears, tails, Cats, declawing (what idiot came up with THAT?), Horses. Cropping tail, and all the stuff I said before. Americans consider that all 'natural'.

  • @Saartje05 omg rele? im an american i ride these horses and i know people who rides these horses who have never done half the S*%^T your talking about.. do YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT?? it is freakn natural they come out gaiting with high tails and posture jus like walkers do. if you choose not to believe this its your own dag uhm fault

  • @swNapoleon16 What's 'rele' for a word? Of course there are people who don't do that. But sadly MANY DO!

  • @Saartje05 Ok smart A have u never appreviated before? Apparently not

  • @swNapoleon16 No, it's stupid. A total disaster for any language.

  • I hate when people think this is torture or abuse! Saddlebred's naturally hold their heads high! They naturally have a lot of action! Yes we train them to have moreaction, it doesn't HURT them! Every saddlebred I've ever met is very happy! Before you criticize why don't you learn about the training, the breed, and how we ride.

  • @HarlemsBoomerangLvr Sure they keep their head high, sure they have a lot of action. But you just as well as I do there's no horse in the world that keep their tail like that, without it being cut or having something holding it up. Please dont'call that natural. And I bet you train them having more action by using double horse shoes?

  • @Saartje05 ok so apparently you have not seen Arabians... And wether you choose to believe it or not IT IS NATURAL do your research before you say stuff like this please ppl that say crap like this drive me crazy. And if I want my walkin horse and or saddle bred to throw their feet high without causing them pain.. Same way we learn things practice and patience

  • @swNapoleon16 so you're the exception on the rule. Good for you.

  • @Saartje05 No I am not the exception go to a saddle bred farm and look at the babies tht jus pop'd outta their momma get em runnin thru the field and you will see thy NATURALY hold their head high and they NATURALY do the fancy walking so please do ur research about the breed thanks

  • @Saartje05 I'm not saying everybody doesn't do that but have you ever been to a local 4-H show were half the lol kids who rode dot even know what u jus posted is??jus like walkers half of these horses come out naturaly gaiting with natural tail and head positions

  • @swNapoleon16 Half of these horses. And what about the other half?

  • @Saartje05 the other half are used as pleasure and tail horses bcuz they dont have show quality thats what! and unless you know whatyour talking about when it comes to working and riding with this breed of horses please stop talking about this stuff

  • Shame, old saartje5 is completly in the dark. Nothing will perform under pain. Put a thorn in your foot and see if you can walk. You just want attention to be noticed on youtube with your unfounded comments

  • @wayupian I agree that this is not cruelty, but what about circuses and Bick Lick TWHs?

  • @wayupian AMEN!

  • @wayupian Not always true. Just look at some of the methods used in Tennessee walking competitions. I know saddlebreds a truely a naturally showy horse and will lift high with some encouragement. But saying "nothin will perform under pain" is a load of crap. I've seen it first hand in western horses.

  • Geez, talk about abuse. Horrible.

  • This is pure torture to an animal. Discusting!

  • @Veigaluso

    So true!!

  • To all you trash talkers out there, look at the horses fucking ears, they're forward. If they were in pain or unhappy they most definitely would not be forward...

  • @theonlytime16

Their ears can be forced forward with ear plugs. That's nothing new.

  • @Saartje05. No one does that. they dont need to. You dont know anything about this breed except from your group of friends biased opinions. Grow up, no ones going to listen to you. your wrong. just learn to except that. i've been in this industry for 40 years and have won many national titles. I know all of the trainers, and there is no harsh training methods used. This breed loves to learn and perform.

  • @theonlytime16

'My' group of friends'? I don't know anyone on here. But I do know a lot about horses and I do know how horses like this are being trained. That you don't want to see what's been done to these animals is your problem. If you're so blind you don't see the using lines to keep their heads FAR too high, you're blind. The fact you won titles doesn't mean a thing. I just made you blind for the horses well fare.

  • @Saartje05..... when i train these horses and help other trainers train them, their is no harmful things happening to them. They are always happy and great learners. And thats called an "over check" it doesn't hold their head up. the horse holds its own neck up through breeding and many long relaxing hours of muscle training, no pain involved. I do not know about anyone in my industry who hurts horses in training, and am very against horse abuse.get your facts straight.

  • @theonlytime16 Search for a couple of video clips and you'll find many of your friend 'not' abusing the horses.

  • @Saartje05 well as a person who has seen these horses in real life and had the pleasure of riding them... some of them NATURALY hold their heads high... just like walking horses pop out of their momma gaiting! its a natural thing for some.. jus like SOME western pleasure horses are forced to keep their heads to low.. some come naturaly.. the first time i rode my 3 yr. old QH i could not get his head up when we trotted... he was born for pleasure

  • @swNapoleon16 and im not saying some of then arent being forced to do this.. im jus saying to some it comes natural... and i have encountered ppl abusing horses in these situations but not all the time no.... you jus have to understand the breed and what they are bred to do, some times the lines are only their to enhance the fact that their heads are held high

  • @swNapoleon16

Exactly, it also gives the horse something to lean into a little as they tire instead of the drivers hands. You'll see the lines on driving draft horses all the time set to a natural angle to that breed and individual's neck carriage. But no one ever complains about them... hmm, wonder why? :)

  • @Jitsu Haha I know I agree completly haha another thing is I bet half these people who comment on this an ride horses also do something that would

make other people pissed haha.... People are odd it's the same way with walking horses people believe that eeru horses faces abuse when that's not the case

  • To all these haters of this breed. I wasn't certain of the amount of cruelty of that these animals went through to look like this. Later I noticed I was buying a baby ASB. My little girl looks just like this when she is trotting in her field making the cars stop so they can watch her. Except her tail is flying in every direction. She is barefoot, and just started under saddle, and will never be shown, or treated differently then my nutty tb.

  • @Iammeyouareyou I agree with you to some it comes completly and totaly natural. That's the same with western pleasure horses, some are born with nice lil jogs and low heads while others have to work @ it

  • EVERY discipline of horse back riding has some sort of training that others will see as "cruel"...

What part of whipping a horse to go over a fence is natural?

I own a Belgain who was smacked between the eyes before an in hand class so he would raise his head. Was that natural? I have seen QH people LITERALLY a piece of wire as a bit. Do they naturally drag their noses on the ground?

There there are people in ALL disciplines that abuse and do unnatural things. EDUCATION is KEY

  • @tugsmom80

I don't know where you see horses are being whipped over fences. IF that's done the riders will be disqualifized. Here that is. All the things you're saying are illegal and it not done by official and good riders.

  • I don't mind the high movement, I understand that is mostly natural...I don't mind the aides to improve it, as long as it is not done with pain (soring)...I own plantation walkers( no pads). But the thing that really irks my about this breed is the tail. If it were just a set I could understand, but the practice of cutting the ligiments to achieve that high tail set really bothers me. But I have to say they are beautiful to watch aside from that .

  • @Calicat1994

In the US animals are being cut in every shape they want them. Horse tails are being cut. Cat's claws are being cut. Dog's ears are being cut. Dog's tails are being cut. Etc. Just to please the owner. It's totally ridiculous.

  • These are Saddlebreds, not Walkers! And I'm asking as one horse person to another, do these horses look unhappy? They have their ears up, they are expressive and traveling very normally for a saddlebred; as previously posted, often babies have this much motion with no training. Just look at the faces and ask if these are abused. Why not harass someone who owns a starving horse, not people who want to enjoy their breed for its beauty. Have you ever seen a baby doing dressage in the pasture?

  • @LadyShriver1 Thank god finally somebody who knows what their talking about!! I couldn't agree better

  • Seriously people , what part of this is acceptable ??? these horses have been deformed on purpose , intense torture to look like that .... what part is natural pls explain : the heavy shoes or the tail, holders or the injections

  • Actually they havent been deformed. They naturaly move like that. Even as foals. They're not Walkers. You dont need to pu heavy shoes on these horses to get them to put up their feet. lol. If your not sure about the breed. Dont comment.

  • @BlackStar3123 Couldnt have said it better myself

  • @BlackStar3123 Don't tell me you find these horses in the wild. Of course they are deformed. By breeding.

  • Prove that anything you just said is true. Get the fuck out of here with your gossip bullshit.

  • I wanted to reply to all these " christian " folks who know that what I said is true , it is not gossips and are so mad that they use the word " fuck " in every sentence ..... Pray the Lord good people with all your nasty cruel ways with horses.

  • Natural? Seeing these images makes me wonder what the equestrian world is coming to, very sad.

  • Yeah right, fyi I have with beautiful angels here, 26 horses I rescued from slauther because they were not good enough for shows anymore, I took them directly from the pens where they were starving waiting to be killed. 2 of them were walking horses with rotten hooves that took several months to heal due to pads and chains with acid on it. What's sad is people like you telling so candidly what hurts and what doesn't. I know everything about cruelty, I spent my entire life trying to stop it.

  • But these arent walking horses karminou. lol. god people. Get your breeds right. I ride Morgans and i can even tell the difference between walkers and Saddlebred.

  • yep look at these horses with such beauty and how they walk its wonderful :D

  • if you want the truth, just google soring the gaited horse and see what you get

  • @cowgirl2sassy Hey jus to let you know it's the walking horses that are sored ;-) jus thought ud like to know

  • lin, that is untrue, they "sore" their feet, they do have a natural gait, but the high stepping is not natural.

  • Ummm sorry dear but yes it is...and AS's are not soared that is Tw's...wrong breed dear look it up.

  • @cowgirl2sassy Once again with saddle breds it is natural and walking horses are the ones that are sored pleaser get ur facts straight ppl!

  • I think these harness horses are amazing! They are all beautiful and talented!

  • Maybe some of theses horses are being abused but most of them are not. None of the things listed above hurt the horse. And most saddlebreds who are raised to be showed love it. I would know I i have a saddlebred and when ever we goes to shows her ears are strait forward and she is exited. If u got onto her back and felt how happy she was you would take back what you said.

  • Wait a second. Acid doesn't hurt? God made their tails look like that? You're kidding right? They are beautiful, and if it were natural it would be impressive. But its SO artificial--why can't they just be amazing with their own natural talent? Why does it take all the above mentioned crap to win? God willing, saddleseat is a dying part of the horse world. They make us all look bad.

  • saddleseat is most definitely not a dying part of the industry. look at the morgan, arab, NHS, saddlebred, fresians, dutch harness horse and hackney breed shows. american saddlebreds are show horses from every aspect. they were not bred to be natural, they are bred to be freaks. thats their purpose. they are 100% SHOW horse. I'm sorry, but there isnt any form of riding or driving out there that isnt artificial.

  • If they are natural, why is a tendon in their tail cut for AESTHETICS? If they are bred that way, why are ENORMOUS pads put on their feet? Why do they wear chains on their ankles? Why do hackney's wear rubber tubing harnesses to make sure they can only have one foot on the ground at a time? Why do people shove cloves in their anuses? I promise, while dressage isn't perfect (far from it), I have NEVER had to put a grocery item in a horse's butt just to win.

  • people like you make the horse world look bad, cunt-rag. you don't know shit about these horses honestly you really don't. you can tell yourself you do but in the end your just an ignorant little dumb shit.

  • Go ahead, dazzle me with your experience and genius when it comes to this. Or are you just into spewing filth on a public forum? Read up kid, this stuff is the dirtly little secret of the horse world.

  • I know I'm right, I've been doing this my entire life. So don't try telling me or anyone else that this is the horse world's dirty little secret. You just think that because you are not a part of it. your probably some huntseat or whatever rider, I don't really care; people like you are so fucking boring to watch in the show ring. spewing filth? I'm speaking my mind, excuse me if ignorant jerk-offs like you piss me off enough to be profane. .

  • I am not a hunt seat rider. And it never fails to amaze me that somehow it is okay for you to speak your mind, but anyone else is just a, what did you call it, oh yeah, a cunt rag. And if you've been doing it all your life, it means you're either too stupid to see the harm you cause, or you just don't care. So tell me about soring and cutting the tail tendon. If I'm so ignorant, enlighten us all about just HOW the horses get such exaggerated movement and a bent tail.

  • They tie the tails up when the horse is in its stall and when it has its blanket on. over time the tails just stay like tht. Also, to add more color, trainers will put "Weeds" in the tails. You kno...just like we put exstentions in our hair. lol

  • @BlackStar3123 Oh yeah and they also stick their hand up the momma vagina and wrap the babies tail too!!!! Oh I forgot about that one!

It's natural a baby pops out gaiting and high head and tail movement good gracious.. And yes I wrap my horses tail. You know why? Bcuz people who show horses want to keep their tails clean they are not "tied" up as you say a saddle bred at my barn has never had any of that done to her and she looks jus as good as the ones in this vid.

  • murphy, prove that any of that happens. So stop listening to all the gossip bullshit your friends and trainers are saying and stfu. You probably dont ride horses.

  • @theonlytime16 By the way, why would I have a trainer to listen to if I don't even ride horses?

  • @XIXDeadGirlXIX666

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAA i laughed so hard when i read this!

I too ride saddleseat and i couldnt agree more wit wut you said about all this sick jealous people who just arnt talented enough to pull of the saddlebred style :)

  • @HVFOneMoreTime Haha I do too I ride saddle seat and I couldn't agree with you more!

  • @murphy60083 Oh good gravy hun it is do I need to show you a saddle bred baby that jus pop'd outta it's momma?? Bcuz it will gait and look exactly like the horses in that video xcept smaller... And the soring is for walking horses please get your facts and breed straight!!

  • this is natural! and also it dosent hurt them bits dont hurt horses well its just the way you use them and they treat them good also saddlebreds love it :D

  • coolness!! i wish my morgan was that good!!
